    Hey, I was monster hunter fan since ps2, but I was not able to play it alot. Monster Hunter World let me feel losted...hunt monsters that I preper for & then they runaway so looking for them ? I lost a track of them in this huge maps... :( that make me stop playing this game... Monster Hunter Wilds will be epic I bet, but that's 2025. I was love Monster Hunter 3 for PSP :) Now when I buy it MH Rise with Sunbrike deluxe editions bundle for great promo on PS5 I feel like hop on on this journey again! On MH world I feel it it was clunky & to slow on combat & from what I read MH rise is faster & more responsive on combat systems, that's feel more accurate when you want to go against huge monster with huge weapons & don't feel to slow, but having greater balance between power, size of the weapon & fast moving of it.. I really, really try it to love MH world... But when you got task to hunt some big monster & this think runaway & you are soooo slooow...& this think disappearing & you searching this monster for 2 hours & still nothink & ather monsters you are not interest in attack you & drain you from potions, energy, focus etc... It is so bad. I want to get to the fight and fight.... If I will need hunt some monster even if it's runaway, don't make that to hard & for hours. This is madness!!! You have in life some couple hours to play & most time spend to search big monster that running away from you? What a joke guys... MH Rise make thinks smooth & I love that! Monster Hunter Wilds will get everything improved, new & best from both games. But till then MH Rise is the one to have fun with :)

    YOU ARE WRONG! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Nah JK, as many have said you do you booboo! They both are MH games, thus both are great on their own right! Personally I will always pick World over Rise. Both do things great and poorly on different aspects, but for me MHW is a more complete experience than Rise. Sure, gameplay is suuuuper fun in Rise, but thats really it, and tbh it also felt kinda cheap and easy compared with some of world hunts tbh. RISE = more accessible/ WORLD = hardcore af

    The movment is so damn good in rise but I also wish it had more to it then “GO OVER THERE AND KILL MONSTER NOW” gameplay. All the maps in the base rise as well were little hallways that led to a wide empty area to fight. It also feels extra empty on pc because it was meant for switch and has less life to it.

    If you feel like you need a 20 min video to help you figure out a weapon or how to play MH, this franchise aint for you. In 300+ hours if you haven't figured out how to use pretty straightforward weapon mechanics across more that 4 weapons, MH aint for you. You're putting way to much thought into a franchise thats about gearing up and turning big monsters into a new pair of shoes, it aint that deep. It feels like you're standing in your own way of having the full amount of fun with these games. Just boot it up, load in, pick a weapon that looks fun run with it for a while. you'll pretty much figure out the cool stuff you can pull off inside a day of tinkering. GLHF 🫡

    Enjoy whatever game you like always. There is never a "best" or "only good one" like most buffoons will claim to say. They're only speaking their opinion. It matters only what the individual player likes, not what someone else says. You should only be trying games based off recommendations only. Not because some rando told you to play it unless they're your best friend or some such. I enjoy Rise over World. The only thing good about World imo are the graphics obviously and the soundtrack in some areas. That's it. I personally like Rise more. You get a Palico and a giant dog (Palamut) at your side at all times and the game has much more fun mechanics than World.

    Meanwhile I'm that one guy that found World/Iceborne to be my least favorite MH game in the series...Rise/SB has its own issues, but they're nowhere near as bad compared to what World/IB had for me. I'm afraid that Wilds is going to be more like World...hopefully I'm worng, if not, then, guess I'll see what Portable Team's 6th generation game will be like. (and bring back freakin' Prowler Mode dammit, lol)

    Only having 350 hours across both games tells me youre more of a casual player and theres nothing wrong with that. Monster hunter rise is easier and more complimentary to casual players due to its intended audience for nintendo switch. "Speed up combat" = monsters are easier, "MHW feels slow" cus rise is fast paced and easy, so on so fourth. You also complain of getting a bad taste in your mouth after going back to world and straight into master rank and likely getting your peach handed to you. Also I dont get your points about the maps... every map in MHW is easy to traverse for me, besides maybe the ancient forest. But you hardly need that since scoutflies take you everywhere anyways. "My least favorite part of monster hunter world is getting smacked by a monster, rolling around for 10 years, just to get up and get hit again" Soo.... skill issue? No insults or disrespect, its completely valid to want to play a game on easy mode. And monster hunter rise is, objectively, one of the best monster hunter games so far. The reason people dont like it as much as world is because world is amazing. You actually feel like a hunter. You dont get magic teleporting bugs as a crutch for every mistake you make. Monsters WILL knock you down, just as you said. Its a monster. Thats exactly what it should do. No fight in rise gave me nearly the same adrenaline rush after 30+ minutes of fighting like the end game of iceborne has. Pair that with the graphical fidelity, the amazing map designs, and every other blessing world has to offer and its by far the best monster hunter game yet. At the end of the day, as long as you enjoy the series there is no wrong answers. Edit: As a side note, I do hope Wilds returns to the slower, more "hardcore" style of hunting that world had, and considering worlds success I think it certainly will. There is rumors of the Switch 2 coming out later this year, and I hope that handheld monster hunter games stick with the more fast paced approach. That is the point of handhelds after all, fast portable game play. So there is plenty of hope for players who enjoy that too.

    i'm brand new to the MH games. Recently purchased iceborne DLC and then rise and sunbreak. I have a PS4, PS5, and top tier PC. I bought every one of these on Playstation... one thing that always stopped me from playing MH:World though is just how bad the graphics are. It's so blurry. I have excellent eyesight and it hurts my eyes. I even changed the graphics mode to prioritize resolution. Didn't really help. I DO prefer gameplay over visuals... and Im certain the game is incredible...but it hurts my eyes. Should I just break down and buy MH world on PC so that I can download this so-called texture pack? Or does anyone know of something I dont to make this better? PS: To avoid the "maybe it's your monitor" suggestions, I have a color corrected Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 32" Curved 4k 240hz monitor. Its about as good as you can get. And Im running HDMI 2.1.

    I just got the game as a noob to MH and it was on sale and got it on switch. MH Rise is super fun and not yet at the point of Sunbreak (seems I need to finish the game first). I have grown fond of the Insect Glaive and learning to prepare better and to capture is better than just slaying it (from tip videos).

    Comparing these games is a fool's errand. Always has been. The problem is that the community who started with World did not know that there are two Monster Hunter dev teams. The team that does the mainline games, and the team that does the in-between "mobile" games. See Ratatoskr's video on the subject. Rise is an in-between game. As such it is faster paced, less realistic, more arcadey, more experimental. It's where Capcom can try new stuff, and see what will stick in the next mainline release (Wilds). Wilds will take some things learned from Rise, and incorporate them. But Wilds will be a much slower, more realistic game. ----- I think Rise tried out some good ideas. I like the switch skills, though perhaps they should only be switchable at camp. Needing to switch mid-fight to achieve the best dmg is tiresome for me. The map traversal is much better in Rise. I do not feel World was as bad as you say, though. You memorize the maps pretty quickly, and with the camps and tailriders unlocked it's not hard to get anywhere fast. Regardless, we are at least getting controllable mounts in Wilds. I do not think the wirebug should have been usable for mobility in combat at all. Or if it was, its performance should reflect the weapon you're using. I did not like how the Greatsword became as mobile as the Dual Blades. I did not like how they dumbed down the hunting horn. I appreciate trying to make it more approachable as it was the least used weapon in World, but they took it ten steps too far, I think.

    • @wits_end.
      @wits_end. หลายเดือนก่อน

      Greatsword was never a slow weapon when it came to movement. Majority of the time you would have it sheathed and be running around.

    • @Andlekin
      @Andlekin หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@wits_end. Nothing is a slow weapon when it's sheathed. GS does have a short sheath animation, but in Rise you can keep it out, wirebug a kilometer around the monster, then do aerial strikes in the middle of the air with no ledge. Not just GS, but all weapons were hyper-mobile. HBG? No need for rolling, just wirebug everywhere. CB? Aerial axe hits to your heart's content, no ledge required. Tired of careful positioning with the GL? Fret not, you can just fly on your rocket-powered GL across the entire arena 3x in a row. Then weapons like the IG are made less unique because basically everyone can nearly fly now. My complaint is that it made every weapon feel the same when it came to movement mechanics. Wirebug mobility was the same across all weapons, then some weapons like the GL were even more mobile than that.

    • @wits_end.
      @wits_end. หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Andlekin @Andlekin if you actually try out the wirebug movement moves at higher level hunts you will easily see that they aren't that fast or "free" to use anytime. The monstets will get you and combo you with improper wirebug usage. GS when unsheathe has two movement wirebug moves and both have lengthy animations and endlag, most especially the aerial version. HBG has a pull towards wirebug move but most times it's way better to roll and save your bugs for other moves. CB has Axe hop but it will take time to vault yourself up and during that entire time you are vulnerable. Gunlance can launch itself but never vertically. And its very limited. IG is still king in aerial movement. It is the only one that can string together wire bug vault to another wirebug vault. No other weapon can stay in the air longer, change direction, and traverse like Insect Glaive can. All of them will have to land way sooner. Saying Insect glaive lost it's uniqueness tells me all I need to know. When Wilds comes out and the wirebug isn't going to be part of Insect Glaive, it will sorely missed.

    • @Andlekin
      @Andlekin หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@wits_end. You're talking about the specific wirebug moves with each weapon. I am talking about all of the common movement techniques no matter what weapon you are using when sheathed. For example, at literally any point with the GS, I can sheath it, hang in the air with a wirebug and do a basic aerial attack with the GS. I do not have to use the terrain to my advantage like in World. I can just literally hang in the air, whenever I want. All players are able to aerial recover, and zoom away to a different zip code for healing, if hit. I have 170hrs in the game, and got to the end of Sunbreak.

    • @wits_end.
      @wits_end. หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Andlekin Every hunter with thier weapon sheathed will have the same exact movement controls, yes. If we remove wirebug, every hunter will still has the same movement controls. *Unsheathed* is when every weapon gives the differential factor. So talking about wirebug moves *is* the *key point* of how mobile a weapon is. That's why I'm talk about wirebug moves at all. "Silkbind attacks" At the very endgame of Sunbreak (anamoly), it makes it so wirefalling won't be your saving grace. No hunter at those levels spam wirefall (especially solo) because the monster has moves that out right punishes for doing them. +700 hrs on pc. +900 hrs on switch. Both G Rank.

    "SlOw iS gO0d" "ThE JoUrEnY's mOrE imPORtAnt thAn thE DesTiNaTIon" I have more fun and enjoyment experiencing the journeys traveling Skyrim than World's labyrinthians you call maps. That beauty only exists when you can *_maintain_* the beauty in the face of a looter-slasher live service. Skyrim's world can maintain that sense of beauty a lot better than World can. I at least am able to spend a good several minutes looking around and feel "goddamn, what a view" better than having to either cut my time into an expedition in order to experience any of it or have brief, 5-second glimpses because *_im on a timer._* "But you're overcoming an insurmountable challenge" I never once saw any monster as a "Challenge" in the slightest. Never in 4U, never in Rise, and *_never_* in World during my first hours. There is only Levels of Annoyance. If i wanted insurmountable challenges, I'd pick FromSofts games than Monster Hunter in every hour. Go big, no exception.

    I'm personally a MHR fan. I tried World, and it was definitely fun, but I didn't like how long hunts took - especially later on. I really don't like the clutch claw, if I'm being completely honest. It's frustrating to get the hang of, and absolutely mandatory for G rank. As for Rise, it was my very first Monster Hunter game, and the first game I managed to conquer. I have my best sets made and I have most monster patterns memorized. I feel very accomplished and strong in Rise. Sure, I can develop that same thing in World, but I suppose the pacing is... Not a great match? Again, I hate clutch claw. As of now, Rise is my favorite of the two.
