Oh Benny. Just sending love and huge hugs. I've just been through the same with my sweet girl. Last week. She came to me as a rescue... just before Chrustmas 16 years ago... and I had to make the same decision while at the vets.. My heart is hurting so terribly for all the reasons you yourself have said... I will always remember her, as you will Precious. She knows how much you loved her. Run free sweet girls. 🌈 🐕 🐈

This book is EVERYTHING. I also bought the audible version. I listen in the morning and read over that part at night. This is the only book on beginner tarot that resonates and sinks in with me. Lisa is a genius. ❤🎉 Loving this series, Benny. Keep up the good work. 😊

I meannnnn the work of it was precious.. but man there is nothing I love more than seeing a beat up copy of a book I wrote!!! lol So I do hope someone out there just batters their copy good and proper. LOL Some of my favourite books really show their wear... but then I love that about decks too - when they start showing wear!

What a lovely conversation for any tarot lover, especially those of us who are just getting our tarot footing. Thanks to both of you!

I'm a Swedish, neurodivergent, queer person. I think everyone needs to get validation more often! Even more when it comes to spiritual, self care or creative expressions. Why I pointed out I'm Swedish is because if a Swedish person would need to be given their first Tarot deck it would either be because they grow up in a Tarot practicing family or they got it as an gag gift... It is possible others ways but the Swedish culture are very much, individuality, you are not really allowed to ask people what they believe in, nor what their political stance are. And if asked you have the absolute right to say I won't answer that question. You can choose to share your beliefs and political views, but no one has the right to ask you what you voted on and expect an answer. If you are teacher in Swedish schools you are not allowed to teach about your faith. We have a religious class where all the major world religions are part of the subject, and can go in to other types of faith. You can be brought up in any or non faith, at 16 you can choose to formally convert to a faith without your parents approval even though for most things it's as a 18 year old. So the concept of giving a person a Tarot deck without first making sure that person already are really in to tarot, metaphysical interest. Would most likely not be a thing. On the other hand you might have some kind of metaphysical shop in tiny towns. And have a lot of people teaching any and every form of spirituality in the smallest village. It's just not allowed to teach or promote as specific faith as better or more valid in school. Not even the national faith the Swedish church... or at least that was the rules when I was in school that is a time back now. There is a third probably option if someone was giving a way Tarot decks in town or as a part of an event you are going to... and is it really a gift? Party favours are probably the most likely way. I have been out of touch of Swedish culture for the last 15 years or so. Because of my neurodivergence. Still really unlike

Hi Benny! I have worked my way through most of this book, and I have learned so much. Lisa is a master at explaining the cards in a way that makes tarot relatable, no matter what our experience level. Between this book and your one card study series, I'm starting to feel less like a tarot newbie. It was an amazing gesture that she publicly acknowledged your input and what it meant to her.

I’m so stoked to hear you talk about this book. Lisa is so marvelous and I’m working thru it as well. I’m a seasoned reader and have read a million tarot books over the last 24 years, but this one has got me lit up. I wish this book existed when I first started. Side note, I ordered mine from Amazon after it was released and it still took 3.5 weeks to get to me even tho it was prime and in stock. Made me nuts. I like that this is truly like Lisa hangin out with you while you experiment with tarot. It’s so great. I’m really enjoying seeing everyone talk about their own experience with it. Writing on a deck is the thing I had a really hard time with 😂, but I purchased a deck in wasn’t familiar with instead of a second copy of a fav. I really have been enjoying the process of deep diving with a deck but in a super fun way. Thanks for sharing your journey with us, Benny!❤

Omg Benny, I'm so excited you are doing this! I am also newer to Tarot and just started reading Lisa's book. Out of all the Tarot books I've thumbed through, this one is by far the BEST. I love her writing style.. kind of like a best friend teaching you about Tarot instead of a cold general guide of card meanings. She is absolutely brilliant! Thank you x 1000 for doing this series. So sorry for your loss, Benny ❤ I have had a couple similar experiences with pets that were very hard and I know many of us would appreciate the example of your grief practice. AV Tarot on Etsy is the best!! I love trying to find decks used, it's a treasure hunt!

I went through the same thing about a year ago. My 15 year old cat abruptly stopped eating. I had to make the decision. I felt horrible guilt because I took her in to have them put her down. It was a painful experience. Precious , just like my Vera, had a long life absolutely full of love.

Oh Benny, you lovely human. You did the kindest, most loving thing you could in helping Precious over the Rainbow bridge especially if she was in pain and suffering. I’ve done the same for a beloved companion and felt that grief and guilt. Don’t doubt that she knew you love her.

I’ve just reached the part where Dawn is talking about the word ‘boundaries’ associated with this card. Interestingly, Ethony Dawn’s new book, Tarot Grimoire arrived yesterday and her magical spread for this card is Potential New Home Spread to determine whether a prospective new home is advantageous or whether it has lurking unseen risks. One of the questions is about feeling safe and protected in the house. The word boundaries goes well with the concept of a home as my home is where I feel most at ease, safe and protected. Boundaries are like the walls of my home, there to keep out harm and to keep me safe. So associating ‘boundaries’ is not a difficult stretch for the World card after hearing Dawn’s comment and reading this spread by Ethony. I love it when new associations emerge like this. Did you have high fevers? I had a very weird virus in July. Ended up in ER because I had extremely high fevers. They tested me but found nothing! So weird. The sickest I've ever been in my 48 years. Was worried about you but I saw you posted in Lisa's group so I figured you were busy. Feel better!

Let go of that guilt my lovely! We took my 19.5 year old to the vet June 15th. I knew for weeks, but that morn he was staring at us, nothing behind those eyes whatsoever, he hadn't been eating and couldn't get up and was sick on himself. I felt no guilt as I knew it was time 😢 only heartbreak ❤ You also did what was right when the time came 😘 I know my friend Heather said she contacted you and didn't hear from you about doing a card..

Hey, I'm so sorry for your loss, it never an easy thing to lose a companion for many years, I know I went through it as well. I wanted to suggest if you are interesting, I saw through Lisa youtube a video on an oracle deck called Grief Journey Oracle that is now on Kickstarter and going to end in few days, I think it is a good deck to have, and it looks fascinating, maybe you want to look it up see if the deck is talking to you. I wish you blessing and maybe when the time will come another companion will find their way to you.

I am so very sorry about your beautiful fur baby. I completely understand the guilt that you feel over the decision you had to make. I’ve had to do it too and I believe it’s just a process we have to go through. I always remind myself that putting them out of their misery and pain is better than watching them Waste away in pain looking at us basically saying with their eyes can’t you make this better? Can’t you make it go away? I’m sending you many many hugs for all of your distresses in the past few months . On a selfish note, I must say that I miss your face Benny . But wow, who knew you could grow such a luscious mustache and beard it’s quite impressive. I myself have fallen behind on not only my spiritual practice, but also my tarot studies life just has a way of taking over sometimes and illness.
