What’s up guy and gals? Just a quick little shore trip to Lake Erie. The plan was to jig for walleye but they just didn’t want to eat. So I switched it up to a Big Joshy swim bait and let’s go! Lead head when the waters low. Floaters when it’s up.

15lb braid with a 10lb leader when it’s not freezing. And if it is freezing just 10-12lb mono. Fish on man! Looking forward to seeing everyone on the river!

2.75” big joshy and the 1/8 oz jig head that comes with them.
I never go for walleye unless I can set up somewhere where the wind is coming over my back, this way the fish are coming towards you. West is best and East is least 😅

I live about 1/2 an hour away from this spot. I've fished closer to the Islands and had huge success. Now Im going to have to put in my little boat and hit this one. Thanks for taking the time to make and post this video.

I absolutely killed it this year on the Sandusky. 70+ white bass and 24 walleye. Couple weekends ago i was out on the Sandusky and i was catching more walleye than whitebass

I loved it. I don’t have the same fish finder anymore but I am planning on ordering from them again for my new Garmin! When they first opened the plastic wasn’t as good. The one in this video broke. But they replaced it for free with a better plastic one. And no issues yet!

@JNJfishing It was back before everybody had a camera in their pocket. It was probably thirty years ago. It's a true story. The warden even acted like he didn't want to bust me. He was probably just filling his cooler for their annual fish fry. Hahaha!

@jeffk7399 no,the game wardens were "snacking" on snagged fish. Hahaha! I have no reason to lie, and I wasn't breaking any laws. I'm guessing you are or you are related to a game warden.

Last Wednesday, out of Roger Young Park, I got a limit. Pink and purple 4" and fire tiger did the trick. Ended up snaging one, which sucked because it was a really good-sized wally but had to let that one go

What size lead heads you using or are you using floating
@@countryboy6845 when the water is high like it was today I use floating. But normally I just use 1/8-1/4 lead.

There's only two color twister tails I was using when I fished the river motor oil and chartreuse
Both are good.
In the situation of those two colors when would you use either one

I take the 16-20 inchers home. But I have plenty at home. I didn’t keep any today. I gave a few away. This one was snagged. She had to go back!
@@jnjfishing493 yup I hear ya! At Indian Lake years ago I was using grubbs and another few party of people of color was using jerk baits, crossing are lines , snagging, limit out. Then clear the stringer and get catch more. They was there for 3 days on a cold November weekend. I was pretty ticked off
I'll only bag them if they are closer to 20inches.
@@traveler7353 Yup , I been spillways where the fish are long but skinny. So I don't keep them. Then I see people keep everything they catch but they don't know better due they can't read or speak English

I fished the Sandusky today in the woods near Rodger Young. Got 4 walleyes. Purple and pink did the trick.

what brand of line are you using? and what test is it?
Usually 15lb power pro braid. But if it’s cold out ( 32 or below ) I run sunline 16lb mono. It has the diameter of 10lb mono and doesn’t freeze up as bad.
