Clearcoat refresh on Audi TT 8J carbon fiber hood
The Seibon CF hood, or any other "brand" you find, is most likely dropshipped/made in china and rebranded and sold to you at a useless premium. These stock clearcoats are thin and possibly do not have use the same 2K types on OEM cars.
After some time, they fade and start to form white spots as they degrade. the only way out is to sand it down and repeat the clearcoat process, but to use a proper 2K clearcoat with hardener. As there is resin in the CF hood, this causes static to build up fast during spraying, unlike metal based panels. Either use a static removal tool, or sand down the final clear coat and buff.

Pretty easy to install, especially with the coilovers being shorter than stock, no need for the 2x4 method when putting them in. OF COURSE we installed our delete kits too! I decided to tuck them in behind the wheel well liners to make it neater. Points to take note: - Coilovers are shorter than stock, so adjust the hei...

do not remove the aluminium trim (for automatic DSG at least). you can lift off the shift knob boot/leather with any flat object, you could probably even pull it off by tugging on the leather. from there you can change your shift knob very easily. i also removed the metal zip tie with a picking tool, but a side cutter would probably make the job easier
