Sekiro DLSS Performance Test
Sekiro Renderer Update already had DLAA. I have not implemented upscaling as well. Here is 1440p(upscaled from 720p). The UI is rendered at full resolution compared to scene and blended back in.
Note there is AutoExposure and some bloom effects pending to blend back into the buffer. Some UI Elements flicker as well.

Testing DLSS Performance Upscaling 720p to 1440p. It cuts the GPU Utilization in Half. Not sure why the video feels washed out. All the work on Motion vectors is now paying off much higher

DS3 uses "Bind pose matrices" to do skinning. High quality motion vectors were not present originally. By caching the previous frame bind pose matrices and reverse engineering the shaders, pixel perfect motion vectors can be captured.
Basic TAA - Dejittering for PostEffects

Ideally you want to do DOF/Bloom after TAA. However the depth buffer is not same same size if using upscaling eg: DLSS. Hence there needs to be a Basic TAA done to handle the flickering. All done at half resolution. 1. Downsample motion vectors (max) 2. Downsample scene color buffer. 3. Apply TAA on the half res from 2

its prolly LOD realted, don't if there are any mods to help with that or if you can mess with the game's files.

This isn't sbout finishing it , this mod is adding things that improve it beyond what was possible or expected in 2016 when the game released

Hello, DS3LE is only in dev test right now and lot of development currently is in progress. So it will take time on that front.

Does this mean we could get dlss frame gen in ds3? I dont think most mordern hardware would require frame gen for ds3 but would be good for people playing at ridiculously high resolution such as 8k.
Yeah DLSS is planned and is required for eg on hardware like mine 3060ti to reach 4k. The base DS3 itself takes around 60-70% gpu util at 1440p. Add realtime shadows, SSR, SSGI, Postprocessing it will touch around 80% with everything maxed out. 4K is 2.2x the pixels of 1440p. So the GPU will simply be unable to hit 60FPS with everything enabled.
@DS2LightingEngine tbf almost nobody with 3060 (my main device rn is a laptop with 3060 ) will expect to run games at 4k and I don't even think it belongs in the same price bracket. I am happy if I even get 1080p high on current gen games lol.
@@VivekKumar-tn2ue Oh yeah I hear you. I mean still like instead of the game doing just the basic upscaling. Like it does not even try lol. Just simply bilinear upsamples the image instead of some complex stuff. If you are playing fullscreen and monitor resolution is diff from game resolution.
@@DS2LightingEngine Yeah for older games like ds3, i usually use Nvidia dynamic super resolution and downscale from 1440p for my 1080p display, helps with anti-aliasing a lot. I really appreciate the work you're doing for souls games, ds3 would look 10 times more beautiful with dlss and the weird shimmering that happens at a distance.

Funnily the Architecture of the renderer is same between DS3 and Bloodborne. Its just DS3 is Dx11 and ShadPS4 is Vulkan. This problem had bothered me since I put DLAA in DS3.

At first I expected a level/game restart, or video/GPU restart for it to work, but when it actually did work on the fly the "WOW!' I exhaled was unintentionally loud. That is truly a solid work mate, good job!
