the original shot load was 11/8 oz. and you changed the total payload to just under 3/4 oz. and I didn't see you reduce the powder charge in that load! wouldn't that make that load a little too hot???

I have the panzer AK 12 is the red dot worth it or should I just stick with the laser? The panzer I would have to get a side mount.

Great simple method, is the new buckshot payload the same weight as the birdshot? Also, have you used buffer?

One of the best things for any shotgun is to install an oversized safety. There are three options that I know. The Elite Tactical Advantage is a triangular shaped safety it rises above the tang and is larger than the plastic OEM safety. This is the safety that I installed on my 590SP. I installed the ETA safety si the single point if the triangle is oriented forward. Another is made by S&J Hardware of Ontario, Canada. This safety is a diamond shape. Lastly is the Hahn Engineering safety. Has a unique shape that is wider than the othe safeties. An oversized safety gives you more options to work the safety. Easier to work if you have traumatic injuries.

I have Two P17's which I purchased two years ago and I have over 1000 rounds in each without any type of failures, using CCI Mini Mags, Argilo and Remington Golden Bullets! Having said this, I recently purchased 1000 rounds of Winchester Xpert 22 LR, 42 GR, plated Hollow Point, 1320 FPS. Seemed like a great deal for only .09 Cents per Round. Yes, for the first time I was getting many FTE with these bullets in both of my P17's and the casings would get stuck in the chamber and I had to use a rod to push them out! I will only use these Rounds at the range but it is very annoying! I do carry my P17 as my EDC every day. either in a pocket holster or in an outside the waist leather holster. I will only use 40 Grain CCI Mini Mags for my Carry gun because I have had NO Failures with this ammo! Good Luck!

I have a Maverick 88 shotgun, it's a great weapon, it's flawless and I love it, but the million dollar question is: Can these shotgun stops a Grizzly bear?? I live in Alaska, bear territory, I go very often to the woods, I go for camping, fishing, hiking and hunting, and every time I'm in the woods I load my Maverick 88 shotgun with slugs; I just want to make sure it'd stop a grizzly bear, if some of the readers can answer my question, I'll appreciate it. How’s the heat shield holding up?

If you have the high velocity buffer piece in it, you need high velocity shells. I found that out the hard way, cuz I got mine from my favorite pawn shop, The Silver Dollar, in roswell, and it didn't come with it, didn't find out until I tried it at a range and the guy behind the counter diagnosed why it was jamming.

Do you like the steel guide rod? Was thinking of getting one.
