Thank you so much for this documentary! It makes me so happy to see that kids today have support systems. We didn't have them when/where I grew up in the 90s. I remember getting weird looks when I was around 10. People would often ask if I was a boy or a girl, and at first I explained that I was a boy on the outside and a girl on the inside. That got shut down real quick, and here I am at 45, finally accepting what society beat and squeezed out of me for so many years. I'm so happy you have each other! 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻

As someone who has listened various genres of punk and metal this is absolutely horrible. The new York dolls dressed like women but at least they made music with rhythm and something you can jam along to. This sounds like a band that creates random noise to be noticed because of their movement.

    • @AHJtheband

@@AHJtheband I've listened to countless hardcore bands, punk bands, pretty much have studied the various subgenres of rock/blues but with each genre there are multiple bands that absolutely are garbage. You and your band need inspiration instead of using a movement that was created by the elites to confuse the mass pop even more. I can't call y'all musicians because that would mean you have talent at least dead Kennedys had songwriting an timing and doing it DYI same goes for most hardcore bands of the 80s.

I'm a millennial who came out as trans in 2004 and has been into punk rock since 1999. This is absolutely beautiful and it's amazing to get such a sense of unity and purpose in an underground scene, speaking as someone who always felt isolated and out of place even in punk scenes. You all rule, you are the future.

Just found this video. I'm a transmasc queer 21 y/o living In Indiana. I would call myself punk but I don't feel confident enough with my presentation to call myself that. Most days it feels so hopeless living here. There's really no gay scene and Ive seen almost no punks while living here. This video really gives me hope, and I'm so glad I found it. I hope I'll be able to find my place one day. It really does feel super lonely. Okay sorry for dumping so much info in the comments! This is the only place I can really talk about my experience😅

Hell FUCKING yeah!! As a Gen Xer punk and enby queer, you kids are ALL RIGHT! This is why I got into punk, just cool people letting people be and have fun. Much love from something of an elder, you all keep on being you and being cool. I'm so happy to see the next generation come into their own and keep moving forward and upward.

Im non binary Im gender fluid? These terms never existed when my trans life was around. Little do people know I was the one who started the male, female or trans identifiation box on documents back in the days with the CDC, now its a full blown mish mosh of definitions.

Trans punk from the UK here, it's really heartwarming to see trans punks in the US continuing to build solidarity and community in the face of increasing oppression. There's a relatively small queer community in my town but this doc has helped me realise how important it is for us to keep this community alive and well. I'm trans punk from China and I have a very tightly knit friend group of other trans and queer kids (in an environment that's so overwhelmingly queerphobic, I've had a teacher literally say the t-slur to my face). We do our best to keep each other alive and they mean the world to me. Thank you so much for this documentary.
