A SWEETER Sour || Limoncello Whiskey Sour Cocktail Recipe
Let me show you how to make a softer, sweeter version of a classic whiskey sour: a Limoncello Whiskey Sour!
This is also a great recipe if you want to try out a whiskey sour without an egg white!
Limoncello Whiskey Sour recipe:
45ml Irish Whiskey
30ml Limoncello
15ml Lemon Juice
1 Dash Rhubarb Bitters
1 Dash Orange Bitters
Shake with ice, strain onto a rock of ice and top up with a splash of soda water

I'm always on the hunt for the best whiskey and love making whiskey review videos. My passion is for Irish whiskey, but I'm open to looking for the best Bourbon or the best scotch too!
I'm an Irishman, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying whiskeys from all around the world, from Kentucky bourbon to Japanese single malts. I also love making cocktails, especially whiskey cocktails (or whisky cocktails) and really enjoy taking a classic recipe and adding my own twist to it, or making simple, 3 ingredient cocktails

Dublin Born Whiskey! || Roe & Co Solera Single Malt

Dublin born whiskey! Thanks to Roe & Co Irish whiskey for sending me this bottle as a Christmas present, as I was looking forward to trying out their new Roe and Co Solera Single Malt release, but this is a completely independent review. It's kind of like an improved version of a boilermaker, but a little more cohesive and very enjoyable, so let's get ...

Boom I'm trying this! Not with the same whisky and stout as I can't find them but Guinness and maybe a Teeling Small Batch. Oh by the way in my recent travels at duty free I found two of the Two Stacks canned whiskies, The Single Malt Double Barrel & Irish Whiskey. They look so much fun so I popped them into the freezer and looking forward to trying them 😃

Sometimes whiskeys do hit a hit different in bars and at home. And since this was until recently a batched product (the new 'round' bottles aren't batched) there was a bit of variance in the original releases. I saw they've also got a peated version of this, which I've yet to try, but if you like smoke, it might be one to look out for!

It's a Flight Fight! What a difference a finishing cask makes. It's official that the port-finished Dingle seems to be your preferred to-date tipple. They all sound delicious, with the rum-finished option sounding good, providing the sugariness one would associate with an aged rum. I enjoy how you offer the story behind each bottle's name and a bit of history for each, and most importantly, the Gaelic name for each bottle (and the way the names just roll off your tongue). It's like your Irish or something. Nonetheless, it's the new kid on the block which takes home the chicken dinner! Unfortunately, I've not seen any of these options in the States, so I may be relegated to hunting online for a bottle. Not that this is a bad thing. Thanks for this video - I'm sure it was quite an enjoyable one to make. Cheers!

That's something I love about this series, everyone seems to have a different ranking!

Have you tried any whiskeys from Dingle?

I've been tempted to pick up a bottle here in US but the prices are just too high to take a punt on this series. I'm curious about a core range single pot still release tho! That sounds exciting.

Not yet, but as it happens I received six 30ml samples of different Dingle whiskies in the post today. Doing dry January so I'll have to wait another bit to crack them open. I also got a bottle of Redbreast 18 in the same delivery, and I can't say I wasn't tempted to crack her open.

@Stephen_Curtin now that's the kind of delivery that would put a smile on anyone's face! Stay strong for January!

@@joekeightley2287 ah, hopefully they decrease in price, or that you can get some samples of the set! And yeah, the Single Malt is really good quality and value, so I have high hopes for the core single pot still!

Ah, if only it was a bit cheaper here in Ireland, but at the US price, definitely great value

finally came across this tonight at the liquor store..thought it was brand new..didn't know it had been a travel whiskey for years..very smooth, but a little to sherry sweet for me

That's a shame, hopefully it softens up after a few pours, or if it doesn't, you can find a cocktail like a whiskey sour where you can put it to good use!

It's just becoming available in the states. Grabbed two bottles in Minneapolis. Going for $59/bottle here. Scored a 93 by Whisky Advocate.

Yeah, of the three releases, this was probably the best, so I'm glad you were able to find it!

Thanks for your review. Kinda perfect for this product that you're from here and there. For Other People: I'm no good at discerning tasting notes, but (having sipped off a bottle this last day off-and-on with a, "2XO," American Bourbon barrel double-oaked), the, "Irish and Bourbon," is heavier bodied (?), spicier, less sweet. Among the haul from Morelli's Tedesco (incl. Russell's 10 & barrel strength, Woody Creek Rye, Clyde Mays Rye, JB blk 7yr & the 2XO), by comparison, I'm disappointed in the others. Would I rather I'd bought seven of the Keeper's Heart? Dunno. I don't care for sweet or wheated, and I sip so little at a time I prefer flavors from more expensive bottles (just can't buy them).... This combo sort'a gets closer.... It's not a thirteen year high-rye Bourbon, but deff more interesting than any four year bourbon, or even Russell's B-Strength Bourbon.

Thanks for your thoughts! A shame the others were a bit disappointing, but let's hope 2025 brings more great whiskey!
