I don't blame you for homeschooling kids. I went to public school back in the mid-60's. On average, there were about 40 kids in a class. Whereas back in the 60's, the Catholic schools had about 50 or more kids in a class. I had emotional problems and I ended up going to special education school, and it was simply for the best. The classes were much smaller and the teachers give you more individualized attention. Just like today, both public and Catholic school teachers simply don't have the time to deal with special needs students. Plus, they didn't have special education classes in the public schools back in the 60's either. (My school days were back in the 60's and 70's.) By homeschooling your kids, you can take all the time you need to teach the lessons instead of teaching them in 45-minute increments. Funny that you mentioned travel. You can at any time that you want to instead of relying on the school calendar. Most schools don't allow family vacations during the school year because of each state's mandatory school attendance laws. Plus if your child is sick, you can take them to the doctor without having to bring in a doctor's note. And if you're child has serious medical issues, you can just simply take them out of school and homeschool them right there. And the same thing goes if you have family issues, or even a family emergency as well. You also don't have to worry about having a truant officer show up at your door Talk about family vacations during the school year: back in April of 2015, right here in the Philadelphia area, there was a guy who took his two kids out of school because he was running in the Boston Marathon, and they were up there for five days. Then all of a sudden, he gets a letter from the school's principal saying that this was an unexcused absence, and that it violated the state's mandatory school attendance laws as well. Family vacations during the school year are unexcused absences in his school district. Well anyway, he wrote a letter to school's principal defending his actions. He said that his kids learned more in the five days that they were up there in Boston instead of sitting inside of a classroom. And that he would do it again. Good luck to you in your homeschooling.

My wife (Chinese local) and I have also been itching to move back to the US, I moved here in 2018 (Chengdu) but as of lately my wife and I would like to return to the US and start the next chapter. How do you guys feel moving back? Do you ever regret it or miss anything about China? It's a tough decision for sure to decide which country is best

作为一名土生土长的中国人，我不明白为什么你们要从福利健全的发达国家移民到中国，在中国有高考制度的不公平，医疗制度的不公平，医院里如果没钱是无法进行治疗的，患者只能回家等死。户口制度的不公平，低工资，你可以看看其他小城市的教育条件是多么的落后，农村老人的养老金政府每个月只给200人民币！医疗保障更是非常的可笑
