I originally made this as just some spooky october music, but I put it in boneworks so it counts.

I never really intend to have my eurorack play drums (thats what the rytm is for) but I felt like trying it now that I got a plonk

I was curious to see what plugging my guitar into Clouds would sound like and things got pretty ambient.
Late Night Modular Ambient Patch (Mother 32, Eurorack)
มุมมอง 4626 ปีที่แล้ว
Been trying out some patches late at night and figured I should start posting. Patch Notes: Mother32 with a couple notes programmed in, run/stop controlled by a random. Modulation sent from Mother32 gate out to peaks, bursts by pulsar, lfo by maths, fed back to Mother32 cutoff and lfo (which is driving res). Mo32 saw is also going to clouds, position/size modulated by Maths. Everything is fed t...

This was an earlier bake of the living room in duck season. I haven't recorded any recent gameplay but I figured I'd post this for giggles.

Modular Reorder - Simple quick patch
มุมมอง 1997 ปีที่แล้ว
I re-ordered my modular rig to better optimize the layout. This is just a really quick patch test to make sure it was all functioning! More videos soon about the modules and why I got them.

How do you even make one of these synthesizers?
is that SLZ office from boneworks?
Yeah that was at the studio
0:09 Bro vented before Among Us existed
What up son?
Is it possible that these kind of shadows, bloom, and volumetrics might be possible to do with current standalone hardware in future games? (Or patches??? 🤔)
In this demo there were actually no bloom or volumetrics. The lightcones are running on standalone in the TC04 mod level right now. I think the bloom you might be referring to is the chromatic aberration which was a post effect on the camera and not seen in the headset. As for realtime shadows, they are a monumental performance nightmare
OK, so everyone’s kinda freaking out over here, there are rumors from security that someone broke into the complex and coordinated a breach in myth,
Real masterpiece, what was in your rack at the time?
This better be in b-side
WHY ISNT THIS ON THE BONEWORKS VINYL RELEASE 😭😭😭😭
this sounds like what walking in the middle of a desert while dehydrated feels like
Funny how it's about to be 6 years before this gets released to the public
heh, alex null
i love coming back here every once in a while and just letting the vibes/nostalgia seep in, i always thought this puzzle music was made in a DAW but this video introduced me to the world of modular synths and has made me wanna consider investing in a set myself in the future, Thank you Alex for everything you do, You are the most under-appreciated hard working person i've ever seen. The impact you've made in the VR space will be reflected for hundreds of years to come, Even if it may not be directly referred to you. All of us OGs will know it was you that started the domino, working your ass off from all the way back in the Hover Junker days to whatever comes next. I know you don't show yourself as much on camera but trust me your presence is acknowledged and always will be. Thank you again, i hope one day i can achieve a similar skillset to yours in terms of game dev, music etc..
thank you for the kind words! I'm going to keep working at it until my bones stop
it's gotten to the point that i get nostalgic while listening to this track. it's so over this is a masterpiece, AK. you should release an album of long tracks like this, i'd buy it in a heartbeat
haha, I appreciate that wow. It is weird to create something that generates nostalgia for someone. I will try to get back to making ambient puzzle music for future games.
@@AlexCKnollyou should really try it sometime - this style of music is so unique and surreal, and you totally nail it in my opinion
i lowkey wish this song was in boneworks
how did you get this i have been looking for it
It's a developer
@@UrikaTractor oh
What map is this?
Any chance you could release this? I'd love to mess around with this demo, it looks awesome.

Yes

this feels like it's digging its way into my subconcious
wait a minute do you work for slz? how did you play this? Edit: i had no idea t the time you were alex knoll, lol
We made this demo for GDC in 2018. It was built with a pretty experimental SDK and isn't playable anymore. Modern Bonelab mechanics are superior in every way.
thanks. i like the model, isnt it safety steve?

Wish for a public build to come out for this (Ik we got boneworks but this demo looks amazing!)
I have two words to describe the song. Retro-futuristic and calm
What is this picture? Kinda creepy

@@anrai2161 thanks
Those wavey effects remind me of the loading screens from postal redux for some reason. Btw, with psvr2 just around I was wondering if you guys have considered porting boneworks or bonelab to it? That's if somehow getting mods to work is possible, maybe like a ingame mod manager and downloader.
How will this affect the lore
Pushing ford down a tower type beat
years later and i'm still in awe that y'all over at stress level zero managed to do this in 2018, and even managed to get a far more advanced version to run on a quest 2 too

Been a dang while, it’s easiest to ping me on discord :P
This is the best song on the OST
Can't believe they chose this to play in museum basement V2. It's amazing
Ambient travel is still better tho better fits the vibe
@@CynicalMT fax
no clue why they got rid of everything that made museum basement special
@@RIMZARE this is bonelab, you don't get to be special, you get to be watered down boneworks and you better be happy about it

leaves a funny feeling in your ears.
Man, I remember heading to my friends place to fuck around with his rift and he just got duck season and I swear I was pretty damn close to shitting self that day hahahaha
