@OrganicPower-Australia checking out google it's a known issue with the 48v cerbos, the fuse doesn't even blow. It needs to be modified with a capacitor or it will continue to happen.

Stainless steel ground rods are used in substation earth grids (much larger versions). I have installed many. www.lpi.com.au/product/stainless-steel-earth-rod/ Copper coated steel rods corrode very easily, they are an absolute mess when you pull an old one out. Both Stainless and copper rods meet the standards. Stainless is far superior for this application.

Many reasons check out this information - www.lpi.com.au/product/stainless-steel-earth-rod-2/ - Stainless meets the wiring standards as well as copper but offers increased durability. I have installed stainless electrodes up to 10m deep, upgrading the earthing grid for industrial transformer compounds. 1 such job had 6x 10m stainless electrodes connected to the grid for 1 transformer.

@ Thanks for the link. I did check it out. I am far from an earthing expert, but want to learn. I know that connecting leads to a copper buscar with stainless bolts is not advisable because they have higher resistance and get hot. I see that the anti corrosive properties of stainless can help in certain grounding situations. I noticed a product in the link that helped to prevent ground loops that I wasn’t aware of. Thanks again.

Hi, I have used their MCCB’s and MCB’s for DC protection. They were tested by tripping under full load to confirm safe operation before the installation process. I only use Hager or Clipsal switchgear for anything on the AC side.

Thanks 👍 I have been back since the install as the owner upgraded to a Lithium auxiliary battery. Utilising a 25a DC-DC charger the job was made very easy, avoiding any charging issues with the AGM motor start battery or Lithium AUX battery. Thank you for the comment and stopping by.

Hi, I made up some brass spacers to suit the lugs and bought longer high tensile bolts from our local bolt shop.

Hi, thanks for dropping by 😎 we have the system setup for single phase as we don't have any 3 phase loads. It's very simple to reconfigure to 3 phase. The Victron system is very user friendly.

@OrganicPower-Australia lucky you 😁. We have a 10kw solar system and when enquiring about having a totally off grid system it was denied as we live in Suburbia here in Australia. The power company claims we own the system but they control the energy it creates and stores. Just interested in how you got around it. Great job 👏

It's a very safe chemistry, the shop is around the corner and they will stand by their product. I had more faith in an off the shelf store bought battery rather than using no name batteries bought online.

@@OrganicPower-Australia Agree, all the serious reviews (As in all the discharge / recharge tests and disassembly) indicate a great battery.

Thank you for taking an interest in the channel! In the past 12 months we have produced 19576kWh and consumed 18332kWh we are very happy. 18332 x .34c kWh = $6,232 in savings. The first 4 months of the year the system was still being built, next year will be even better!

Hi, any other day besides a very grey rainy day they will top up to 100%. 42kWh 55v bulk 54.2 float. Yesterday we produced 56.9kWh and used 51.9kWh $20aud a day in savings $7300 a year 🥳
