Don't think I'd park under a gas canopy, I've seen too many of those go down in storms.
1:16 Now that I haven’t seen in years
I was right, the Rust Belt isn’t recovering. Sure, there may be people saying it is, but if you pay an actual visit to the Rust Belt, you’ll see nothing but closed down factories, abandoned houses, and so much more. The Rust Belt isn’t recovering.
How come nothing is breaking or flying around. If you look across the road the trees aren't even moving. With that wind There should be trees snapping the banners should have flown are. This video looks fake.
You got a really good point about those trees.... That honestly confuses the crap out of me as well. However, I can assure you that this storm was not fake because I was in that very storm when it hit. I was at home watching from my living room window, seeing the trees violently sway with branches snapping off along with dumpsters being thrown around. The transformer even exploded right in front of me. I seriously thought this was a tornado. Spent the whole evening and night without power. If I recall correctly, this occurred on a Sunday night because I had to be at work the next morning. I do have a video on my phone that I took. I should upload it.
I'm a storm chaser (I also chased this storm) and I think it's absolutely insane that you had your window down, My brother in christ 💀💀💀😫
Yeah no kidding. With all the electronics in a car now days a little water can completely destroy it, maybe not right away but down the road.
I'd much rather follow these type of videos because they're actually real. Thats intense and I hope everyone was okay!
Dude were u underneath a gas pump canopy!! U got lucky bud
Hey Thistle, do you have an email address we can use to contact you regarding this video? I'd love to discuss a license to use this if possible! Cheers, Felix
What a mess. Makes the country side look bag.
I got one in 2018
Love how this video opens with "Hurricane" trucking driving by. 😊
This storm is crazy !
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
I didn't know 45mph could move like that
Great video! This derecho really got Kansas good. One thing though: Gas Station canopies are bad sheltering places. Window-wise, I leave that to the driver.
Interesting coincidence at 0:21 - tractor/trailer: "Hurricane."
It will continue to get worse around the world as we get closer to mid October 🪶
Breezy afternoon......
I mean, ok, I personally wouldn't roll down my window while the wind's blowing so hard it's actually raining upwards, but that's an option, I guess.
wow. have you see any cow fly yet ?
Bad move by the truckers.
Ah yes, central Kansas. Hard to believe the power stayed on as long as it did...
I have seen many of those awnings over the gas pumps slammed to the ground after big storms plus you are next to and above 10s of thousands of gallons of explosives! Find a better place next time.
Ok bubble wrap boy. 🤣
Nice video bro 😎 but keep fingers away from mic it tends to muffle the sound
Nice way to ruin a car with all that water coming in, but maybe he don't care. He must be one of them with lots of sponsers that pay for the cars that he ruins, lol.
Looks like a tornado to me.
I have this thing where even if it’s lightly sprinkling I keep my window barely cracked to order at a drive through my brain could simply not accept you left the window open for this
No kidding! I wouldn't even think bout leavin my window tht far down ever
Wow this is so awesome!
Nice video. Shoulda went in, and got yourself a footlong chili cheese coney while you waited it out. Lol! I've been to that Love's several times over the years.
We got it in Houston
Holy cow thats crazy.
Went through a devastating one August 10, 2020 here in Iowa !! Never want to again.
WOW! Thanks for sharing!❤
Almost looks like a tornado
It is, instead of rotating, it's creates a straight line. Much longer.
Correction, that IS a Tornado lol
Never seen one like this , Crazy sustained wind !!
I have. Cedar rapids area, iowa Aug 10 2020. 140 mph straight-line winds that sustained for a solid hour. Destroyed everything. Makes this one look like nothing
Good video. Thanks.
Abandoned because 2 19 and 21 year old engineers were doing maintenance on the one that looks burned. It was a team of 4. 2 escaped. The 2 hugged and died on them.
I think if they build that area up like major cities there wouldn't be as many tornadoes and other storms because the area wouldn't be as open for a tornado to form. IDK I could be wrong
You are incorrect.
Nah, the heat is what it has to have and the addition of lots of concrete and asphalt cause a huge amount of heat to go up in comparison to fields and forests. I've flown small planes and when you fly over a highway or large parking lot the thermals almost make you lose control of the aircraft. The conditions to form tornados occurs high in the sky.
@@elessartelcontar9415 👈🏾 Goober always babbles in extremes. 🤣 I fly over a parking lot and almost lose control! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 #goofball
STUPID ON STEROIDS
Actually I thought the purpose of public education was to make young men into cat boys!!😮😅😊
So if you wonder why trains blare their horns so much, it's because they're confined to tracks, AND have absurdly long braking distances. So, literally anything in front of them will get hit, no matter what. When you understand that, it makes sense why they need a signal that shouts "GET OUTTA MY WAY!!!!! NOW!!!! MOVE OR YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!!"
450 to 600 cubic yards of concrete for the base of each one of these
I as a Pastor's son, lived in Hollis from 1950 thru 1953 when we left Hollis and moved to Florida. The Rail-tracks are gone but the grain mill still stands right near Slim Hendersons Garage Shop still stands. { I've been inside his shop more than once. The Church is gone as well as the Parsonage, but my Mull-berry tree is still there {WOW} WHAT SWEET MEMORIES !! Thanks for sharing.
some of these machines/parts still look salvageable. could be sold instead of being left to rot to the point where there just hunks of scrap.
Found the diet Alex Jones!
I have one of these! haven't used it in a whike
I love to watch trains from where you’re standing
Haaaa l’Amérique, une sagesse modeste…. 🤭 La croissance les habites 🛟
that is a nicely lit area, how short are the days up there?
Sun comes up around 7:30am and sets around 6 pm this time of year
