In 1954-'55 I had a 5th grade teacher who had boxes of Lenape artifacts. For half the time, he read to us from 'Dickon among the Indians.' (the title has changed) by M.R. Harrington. He told me of a submerged Lenape village, and burial ground., which periodically resurfaces. His name was Mr. Eckler

My great-grandmother was full-blooded Lenape, Turtle clan. I am trying to retrace a family history that was deliberately forgotten, it's not easy. In Australia, anyone with Aboriginal blood may identify as Aboriginal. In the US, my percentage is too small, so I'm "white". I have no right to claim my matrilineal rights to the Lenape tribe.

It is Disgraceful what White Europeans have done to people of color around the Globe! But we will rise again, because God has stated so. And we are not hateful, greedy people. So White people you need not to fear retaliation because God did not put Evil in us the way Satan has put Evil in you!

I read that diabetes is so high in Pimas because when the settlers came they cut off our water supply to our farms, put us on reservations and gave us rations of flour and lard which was not in our original diet thus causing spikes in diabetes because our bodies were not used to it. My mom has type 2 but together we stick to a high protein (fish and chicken mostly) and low carb diet which helps keep her sugars level.

The enemy has always been clear to us, no doubt. And it was the divine decree of God almighty that brought about this beautiful resurgence and flourishing of the aboriginal indigenous nation's and people's of the America's back to our natural way of life. Surely divine justice is no prejudice ignorance and mindset of a foreign supremacist ideology and enslaving genocidal culture. Good will always out strip evil.

You have wrong information about the type of diabetes Pimas have--TYPE I diabetes is the type with LOW INSULIN (called Juvenile Diabetes, you are born with this type). TYPE II Diabetes is ACQUIRED by eating more carbs/sugar/starches than you can handle--it produces HIGH INSULIN causing your body to become INSENSITIVE to insulin. The HIGH insulin becomes less and less effective in clearing glucose (blood sugar) resulting in HIGH GLUCOSE and HIGH INSULIN.

DONT CLAIM NATIVE PRIDE OR HERITAGE IF YOU CANT SPEAK THE NATIVE LANGUAGE NOT ONLY BECAUSE YOU ARE AT A SPIRITUAL LOSS AND THE SLAVE TO THE ENEMY BUT BECAUSE THAT IS YOUR HERITAGE EMBODIED. IDENTITY IT ISN"T SKINTONE , RINGTONE OR SOME FAKE SENTIMENTAL NONSENSE. IF YOU WERE AT A BATTLE WHERE THE LENAPE WERE FIGHTING THE DUTCH/AMERICANS AND GETTING MASSACRED YOU HAVE MORE IN COMMON WITH THE DUTCH AND AMERICANS ON ACCOUNT OF LANGUAGE THEN YOU DO WITH YOUR OWN PEOPLE THATS A TRAJEDY AND BETRAYL TO YOUR ANCESTORS. IF YOU DON'T SPEAK IT YOU ARE NOT ONLY MISSING OUT YOU ARE WILLINGLY A TRAITOR. IF YOU CAN LEARN PLEASE DO THERE ARE ELDERS WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN GOLD AND RECORDED DATABASES. TRUE NATIVE PRIDE MUST BE BUILT ON ACTUAL CULTURAL RESPONSIBILITES SUCH AS LEARNING YOUR LANGUAGE NO PLASTIC NONSENSE SMOKE AND MIRRORS. THE TIME IS NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. MOVE BACK TO THE GREEN EASTERN MOUNTAINS TAKE IT BACK IN A QUIET WAY AND IN POWER GO BACK TO THE TRADITIONS SPEAK THE LANGUAGE HAVE MANY DESCENDANTS THIS I PRAY.

In a world that did not have borders, and travel papers like peon slaves, the peoples could travel, migrate, resettle, join each other, etc more freely than people can even relocate from one state to another today. It's not odd to see people with a different license plate in a given state is it? This isn't really that different.

I think a large part of the problem with the Lumbee, isn't so much lack of Indian blood, there are a lot of mixed blood tribes, like the Catawba. I think the problem is, the Lumbee have been called so many things in their history, that it really does confuse the Bureau of Indian Affairs, when they read the petitions. Now, I'm all for federal recognition of the Lumbee, but the problem is is that you're going to have to find a way to get that, without objecting to it on the basis of well, let's call what the Eastern band of Cherokee Indians is doing what it is, racism. Insinuating, that people don't have enough Indian blood to be considered Indian is, racist, especially when the Eastern band of Cherokee Indians has a minimum blood Quantum of 1/16, as far as I am concerned 1/16 Cherokee is still Indian. The EBCI's cousins in Oklahoma have no minimal blood quantum, so, since they recognize their right as a tribe, I don't see why they have such an issue with the Lumbee.

    • @stormy-le6pb

The problem is that their own DNA project showed that they had no Native American haplogroups in their DNA, it showed that they only had European and African DNA, so nope, they cannot be Indians if they are not Indians. They is lying, and they are lying right now, to the state for claiming to be indians, when they are not. you need to do more research on them, and you will see that they are not what they claim to be. They are snakes in the grass. This had nothing to do with racism, but with just the truth.
