Fighting games are jsut bad games, plain and simple, they have way too much input complexity, not enough fun factor. There are many great alternatives to fighting games though *wink* *wink*

if party fighters can count there are some arena fighters that are easier to pick up and play that you might enjoy.

I love Cstlevania SOTN . I played it years ago. I still have my memory card save with 200.4 % map coverage. There is 1 tiny block in the upside down castle under water that I can't get to.

Like I said before, TH-cam is like Pro Wrestling. You have your weekly shows which are mostly filler that build up to the PPV where the big matches are on. Even the card on weekly shows have filler matches like the "mid card" where the combatants have to get their matches done quick and are actually punished for doing too many fancy moves/spots because they are taking attention away from the main event so they deliberately tone down their matches to make the main event seem more of a spectacle by comparison. My Games I Got For Free On PC series is exactly the sort of content you're talking about, it's all purely filler content that I do because it's easy to do. Some of the videos are better than others though, some are just really boring, not gonna lie. I'm not always 100% either but whenever there is something good, I can make a short out of it so it's not so bad. Also like I said before in my truth about youtube video "One man's trash is another man's treasure" so by exploring other methods that you put less effort in, you could find some unexpected success from it.

I feel with TH-cam for me, a lot of it was trying to prove to myself that I could do it. Did I make a huge success from it? No but do I feel like I have proven myself to be able to make quality content? Absolutely. But yeah everything is about marketing and manipulating now. It's so annoying. This goes beyond TH-cam, this is everything. There's a reason why I made a wrestling universe mode with TH-cam Content Creators in it because TH-cam is literally pro wrestling without the wrestling, every video is a promo, drama everywhere, loads of crazy bullshit to hook people. The problem is, TH-cam is real and people tend to forget that the person talking in the video is a human being. Though I think most people simply don't care. Problem is that making videos for TH-cam is the only way to get your foot in the door. From a business standpoint, you're thinking backwards. Drawing people in with clickbait first is essential, they you do the videos for you after... That's the theory at least, what I will say though is that making videos for you, while it can make you happy, it will be a constant struggle to grow. So you kinda need to find a balance really. Unless you're like me and have given up trying, in which case, welcome to the TH-cam Underground, don't work yourself too hard because you aren't getting paid and nobody is going to care anyway. The latter is my approach to TH-cam now, just fannying about to give myself an excuse to play videogames I wouldn't normally play. It's come to the point that TH-cam had become the main hub of my gaming life, I game specifically for TH-cam, they are bound together now.

At a point after watching a lot of those those videos you start to see how fake and for production and number of views a great deal of them are. Life is never stagnant. We all change. It was inevitable that TH-cam would change. Those early TH-cam days will never come back. However if you recognize what it has become. It enables you to see through a lot of it and focus on why you enjoyed TH-cam to begin with. Great video. I love you just playing a game while discussing what is on your mind. I have very little experience with classic Bomberman. I always thought they were more multiplayer games so I never really gave them a shot.

these random vlogs have been fun to listen to. when it comes to pick up videos i think they can be fun but the problem is most people dont know how to make them interesting. like most people will just show off the stuff without saying much and you can tell they dont care about it unless its rare or valuable or if they do talk about the game they just read off a wiki page. but i think people like Tylord do a good job telling you a story about whatever it is and what he likes about the movie/game and its fun to listen to. and same goes for collection videos where i like them but many just dont show a personality and brain did a good job with his recent NES collection. we need more like them lol

Someone once asked me if I was into mechs, and my response was “no, not really” But after thinking about it for a while, I am absolutely obsessed with them! I think I immediately put “mechs” into the anime category without taking into account video games, and after the realization that I essentially started my steam account because of mech games, is what hit me like a ton of bricks to the face. Plus I think it’s the one thing I’m always checking to see if any new action mech games have been announced (I don’t do turn based anything anymore) There’s this one game called Armored cavalry operation valkyrie (spelled as varkiri on steam, so hardly anyone knows about it) and although it’s damn near impossible, it’s a lot of fun!

2D fighters especially are the worst for me but yeah I suck at fighting games too. Low effort seems to be the way to go on TH-cam now. Why bother putting in any work when it doesn't get reciprocated? My channel is taking a similar direction now, moreorless given up on trying to stick to a format/formula to try and get views, not only does that make me more exhausted but I just want to upload trash content because I feel like it. I think you in particular will enjoy the changes I'm making to my channel but I know that some people won't. Playing the TH-cam Game just isn't fun, there's no joy in trying to force yourself to do things a certain way or follow a formula that you don't want to follow. I think TH-cam is more fun when you're being more spontaneous with your content and less focused on trying to stick to a formula. I think there's some value in having discourse over just playing videogames, that's what I ddi with Ridge Racer 5 and I realized "hang on, I can cut this into 3 separate videos and hone in on the topics. In an ideal world, I'd say that I only collect the games I'm really passionate about but the thing is, I still own a lot of garbage in my physical collection but it's too much of a hassle to sell them.

Samsho is awesome!! Lately I've started to grow out of watching highly edited and scripted videos, they aren't bad but I think nowadays I just prefer almost that same style that you refer to where it's much less edited and more about the person. Because that's what I came here for in the first place, the people just being themselves. Sometimes it feels like highly edited content feel like it's made for people who just want to get to the point rather than be at the moment or you have the opposite which is long edited videos feel like they take too much time to get to the point. It's all in the balance! With regards to collecting in just out, once in couple of years I'm getting something but not much, I tend to emulate more and playing that, most games I beat through emulation I don't go back to but my most favorites I do want to replay so I'm writing it down in a list of games I'd like to get in the future.

The samurai shodown games are fun. i played most of the old games with the Neo Geo versions. its really the 360 onward that i never played but the newest one does look good but i never seen it cheap enough to pick up. never played them on genesis but i have played the first game on SNES and its a decent version but does have some sound effect problems. my favorite characters are Ukyo, Charlot, shiki and Genjuro that is one thing i do like about youtube's recent recommendations where you start to see random small channels get mentioned every now and again which is nice. i also found a channel similair to the one you mentioned recently where it was very old school style video and there is no gameplay just a guy talking in front of a camera, it was kinda nice and refreshing

I play Air Raider by myself. Only thing about him is he needs to know the mission phases well and plan accordingly. You don't want to be unprepared for a wave and have a vital vehicle or air support still on cool down. If you can master that he's really fun. Btw just wanted to add that it's important to keep your teammates alive and healthy. Most people dont care whether they live or die, but if they die, the enemy has nobody else to aggro on except for you, which is a big problem. I always pick up health to heal them and switch to my primary weapon when they are too close for explosives. Sometimes you might want to kill their team leaders and take charge of the team, because sometimes they're better off with you than with them. When faced with aerial enemies, hide in any little gap you can find, between buildings, in stairwells, etc.

Glad you are taking good care of the NES. Oh man, I like Bayou Billy but it is not great. I just have fondness for it because I had it as a kid. The Famicom version Mad City is much easier and more fun. Try that out if you want.

Zelda 1 is not for everyone, but if it gets its hooks into you it an experience that is still fun today. I am glad you ended up enjoying it.
