Our performance as part of the Yosakoi block at Japan Festival Canada on August 20th, 2022.
This is our tribute to one of the most beautiful video games, Ōkami, with a yosakoi-inspired dance featuring the iconic songs "Reset" and "Rising Sun"!

You guys should be incredibly proud of yourselves, that was beautiful. And with full makeup and costume too! Martial arts in ATLA already looks so much like dancing and you translated Kyoshi choreography so well here! Bravo!!

I just stumbled across your video and I am absolutely in love with everything! The choreo, the costumes, THE FANS! You really did an amazing job! I was wondering how you made the fans in the second part? What kind of material did you use to create that bending effect?
Thank you so much for the kind comment! The fans were purchased; if you'd like to buy a pair of your own you can search for "fan veils" online. Our go-to shop is called "winged sirenny". (although, if you want to get crafty and make your own, you can buy your own fan staves! The fabric is a very thin silk!)

They actually made the fans look like fire, air, and water bending. Not just flailing their fans around. 10/10
The element flags are a nice nod to the Ember Island Players.
That was phenominal but my favorite part was when the woman with the fire cloth did her solo.
Absolutely in love with the choreography, all three dancers are perfectly in sync and using the ribbons for the bending is brilliant but having the fans underneath is even better :D Costumes and make up are an important piece of any performance as well, those are great too! Well done, congratulations on the win!

Hi, I know it's been years since this has been posted, I'm writing because I'm coreographying a Kyoshi presentation and stumbled across this beautiful video, I wanted to know if it would be possible to do said presentation, I dance with fans too and wanted to do something similar and thought how could it be that no one did one already so that's how I came to this video
Could it be possible to take some inspo to do said coreography? I don't want to copy or anything, I just don't want it to seem like I copied or did something without asking you guys first
I've been belly dancing with fans, pois, Isis wings since child and wanted to mix that with cosplaying

Kiyoshi warriors do not bend I think theyre just fighters claiming the name of the Avatar Kiyoshi, for their Origin
Hello! You are correct! Here the warriors are dancing with fan veils to recreate Kyoshi's bending as an ode to the Avatar!
