so recently I visited Rishikesh with my friend Monil, and on our day 1, e decided to do River Rafting.
we all know that after Lakshman Jhulla, Rishikesh is known for it sports activities and that too primarily Rafting and Bungee Jumping.
A little information about River Rafting in Rishikesh:
You can do 3 route of Rafting, One is a 9 km route, the other is a 16km route, and the biggest one being 26km stretch.
The price of rafting in Rishikesh are comparatively cheaper on weekdays and higher on weekends.
Each raft has 8 people at a time, if you re in a group of 8, then you can do good bargaining.
we did the 16km route, which I think is good for your first experience. it starts from Shivpuri and extend to Ram Jhulla.
we were two friends so we paid 600 Rs each on Friday for it.
Anyway, money matter less and experience matters more.
so we had a really great experience and I would highly recommend it to you.
the rafting is very safe and all the video you see online as accident while rafting are just a way of getting more and more views .

How to Reach Rishikesh
By Bus-
The bus is always a good option to reach Rishikesh, no matter you are solo or in a group. You can take a bus from ISBT or from Anand vihar. It will take approx 6 hours for the Rishikesh main bus stop, from here you can take a private taxi, auto or sharing auto to reach Laxman Jhula or the exact point where you want to go.
By Car -
Delhi to Rishikesh by car is also a good option for hassle-free travelling.
It's a 6 to 7 hours journey.
- By Flight -
The nearest airport around Rishikesh is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun that is located at a distance of 35 km. Regular flights at the airport are available. It is purely a domestic airport and from here you can take a private cab which will take around 1 hour to reach Rishikesh.
By Rail-
The nearest railway station is only Haridwar Railway Station. You can easily reach Rishikesh by hiring a car from Haridwar railway station. Haridwar is well connected to all major cities and towns so people can reach this place comfortably.
