1974 Chevrolet Corvette C3 Custom
The 1974 Chevrolet Corvette marked a transitional year for the iconic sports car, featuring significant changes due to regulatory and market shifts. This year was the first for the all-plastic body-colored bumpers, replacing the chrome bumpers, with a two-piece rear bumper design that showed a seam. It was also the final year for the big-block 454 cubic inch V8 engine, delivering 270 horsepower. Additionally, this was the last model to feature true dual exhausts before emissions regulations mandated changes.
The standard engine was a 350 cubic inch V8, available in two configurations: the base model with 195 horsepower and an optional L82 version producing 250 horsepower. Buyers could choose between a wide-ratio four-speed manual or a Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The 1974 Corvette was also noted for offering the Gymkhana Suspension package, enhancing its handling capabilities.
In terms of production, 37,502 units were built, with 32,028 being coupes and 5,474 convertibles. The base price for a coupe was $6,001.50, while the convertible started at $5,765.50. The year was notable for a solid sales performance, reflecting the car's popularity despite the challenging automotive climate of the early 1970s

I had a 74. 4 cylinder, 4 speed. I couldn't kill it. Lord knows I tried !!! Army green and I added black stripes to make it go faster and it had 8 track...😊

I was curious to how these Lloyd floor mats fit. On my 79 Vette the rear of the floor boards are straight across. I noticed the Lloyds mats are curved in the rear. Do you find that it affects the fit? Thanks.

i think that.... The first-generation Camaro offered hideaway headlights as part of the Rally Sport (RS) package, which was available for the 1967, 1968, and 1969 models. This RS package could be added to any trim level, including the SS (Super Sport). Therefore, if you see a first-generation Camaro SS with hideaway headlights, it also includes the RS package

3/8-inch drive ratchet and sockets: Common sizes used in most automotive repairs. Metric sockets: The Camaro may have metric fasteners, so a set including 10mm, 13mm, 14mm, and 15mm sockets will be useful. SAE sockets: Since it's a car from the 1980s, it may also have standard (SAE) fasteners. Sizes like 3/8-inch, 7/16-inch, 1/2-inch, and 9/16-inch should be considered.
