I play some of the current patch of 4.0 EPTU. Its rough but most of it stems from all the server work happening. PYRO will be ready when its ready. .

While i'm glad they actually did something for the Carrack, another part of me knows that they did this to tie us over while it goes to the back of the queue. Unfortunatley, i think it's going to be a long time until we see all of the features implemented. Until then. it's just another hauler.

I'm glad to see what it looks like with the Auspicious Red I got that skin myself it's my main livery also curious to try the Purple Haze which is my alt livery I own... now that I mention it I bet the storm skin prob looks cool with that blue, black & white, According to the star citizen wiki this is the blast shield's description: "Canopy protection - The Carrack features a beautiful single-pane multi-story cockpit window that offers an unprecedented view alongside a titanium-reinforced blast cover capable of sealing off the ship quickly when danger strikes. When in blast mode, the Carrack relies on its extensive onboard sensors for flight.[3]" secondly I disagree with you if your planning to leave the cockpit and more importantly the ship itself it kinda makes sense to have the cockpit armoured up incase someone attacks it while your away it will give you more time to get back to it as they'll have to shoot through the armour the cockpit is a weak point structural integrity wise due to the single large window pain with no frame at the the front and with the new destruction engine havoc it will probably be accurately depicted when it comes to weakpoints... one less hardpoint for them to shoot at makes sense (why do they call em a hardpoint if they break off) It's our new armadillo and it's on point my only regret is I probably can't stick a Medical Terrapin inside it's hangar (i'm coining the term Medraipin) but that doesn't matter I got a Nursa and a C8R and once those pods lower all the way down i'll be able to fit my nursa in in that too!... Imagine a medical carrack with 8 Nursa's and a Pisces medical on board... 2 in the vehicle hangar and 2 in each pod a fleet of nursa's to come to an army's aid.... sadly I can't afford that and my org wont be medical it's exploration based but it's nice at least having the facilities for anything up to Tier 2 not to mention medical respawn galore that would allow a carrack to act as a drop ship for troops and their medical respawns! now if only we can get some remote turrets closer to the front and maybe one of those AI anti missile turrets on the roof near the cockpit that act as a trophy system I feel like a carrack should at least have 1 on the top front and 1 at the bottom back amd have the lower turret moved forward somewhere as a remote one freeing up more space for other things also theres a missing section of a room on the hab floor that's closed off in the dining room it should be as big as the crew habs which gives it potential to have a larger crew!

The glass used for cockpit windiws is supposed to be super strong already, so I have to assume that the blast shields will help protect against radiation of some sort, as you said.
