I got replacement shell from extremerate with kontrol freek grips me I love it , I’ve had the control for going on two years and I haven’t had stick drift , mind you I have two extra modules , and I play 1800 hours a year according to PlayStation lol extremerate is working on a upgrade to the back with 4 paddles , and mouse triggers

For the amount they charge, the build quality on these controllers is atrocious. It's exactly the same scam Microsoft run with both of their Xbox Elite controllers (even down to the way the rubberised grips quickly came unstuck on the first Elite, just like on your Edge!). It's a real shame. For something I use and touch a lot, I'd happily pay for a more premium feeling device. But it has to be built to last. IME, these premium controllers are actually more fragile than the standard ones, even if they feel nice the day you get them.

NOT a permanent fix cause youbare literally changing only half of the potentiometer but you can replace the whole thing you only need to know how to solder not sure if they need calibration after that cause currently Dualsense Edge is the Only Playstation controller we don't have calibration tools for

sony scam. selling replaceable analog, but never stocking it

My issue so far with both of mine is the USB c port seems loose cause if i lean forward or back it disconnects and I'm using the locking clip and it's not coming off.

if it's not a hall effect replacement, it's not a fix. Those Alps potentiometers are total garbage and will inevitably begin drifting again.

I moved to the Edge from Scuf because the stick drift was terrible after a year. my left stick goes all the way to the left with just a tap. Its unplayable.

it's a no, the controller is great, but you can't get modules (only overpriced).. go for a hall effect controller.

even with Scuf you will get stick drift, and even with more expensive controller than this you will get stick drift at some point. what you said about the back buttons im with you they should made it 4
