awesome video!
Hello, in the math sector how exactly did you measure the GPM without having any sensor in your build about flow rate? Thanks a lot.
Great instruction, thaks. Do you play the music while making the video or is it added later to distract us?
In this style of video can you just keep expanding this knowledge, levers, linkages, ect
Cut the music
is the pump pressure limited? if not, you should add a relief valve so you don't hurt yourself, high pressure subcutaneous oil injection can cause serious harm
Awesome! Now I just need to figure out how to afford solidworks
can you do a wiring diagram cos you just skipped over it what gets plugged in where what wires you dont need etc please
How about non-planar mechanisms?
Exactamente que audi trae esa transmisión. Me podrías ayudar con las versiones y modelos y años.
God bless you, haha i was like i wonder who's brave enough to try this. I am going to weld up a frame and try this but it will be a "from the ground up" project.
Are there not sensors to measure oil flow and also electro mechanical devices to control flow? Is a torque arm really necessary?
Do you sell just the Arduino sketches separately?
Great ideas if you add an explosion enclosure.
Will you use bolt lube from steel to alum. for final assembly,
Man! You deserve to be subscribed to...thank you
I wish u made replica parts so I can purchase them
I've 3d scanned and made a few things. What are you looking for?
That would never fit in a car, please make it more real
Very nice video. You can also do a simpler approach: make a circle using the 3-point circle method through all three points A. Do the same with points B. The center of the circles is the chassis pivot.
Is there a reason you went with the O1X gearbox versus the O1E?
01E is much harder to find and while it's a proven gearbox, the 01X seems to be strong enough for my goals. The adapter plate is the same (I believe) so if I decide to switch at some point it should be easy enough to do.
Cannot hear your voice over the music. Why do that?
This is truly amazing, I've been using these tools for years and never even thought to trace a path like that. Incredible !
I need help with a certain mechanism
The information super highway contains super information! Thankyou for this video.
What is the software to see the graph ?
That's Arduino's built-in serial plotter tool. It graphs the values you assign to it and you can toggle them on and off in the upper left-hand corner.
@@DirtyElbowsGarage thank you!
Hey Kid i miss the sound of yor proyect 8 to 1 merge exaust! how was it? I did a 8 to 1 merge proyect but installation was in the fire order from the distributor ...it was 429/460 ford boss Order; [1-5-4-6-3-7-8] and the sound is amazing...
What was the offset on the wheels? My friend and I intend to share wheels (one set gravel one set tarmac) and I need to know if the 15”s will clear the brakes on the MS3
The offset was +40mm I believe. The 15s are very tight. I would say it's definitely wheel dependent but for these specifically I had to die-grind a piece of the caliper casting to clear the wheel - not a crucial area structurally but too close for comfort. Long term I might downsize the front brakes to a Mazda3 system or something else that I won't need to think about.
@@DirtyElbowsGaragedid you have to increase the length of any of the suspension components? Trailing arms, endlinks, rear lower control arms? How was your suspension geometry after you did the lift? I’ve seen about 2 other people lift this platform and I haven’t seen anyone say anything about it?
All components were kept the same and I only lifted the height by 1/2". With that height change all the links still worked as intended and as far as geometry goes, I didn't build a full model of the cars suspension to verify it, but I imagine I shortened the roll moment by the tiny bit of lift. My thoughts are that this platform has a ton of potential - especially refined which my setup is nowhere near yet. Mazda knows chassis design and balance and it's amplified in a rally setting.
Are you keeping it front wheel drive?
N!ce
for correct measuring power you need also flow meter :)
Great job 😁
Ok glad to see you building it but why did you not make a base plate that would hold the pump and the engine or conect the square tubes? also why is the chain so long? Also if you put a cogged belt drive would help a lot. Base plate is the key and shorter drive! Great first try.
See Dyno 2.0 video!
And, I can't see the extremely thin lines on the monitor, on a tablet, so, off I go
Dude, when are you going to finish the mid engine car??
It's gonna be a while before it's done, but the next video is about it and I've been gathering a ton of parts for it.
@DirtyElbowsGarage I want to see how you do the shifting rods/cables. I'm so excited for the next video!!
😊
Love to see the RallySpeed 3 coming together and performing so well and a chef's kiss to that wheel-tire combo 🤌. Keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
Bro you are a genius 💪🏾
Wow! That is a REALLY cool arrangement!!! Props from an exhaust snob
I totally understand getting rid of the problematic "displacement on demand" but I would keep the VVT if you can
That is a lot of tubing... generally the tubes are arranged in the firing order to rotate around the merge collectors. This ensures that each cylinder that fire generates the most negative pressure wave to the next cylinder that fires. I designed NASCAR and F1 headers for Hendricks Motorsports and Toyota.
Agreed! This version of the headers is meant to explore what this will sound and perform like while being shaped symmetrically. I think a "revolver" style like you've mentioned would be the next version to have fun designing and making.
Excelent comment! i belive that the sound is different 100%
wow, very cool work with the 3d scanner. Thats almost like cheating.
AWESOME. FINALLY a high quality, tastefully edited mid-engine build. LOVE it. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Want to do something similar soon.
Thank you! More to come soon!!
I dig the headers but how high is the back of the body going to be? It’s so tall it looks like it’s going into a station wagon
Definitely tall, it won't be the tallest feature in the car but it's close. I've got some ideas to work it in but worse case scenario I redesign a set using a smaller radius.
You had me at Ryobie
8 to 1 is the best sounding hell yea brother ive had some crazy ideas for years about some biulds hopefully 1 day i will get around 2 mine !!
The curb weight of the vehicle will play a role in how much HP and torque you can apply to the transmission while still staying reliable, i.e., not grenading the transmission.
No back purging ? They will crack.
thank you !
This brings me inspiration for my own project. Thanks a lot man!!
What is the estimated cost all in for the mechanical parts to build this less the steel?
I was able to get everything for just under $1000. Prices vary depending on shipping and where you can get the parts from. I provide sources but it's possible to swap in cheaper options.
@@DirtyElbowsGarage ok, thank you
