When you told me about how awesome the island was I did not expecting cowboys riding inflatable animals and getting lassoed 😂. Looks like a really cool place. Always glad to see backups in power generation too after our night of power loss.

We have our our boat in a slip in Orange County and get to Catalina as often as possible. A ton of great coves to explore. Snorkeling and fishing are great.

I know this is too late but I hope you had a chance to stop at Minney's Yacht Surplus when going through Orange County. It's in Newport Beach and a fantastic stop for any sailor.

Them cowboys know how to have fun!! The blue sky and water was beautiful in this and totally enjoyed the music with the videos. Glad the good times are happening for you.

So amazing how you went from putting miles on your tennis shoes at Trail Winds to sailing in a world unknown to you. I am so stinking impressed and also learning to surf. Have you tried doing any fishing? Well here's to more great adventures on the ocean. :)

Loved the video Blake. One of my favorite go to places when I lived in San Diego. The beautiful village of Avalon is breathtaking. I used to rent a Piper Cherokee and fly out to the island and stay a couple of nights. So much fun! Enjoy!

Why eat out of a bowl? Because the fluor chemicals of your pot are scraped into your oatmeal. And you do not want cancer. The kind of pot you have there, you should use extremely soft spoons and things in it. Never wood or metal. For real, people poison themselves. That type of pots is dangerous! Average people tend to ignore the pot owner manual. See? YOU DO IT WRONG!

Have you had to do any sail repairs since we docked at clipper in San Fran?

Hi Blake, awesome that you’re doing this grand adventure! We love following your journey and hearing about the challenges and triumphs. Why are you waiting until November to head to Mexico?

Such an epic journey. I got complements on my crew shirt and mentioned your channel so hopefully sending some views your way. Love to see optimistic Blake, I am never worried to see the other Blake even on our journeys together because I know no matter how hard it gets you make the best of the situation and move forward. When I moved into my van with no idea what it would be like I never expected the amount of freedom that would come with it. Sometimes it was a bit overwhelming but most of the time it was quite freeing. Do you ever have those moments where you are like "this is my boat" and you have to convince yourself this crazy awesome lifestyle is like what your doing now and isn't just temporary. Also any merch soon? I might be able to help with some cool multicolor 3D prints with your logo or a mini alba model flash drive people can get with some cool exclusive vids. Just an idea. Im itching to sail with you again soon.

While you're in anchorages, do you get enough time to go into town at all in some places?

I enjoyed your ramblings. One thing you could talk about while you have time is explain some of the boating terms you use for those of us who know nothing about boats. In this video you spoke of spiner, tack and jive. I'd like to know what they mean and how they affect your sailing. Do you write poetry? If so perhaps you might share with us. Sharing more views of your surroundings would be nice. Let us see what you are seeing from your boat. I think you can grow this channel once you start sailing more and get out of America.

Quick question, why sit around and wait? Why not just sail to Mexico.
