2025: Looking at the Year Ahead for A3
Happy New Year, friends! I'm excited about 2025. I hope you are.
It's just an exciting opportunity to see what God is going to do this next year with us. And I'm encouraged. I think he's going to do some neat things.
You know, one of the things that have been noted by the World Evangelical Alliance and the Lausanne Movement-it's the number one gap in the world-is a discipleship gap. We really need to go deeper with our leaders. And so, one of the focal points of A3 this next year is investing deeply in the lives of our leaders. And I pray you would pray for our leaders in this because this is the critical moment of the Church to go deeper in our walk with Christ so that we don't see the kind of celebrity syndrome that's impacting leaders, and leaders that are kind of falling out and falling by the wayside.
In addition to that, this next year, we are expanding in surprising fashion. We had a country come to us just recently saying they were in operation and we thought it was dormant. Not only are they in operation, but they have 90 different leaders in six different cohorts, and they're saying, "Please come alongside of us again!" And so we're excited to reinvest in that country, one of the largest in the world.
Our work in Japan is very encouraging to me because they want to double the Christian population and we're seeing more missionaries sent to Japan, and it's just a thrilling synergy to see the timing of all this come together.
As we grow, you may have heard that we've kind of put our toe prints or footprints into some new continents the last few years. We started working in North Africa and a little bit in Europe this past year. And just recently we started working in the Americas. Well, friends, my colleagues have just returned from a trip not long ago where we're exploring about 10 new countries in Africa. We won't open all of them in 2025, but the potential is enormous. And so all these continents, I anticipate at least a country, perhaps two or three that will be opening. And so 2025 is going to be an exciting year.
And then finally, as we talk about discipleship being a key gap, it's critical that we invest in the next generation. And A3 as a movement is really investing in younger leaders. And one signpost of that has been one of our senior leaders has decided to transition this, this next year in 2025. They're going to be retiring, but staying alongside as a volunteer. And with that, we brought in a new vice president who will be the head of global ministries. And as A3 has gone global, having a vice president for global ministry is super exciting and he hails from the country of India. So that's exciting to see somebody from the continent of India that will be a key leader in the life of A3 going forward-Jeyakaran Emanuel.
So friends, would you pray for us? This is a crucial year that we go deeper in discipleship and invest in the next generation as A3 continues to grow across the nations. We are grateful for you and just want to thank God for the partnership we have in the Kingdom. God bless you, and thank you again.

They have offered to us a $500,000 matching challenge that...

A3 Overview (v2024)
มุมมอง 615 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hello everyone. We have always believed that a Christ-centered leader who is fueled by God and supported by a local community, can change a nation. Jesus modeled this himself, creating a mission-inspired team of disciples, a cohort of leaders each with their own gifts and calling, but who came together for support, learning, and growth. As Asian Access has worked over 50 years in Japan and thro...

Compassion Starts with Seeing While teaching in A2/Cambodia, Adrian De Visser sensed that most participants had not grappled with social concern-especially the reality of hurting and marginalized people in society-their own society. So Rev. De Visser took them not far to see firsthand some victims of sex slavery right there in Phnom Penh. These victims are not just women, but even very young girls. Apparently some girls are sold to foreigners for as little as $200 for one week. “It was difficult, but I had to expose them to another side of the world,” De Visser recounts. “It seemed to me that, even though it was a reality, that was not what the church wanted to be involved in.” But then they saw with their own eyes. The group talked with these victims and personally heard their stories. Seeing brought compassion. Like Jesus who had compassion when he saw people as ‘sheep without a shepherd,’ the same thing happened to these leaders. God touched their hearts. Adrian summed up the transformation: “That day, a desire to help these children was birthed in the hearts of key leaders.” Now Adrian along with Pastor Meng Aun Hour, A2/Cambodia national director and these leaders, aim to equip others to see, as well. The Church in Cambodia is attempting to help these little kids. They are trying to rescue young girls from a life of sexual slavery. They are setting up homes for them and sending them to schools. They hope to give them dignity and a new life. This is a huge undertaking, so we invite you to pray and be a part of it. Pray for leaders to see and to be burdened. Pray for the Church in Cambodia to bring transformation in his area. “This is one of the advantages of Asian Access. We not only train and work with the leaders, but we get them involved in national issues of their own countries.” Isn’t this the call of the great commandment to love your neighbor? The priest averted his eyes, but the Good Samaritan did not. What are ways you can keep from averting your eyes, so you can see the hurting people around you?
