WHEN YOUR WORKING ON THE ECU YOU FIRSTLY DON'T PUT IT ON A STATIC PLASTIC WRAP FROM A DOLLAR STORE TARP YOU NEED A FLAT SURFACE TABLE AND A HIGH HUMID ROOM NOT A LOW HUMID ROOM AND DON'T WALK TO THE ECU AND CHARGE YOURSELF WITH STATIC DISCHARGE WALKING EFFECT, USE A GROUND STRAP OR TOUCH HOUSING NEG FIRST
Just bought at auction 1991 DD51B Watching what I can (learning) as it will take a few months to get here by boat. By far the best video on this ... straight forward and clear sequence. Really appreciate how it was presented. Thanks!
I am getting a 98 Suzuki imported from japan do you recommend changing timing belt right away? Also where do you get parts thankyou mike weaver
You have some great videos', Thank You!~!!! FYI....Make sure your distributor coil wire going all the way into your new coil, it looked like you may have not pushed it on all the way. They are a pain in the @#$ to stick back in. Sometimes driving will cause vibrations and they pop out, the next thing you know your vehicle dies and stops running.
Nice video. But I have a question: what do I do if my axle gets blocked
Hello from Australia Patrick. It's a satisfying feeling fixing the ECU isn't it? I did my LS400 UCF20R here in Australia. Do you have any experience with the telescopic steering motor and gearing mechanism? My steering column no longer telescopes out but the tilt is fine! Cheers from sunny Australia.
If they wanted a Trump recording they would be going Ape Shit!
Why not show taking the axle nut off? I have broken us steal extensions and had to cut them off many times. CRVs, ELEMENTS, and ODYSSEYS are notorius for having extremely hard to get off axle nuts. Folks. sometimes a cutting disk is your friend if working on therse up north. sweay bar links rusted. Don't waste your time. Cut them off. GREAT VIDEO.
Is this pretty similar in the 1994 hijets?
Similar as far as engine position but 94 is Carbureted and no coil packs
Coil packs are more failure prone than spark plugs. You should have replaced them, too while doing all that work.
I watched this, and am glad I own the scissors lift/dump version. I just put it in dump mode and lift the bed, take off the engine protection plate, and there is the engine.
I get it! I watched a show about average women and it made me really glad my wife is a lawyer and part time model!

Gotta love Daihatsu giving you ample room at the front of the engine to do this job. The new generation S200/210Ps are the exact same. Another thing to note is that the Daihatsu E engines are interference design so it is critical to make sure your timing marks are correct or you WILL ruin your engine when you go to turn it over.
Just checked my 1996 Hijet 4WD S110P EF-GS Twin Cam 12V and it had Denso K20TNR-S plugs in it. They looked old and dirty, will be changing them soon.
If you guys are in the process of looking for a lift kit, MuddyBottomMiniTrucks makes a kit
Will these fix a non functioning temp gauge needle?
Where you get the front guard I have the side an back runners I need the front any idea where to get one
Wear kneepads. You'll thank me when you're 60, trust me.
That just looks so easy, these little trucks seem to be a joy to work on. I think I'll get one
Hello, I wonder why the hijet ring is not coming soon
Amazing. I could not for the life of me feed the wires behind the dash.
Previous owner should’ve done the mod almost every MR2 has had done: cut a slot in the brake line retaining tab, so you can simply slide the lines out without having to remove them from the caliper. This way, you don’t have to bleed them. And you can simply install those two main knuckle bolts the other direction, so you don’t have to loosen and move the caliper to remove them.
I did the same thing. Cut a slot, bend down the metal on one side and pop out the brake line. 😂
Man I’m seeing a lot of room under the bed of that truck, at least potential room.. the entire spare tire carrier, that huge ass muffler, the battery housing. I mean what if we did a custom exhaust with no muffler, deleted the spare tire carrier, relocated the battery to a different location. How much room could we create underneath of these bad boys? I wonder if you could get like an old Toyota rear diff and an obscure lower displacement engine or something. It kind of feels like you could stuff something under there if you got creative. If not an older car/truck engine maybe a UTV or a snowmobile or a motorcycle or something. I’d like to see someone more skilled than me doing it first, it certainly feels plausible just because of how simple this truck is.
We know these behave normally with engines located more over the rear axle because some of them are positioned in that way, so it’s got to be possible.

Thanks for the video, bro. It's appreciated.
I crashed my cresta’s so now I’m turning it into a Roulant exceeded with new fenders, vented hood, and r/ front bumper 😂 I also have the cresta grille I need this radiator I just don’t want to take that water pump off because I don’t have a 1j but I will if I have to
For anyone watching this who's preparing to change the belt on their hijet with air condition, there's a second belt to contend with. Not a big deal, but there are brackets (and associated bolts that must be loosened) on both the front and back of the compressor. The easiest way to access the aft bolts is via the engine cover in the bed.
You have a link to the ball joint tool? The one I got from auto zone didnt fit right and took me 8 hours to raplace the damn ball joint

Hi Patrick, I would like you to make a video of how you change the head gasket of the Honda Acty , I have a Honda Acty 1998
The end was hilarious 😂 and thanks for the great video. This job is on my bucket list too...😅
Excellent video, thank you for making this!

Fel Pro 427RR or National/Timken 222PKG work for o-rings
This must only be on the carburetor models I have fuel injection and it is a different fuel filter and you have to take off a piece of plastic to get to it. 97 crv fuel filter is what mine takes
Thank you buddy where did you buy this fuel filter I must have ordered the wrong one
Im so mad about how good that sounds. 😤 now i have to get an exhaust for my acty 😂
Did this sell?
Yes it did. However we have 3 other JDM CR-V’s and one of those is manual transmission
nice
I'm putting this comment here because I struggled for two days trying to remove my crank pulley bolt. HOLY COW! This impact and socket combination and it came off like it was nothing, instantly. 1. Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2" High Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring Kit 2967-22 2. Lisle 77060 17mm Harmonic Balancer Socket That bolt was a nightmare.
what if it's leaking on the driver's side floor mat
So how are u moving it without using the switch ???
You think I can actually raise the Acty with these at max height?
No. At max height it’ll still be lowered than stock
