Can't say for sure how many hours I spent playing Heroes 3. One of top 10 games in my basket. Just yesterday had finished Shadow of Death campaign. Gonna go Armageddons Blade and Classic then :p

Dave Mullich and John Van C are a throwback to the golden years of gaming when smaller studios were making and breaking ground and cared about their product. I wish they never sold into 3DO, and now Ubisoft, the series the creativity was never quite the same, and Might and Magic the RPG game, went down hill because of 3DO. MM X was a lower budget attempt, which was ok, but not great.

I played the first three games in the 90s- early 00s..was obsessed as a kid and teen anf no one i knew played or knew this gsme...now everyone on the other side of the world does. Go figure

I played this game at 6 years old on my dad's pc, I still love it and it's community to this day, and I'm American, it takes a lot of effort to keep my attention, if that doesn't speak volumes about how beautiful and replayable it is.

Awesome interview, I remember playing it first as a demo from a pc magazine which featured one of the scenario "dead and buried" it was wa too hard for me as a kid at first but I got it eventually with my parents in a big media store I was happy the game run on our pc so flawlessly. I still enjoy it until today! The soundtrack and overall design is in my opinion unsurpassed in the series.

I was about seven when I first played HoMM III. It was like a new world had opened itself to me. Whenever I would take a walk in the forest, I'd imagine wood elves, unicorns and centaurs hiding behind the trees. Whenever I visited the snowy hill tops, I imagined great blue capped towers looking over the lands, with gargoyes flying about and magi practicing wizardry. Now, almost 20 years later, I still play it time to time, even after having finished all the campaigns at the highest difficulty. I love introducing it to friends, and never have they been disappointed. It is a true masterpiece, that will go on living for as long as I do, and hopefully, most likely, ages after that. Thank you, all who made it a reality.

Probably my favorite game of all time, and I'm from Canada. I still play this game online.

Argentinian fan here, been playing since the demo with the "Dead and Buried" map. It was love at first sight, and it is super strong to this day.

It was fun for us to play because it was fun for the developers to play, really not that hard to understand.

I really love the Heroes Chronicles (which is Heroes 3 essentially). The story of Tarnum led me to Heroes 4 and it is my favorite game, though I do cherish them all.

I have Heroes collectors edition on my shelf, all games in a big beautiful box and I'm waiting for my all in edition of Heroes 3 board game... and played the game again today. Horn of the Abyss and Heroes HD mod are amazing!

I have been playing hotseat multiplayer with my brother in this game for over 20 years. Heroes of Might & Magic 3 is truly one of a kind!

I think its just new games fail to capture the same magic and originality the older ones had. Graphics are not everything, and realizing that you know HOMM 3 gameplay is nearly perfect

Italian player here, I started playing in 1999 because of a friend of my father. They used to play chess and strategy games and one day he comes with this CD of a new game. I remember being behind the screen with my family trying to understand how to play. It was love from the beginning bc it's an instant classic: the music is amazing, the creatures are perfectly designed and it's clever. It felt like a virtual and realistic version of Magic the gathering, which I loved, but couldn't really appreciate. Heroes III should be way more popular, yet the community around this game is amazing.

Love heroes 3. My first experience with the game was when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I remember seeing my friend play it on his computer. I described it to my dad as some kind of space game, since the fog of war kind of looks like stars. Anyways I got the game not long after and I've been playing it since. Me and a couple IRL buddies still game sometimes on it. Long live the online community!

David Mullich should really someday join up with some of the modders and create a new heroes-like game. Ubisoft is certainly not doing anything great with the IP.

In the future, even though I am 60 years old I will still play this game. This game is the game I love the most. A lot of memory...Nostalgia <3
