I have to try that chopper! What a time saver, and it saves money over time, so you don't have to spend extra money on the pre-chopped veggies. I have to try to make this veggie bowl! Where do you get your mason jars?
The chopper saves me sooo much time!! I was chopping and dicing everything! To your point though, yes, if you tend to go pre-chopped you’ll end up saving in the end! I hope you do try it! I use 32 oz mason jars for these bowls! Your comment prompted me to link the jars to the description. Thank you for adding to the convo! Let me know if you end up trying it!

Buying all of the groceries is a bit challenging . So a defined list and no waste
👋🏾 Hi Tammy! I completely understand not wanting to waste food, especially with rising grocery costs. That’s why I always start by looking at what I already have on hand when creating my meal plan for the week. From there, I only add the remaining ingredients I need to my shopping list. This way, everything I prepare gets eaten, and there’s little to no food waste. Before I started meal prepping like this, I’d often buy food with good intentions but never get around to preparing it (especially produce) and it would end up going to waste. Changing my approach has made such a big difference! I really appreciate your comment. To make things more helpful, I’ll include exact ingredient amounts in future videos. Thanks so much for sharing your feedback!

This is my biggest issue… I don’t cook (need to learn) but I go to get a rotisserie chicken from Publix and I juice daily. But the downside of that is when I’m busy I can get fast food which if I do it more than 2x’s I check myself!
Not too late to learn! You might be surprised how fast you learn. I’m certainly no chef. I let the flavors of herbs, spices & whole foods do the heavy lifting😁

I try to pay close attention to my labs.
I’m happy to hear that! I know many people are nervous or fearful of having their labs done. Not just due to the process of a lab draw, but because they’re worried about what the results will show. It’s just so much better to know. Especially in this case where lifestyle changes can make a big impact from where you are now to where you can be in a month or two from now.

Tell the government to get rid of enriched flour. Every is made out of it and it’s almost toxic. They came out with it so we die before we reach retirement age. Research it.
There is a lot that needs to change from a health policy, food industry, healthcare perspective etc. I also talk about this in my content. With that, I ALSO try to empower myself and others to make the best choices we can to improve our health! Many of us can be moving our bodies more, making healthier food choices, prioritizing sleep etc. These things make a difference in our health outcomes. Thank you for engaging in the conversation.
I don't know why that would be so surprising. You don't have Healthcare there so of course everything's going to fester for years when you don't see a doctor cuz you can't afford it. And if you go to a community hospital they don't do anything for you anyways
This issue is certainly multi-factorial! At the same time, we as individuals must try to do our best to improve our own health behaviors. There is not just one answer to this problem. With that, we can absolutely do the best we can on an individual level to improve our health. I appreciate you for adding to the discussion. Best to you.

“Insulin sensitivity” the the cells in the body rejecting carbs due to the damage they cause within the cell. It’s not the insulin that’s the problem, it’s the excessive sugars. Strength training uses these sugars so they don’t build up as much.

They call it your “why”. This is mine. Loosing my loved ones too soon before their time was heartbreaking enough. The realization that their chronic conditions were due to preventable causes made it so much worse to me. This is what lead me down this path of better health. I started looking at exercise, nutrition and weight loss through an entirely different lens. It wasn’t about a number on a scale, fitting into a bikini or getting skinny. It was truly about being healthy for the sake of being healthy. That lead me to dive deeper into studying what that actually meant! Interestingly enough, I did not get all the information I know now in nursing school or in nurse practitioner school. Navigating conflicting health information, identifying the many shortcomings of our healthcare system, battling a society that’s not currently in line with optimal health, uncovering the agenda of big ph@rma and big food industries was all an awakening experience to say the least. In the end, I’m choosing to make the “hard” but healthier changes for me & my family. This journey has made me a better mother and a better healthcare provider. In this space I’m sharing what I’ve learned to hopefully inspire others to live healthier as well. I bet many of you have your own “why”. Even still, this journey doesn’t come easy.
