Nice. As a buick guy im surprised i dont see more of the ford copy turbocharged. Its nice to be unique amongst cookie cutter builds...
love the stang my guy im curious how fast you would you consider this car and if looking back you think it was even worth it, ik you have had this car for well over a decade so id love to know what your overall thoughts on it are
The car is "fast" in relative terms to me, Its actually the fastest car I have, even having 3 other V8s. I am currently working on 4.6 Stroker (5.0) 2V - with a Whipple which should put down around 650 HP to rear wheels. Was it worth it? Money wise, probably not, but I learned so much throughout the years, I did nitrous, super charger, and finally a turbo. If I put that same money into a V8 would the car be faster? YES of course.. I bought this car when I was 19 so there is some connection to it.. lots of good times. As I learned early, there is always a faster car....

The body kit or engine? This is a Roush 99-04 kit, side exhaust, 04 front

What’s your grind for the cam to get that kind of chop?
pretty positive 4.2 crack swap will give it a bit more chop but the rps are about thesame

What type oil and what grade do you use?
5w/20 4.6 typical - I only use mobile 1 oil and filter. (nothing wrong with other brands)
I'm hoping to get my 2001 3.8l v6 stang to push 300 to 500hp with a twin turbo kit and obviously build up the engine
You should look at supersixmotorsports.com - some of the work already done for you, if you want to make more than 300 you should build the bottom end first - and I hate to give this advise because I know where you are at, starting with 4.6 platform is probably cheaper.

yo dude i have a question, i have a guy willing to sell me his entire vortech v2 kit from his newedge v6 mustang. for about 2500$ plus shipping or id have to go 1800 miles to pick it up. you ran a procharger kit for a while, would you say round about that price point is worth it? or should i just buy the twin turbo set for 2 grand off ebay?
Sorry missed this, I paid like 1000$ for my v2 kit - because the v6 is under powered I would not recommend belt driven, turbo is better for 6 cylinders, just my opinion. Thats why all the 4 bangers use turbos, no belt stealing power.

It's not bad actually, they have a damper tool that allows some adjustment as well

You should be able to find a used one for around 3,000$ which includes the manifolds, turbo, intercooler, cold and hot side piping, wastegate, blow off valve - although not sure how many more exist - otherwise you can build yourself for around the same price (note this does not include the price of the engine work + tune)
