i’m over here playing portable 3rd and now i reaally want to play Rise. This jumping bug thing and the fluent gameplay appeals just so much more to me.

Shiiii Ima be real this is the only m.h game that I've played and with no guide and just making my own build it's fun I like the risk reward slash give and take style in world once you got the fatalis set it was pretty much all I used in rise I used armor that actively ate my hp like crazy but I got a damage boost so I really had to think about my gear my palicos I used the healer with the bird just to keep myself from dying extreme power requires extreme risk 🔥🔥🔥🔥😎

When I started mhw years ago, my favorite thing was being chased by big fire chicken (anjanath). Best immersion feeling I’ve felt. I’m not the best at it but I love spending hours helping other hunters and just exploring the biomes

Rise has the best movement of any MH game

Seriously? Havent seen the video but i can answer that.. 1. You are not a veteran of the series. 2. You dont like the stuns. 3. You dont like the hunting prep and trace hunting in world. 4. You like the faster pace in Rise ie never get stunned and jump around like a clown. 5. You dont like hunts that take 30 minutes. And one from me: you are a scrub. Go play gow or something...

Both are great games in their own rights. I prefer rise but that is because its gameplay more resembles that of mh4u and generations (4u is my favorite in the series). This seems to also be a trend amongst other veterens of the series. World did fantastic at opening the series to so many new people, but widh they could appreciate that monster hunter is an odd series that likes to fantastical just as much as realistic. We have talking pun making cats for crying out loud, the realism got chucked out the window and used realistic physics to do it

Worlds is was it said it is a world in which monster Hunter lives very cool spent over $500 on it but ultimately the gameplay is just a little outdated right now. Monster Hunter rise is a little artsy DLC more focused on combat and flow of gameplay.

As a veteran of the series, it’s weird to see people calling world and rise to complicated. It’s been dumbed down so much from the earlier titles and comparatively the two newest titles feel very accessible.

As much as I love MH series, Mh world is my least favorite, I think it has too little monsters and too many elder dragons, it doesn't give me the vibe like MH3rd portable or mh rise, I love the came back to the roots in Rise Something isn't right for me in MHW 🫣

For me who played both MHW world is kinda slow and wonky and for somone who has ADHD this is a torture lol.

Rise is miles better than world. I love both, but to me rise is better than world.

I've just gotten back into Rise, and can say confidently that this game is a little underrated. A lot of MH fans gave it some shit when it came out, but at the end of the day it's a great game by itself. It isn't better than World. It's trying to do something different entirely with the MH formula, kinda like Frontier. I appreciate it for that, and also appreciate World for expanding on the mainline series. Tl;dr both great for diff reasons

Anything but MH1. I still have nightmares about that game. That game is always a 1 v 2, you, the monster, and the hit boxes.

World = 👍, Iceborne = 👎 Rise = 👎, Sunbreak = 👍 This is why I play Sunbreak.

For me, I played MH since generation. But I like the hard part in the MHW. Im enjoying it with my friends when we need to ran from a monster hiding. We are laughing hard. Planning to kill that dragon ..somebody will need to be the tank the damager the buffer. I feel in world it is my game. But also I love the old school fight of MHrise

So let get this straight just admit your a rise baby… it’s really not that hard plus saying everything is a double edged sword is a cope out and a blatant excuse to justify your own bais and short comings… Most of what you said is personal preference but at it’s core that’s a you issue… the map can be filled in world you do know that… rise over simplification ultimately was a step back… And as far as the combat between the two games you air on the easier game with more player power instead of worlds system and in the end that’s truly a skill issue… you just can’t get accustomed and accommodated to the slower and more grounded play in world… That’s a fault of the player for not putting in the time and effort enough to adapt and understand the flow of combat instead of running around like a goon and trying to pass it off as a fault of the game… Rise is the easier game because of its mechanics sense it places more power in the players hands compared to world that’s just a fact and it’s due to that you prefer having that control with all the mobility and wirebug abilities like counters and the get out of jail free cards… World requires more patience and player skill so it has the higher skill ceiling between the two but is infinitely more rewarding then rise will ever be sense you don’t have wire fall or heavy counter play with wirebugs… And the whole traverse argument is completely pointless cause the maps in both games where designed around completely different mechanics… rises maps were DESIGNED around the wirebug how is that not apparent… All of this is basically just s 9 minute vent session to basically sum up your just not good at adapting to certain mechanics and gameplay decisions that cater to your preferences and that’s ok but making excuses to say it’s better then world is heavily bais and unfair… World will always be the better game as far as longevity and impact… rise wouldn’t even be as it is without the success and framework world layed out sense they literally had to redesign the game with world like mechanics which is kinda ironic… But hey in the end scrubs will be scrubs just be honest you like the game that holds your hand more in the end on the inferior system 😕

Honestly it shouldnt be a competition much like how you find a weapon that works for you, find the Monster Hunter game thats right for you. There’s pro’s and cons to each but at the end of the day they’re all solid games

You earned my sub. I am so glad that you pointed out the visual clutter! This, plus the lack of wirebugs make it so hard for me to play World. Actually before rise, I stopped playing world because of the visual clutter. I played world for about 170h and rise for about 700h so yeah.

Rise has better armor skills

the only reason i play rise over worlds is the fact that rise/sunbreak monster actually do bleed RED BLOOD. in worlds they bleed ROCKS AND DUST and all weapon impacts sounds blunt weapon. a very deal breaker for me. yeah graphics is all good and shit but bro ? dust and rocks for blood effects? i call bullshit capcom

Very relatable video, I just finished the base game and about to finish the AWE expansion and it feels very good and I enjoyed the dlc a lot more than the base game. It has variety now and the light/dark gameplay sections breakup the monotonous gunplay. The story is also very enjoyable imo, no talking with NPCs. Good map design. Also the puzzles in base game were nonsense but here I liked them much more. Hopefully Foundation dlc is just as good if not more.

I like Rise because of the pace. There is no bs just jump in and hunt. Also Valstrax.

I must admit the games are alr but as someone who played the version on wii for hrs on end and the spooky factor was fun and it was simple it was fun the newer games feels like there is to much going on at once

When i got back into monster hunter i choose rise because it was the newest entry and for some time i loved the hell out of it i mean i put 341 hours into it and well it was alot of fun but when I hit world idk man something about its more realistic take got me hooked that i got 500 hours and i still always come back to world over rise honestly no matter what game its always fun to play this series next one for me is to play generations ultimate and come back to 4 ultimate where it all began for me

On that part of 'menagerie of menu system', I recently hopped back to monster hunter with mt friend, after the year long hiatus, what i did was blindly go through each hunt without any preparation, and what i got whas each hunt being terribly daunting especially my friend didn't had that much play time either, and i was just playing with my instincts, and now im here watching MH videos again lol, watching lengthy videos explaining weapons, the mh experience, and so on haha, just yesterday, my friend got the 'Monster Hunter moment' and asked me to buy subreak lol despite saying he wasnt interested in this series again before the hiatus

I love the fact that the other side of the spectrum has a better view to like ratio. I love Rise too but the monsters just feel worse to fight. Still love it though and I'm glad people prefer it, its what makes the community beautiful. Edit: I think the people who like Rise more because its watered down comparatively. Not shade towards anybody, if anything it helps new and not as die-hard players get into the game.

I play rise and world both are great games. Still prefer generation ultimate tho since im a fan of the oldschool gameplay
