It's the Honda tractors that interest me as I picked up 2 38/13s in the past year and made one fully functional- both for under $500 not including full tune-ups, oil and transaxle service, and extended life coolant. Those things are fascinating because they are so over engineered and overbuilt.

@@theamerican7080 Yes! They are an engineering marvel! They don't sound like a mower at all! And they work great for pulling things like yard trailers or lawn sweepers, because of gear drive and direct driveshaft to the rear instead of a belt. I got 3 of them at one place, for $100 each. They all run now.

The way I did it is probably not the typical way. I think most people put the pressure on the lever with the bleed screw in, hold the lever with a clamp or another person, then just crack the bleeder till fluid comes out, then close it and then release lever. Rinse and repeat till it feels good

@@wisconsinsmallenginenut I didnt take the jet out so its the nozzle above. Bought an ultrasonic cleaner/easy outs to get the old 0.92mm jet out. I was told thats lean & these came with up to 1.10mm jets in snowblowers and 1.05mm jets with air filter applications. So I got 99101-zh8-1000 100 jet or 1.00mm

To keep it less lean. Wont start without choke until 1.05mm jet supposedly.

Haha, you are setting me up for failure with that one. I do have to do it to my 4514 which is probably similar. I added oil to it and now it moves but it’s choppy at certain speeds. I think it needs bleeding

Yeah I would test the pump by turning engine over with fuel line to carb disconnected. Catch it in a container. Gas should come out steady. If it does, carb related.

@@wisconsinsmallenginenut I’m going to order the aftermarket pump and carb (less than $50). This has old style pump that could leak on exhaust. The bottom screw for carb bowl is corroded. There is a small fuel return line (?) going to bottom of carb, likely plugged. Thinking the carb is vapor locked and won’t fill. Other more major, but hopefully easy fix is broken bolt hole on intake, to secure throttle cable plate. The casting broke so plate can wobble back and forth, throwing everything off. Thanks for replying!

I bought a 3011 today, it needs some work for sure but I hope I can get another 20 years out of it.

Well it does similar things as a bagger. But you don’t use a bagger to dethatch your lawn or pick up branches and other lawn debris. Leaves could be done with a bagger

Looks like the 130 might not be made anymore. Anyway, that’s an easy one. The 130 does not allow you to put the battery in the upper motor area like the 135. It’s designed to wear the battery on your belt on a pouch, then you run a cord to the unit. In my opinion, there’s times where the cord would grab tall grass or branches if using the pruner head. If you get the 135, you can run a dummy battery on the unit that Stihl sells, and then you can get the battery pouch just like the 130. To me, the 135 is best of both worlds that way. The 130 is essentially a corded model running off the battery. 135 is truly cordless

I not know about the KMA130. I have used mine FSA135 in bicycle handle configuration for about 3 years beyond manufacturing recommendations and with all kind blades never have any problem. The weed line I may use it 20 minutes in one all year, very much mine I use it to cut and clear in forests heavy brush and tall grass. I am 100% happy with my FSA135 performance, wish I can say the same about the batteries, I have 4 AP500S batteries and 4 AP300S and I go one battery after another no problem with this machine. Battery technology still light years away for professional use. With AP300S something around 30 to 40 minutes.

It’s not easy to be turning it over and spraying at the same time. Some engines are impossible to do that alone when the intake is a long distance from the starting method
