I repair and restore cars. I will attempt repair on any automotive problem. To find the solution and eventually fix is where I get my satisfaction.
Mercedes A200 1.33 camshaft & Timing chain
Here the camshafts and timing chain is installed. To do this I will be fitting the upper sump and oil pump as well. #automobile #diy #mechaniclife #mechanic #mercedesa200 #renault #nissan #mercedes @MatArmstrongbmx @M539Restorations @MechanicSteve

Loving the vids!! You deserve more subs! Why don’t you use promosm?!? It’s the best way to grow your channel!
Thank you! What is promosm?
Check my new video. I have come a long way since the last one in terms of car diagnostics and repair: th-cam.com/users/shortsjPG884ql08A?feature=share
I have same problem and don’t know what it is any solutions
Mine does the same when hot.. but since I am a poor student I turn on the AC and problem solved 😅 (It has 407000km..)
Nice video👍🏻
Its definitly either engine fuel pump electronics or the fuel tank pump....but i would go with electronics of the engine fuel pump.....
it's a problem with either air in the fuel system or the fuel pump, or both. i have the same problem. but mine also looses power in highway speeds which tells me that it's not getting enough fuel after while. the pump cannot either suck or pump enough fuel to the injectors, meaning that eithe it's sucking in air from a leaky hose or a seal has gotten shot, or the pump is just too worn out. replace the pump and check the fuel lines from the tank. a rebuilt pump is about 560€ from a german ebay. a new one is about 1000€ from a retailer.
Everything inside the actuator. Once you open it up, you will see the dirt that builds up in there. Good luck and sorry for the late reply.
And what did you actually clean? And how please?
Sorry for the late reply. Have you tried cleaning your injectors? You probably have a common rail engine with a high pressure injection pump. Check your injectors first. There are a few methods for this. Google should help you out.
The actuator is the electronic part of the injection pump. It's simply the top part of the pump that you can take apart and clean or replace with a new unit. In my case, cleaning did the job.
When you say "actuator" do you mean the stop solenoid with the connection wire in the top?
Since you have already started the car I don't think your problem is to get those bubbles out. You probably have a leak somewhere in the system that is letting in air. Make sure your return pipes are original bmw parts and all the other lines are correctly installed. To get trapped air out, you simply switch to starting position without starting the car. Do this a few times. In your case, i don't think it's a problem of trapped air. You probably have a leak.
I have visible air in my return pipes as I replaced them and it causes the engine to jerk with air trapped, any idea how to get it out?thank you
The culprit was the diesel pump. Pull the actuator out, cleaned it and put it back. It ran great afterwards. I recommend cleaning that part of the diesel pump if you think you have an idling problem. Make sure symptoms are the same. Ash
be careful when your buying parts.I'm not 100% but the intake on a TDS is black yours is grey that means you have the TD model(the older one with 116hp),problem is common and it's the injection pump, you have to replace it or recalibrate(there are 4 screws on top of the pump holding a square cap,you need to unscrew them in gently tap it with a tiny hammer, but dont try it cuz you will mess it up)...
"putain c'est ken block" hahahaha
Solved yet? My car sounds like that :S
@ash4200 yes it would appear so!
@WisdomeSage1989 He seemed worried about something gone wrong on his fiesta.
Serious face for ken in this one!
@KinetikPlayground Haha! Well said. But I couldn't help it, could I?
Like a baws !
luft vom dieselfilter zur einspritzpumpe ist das problem!
diesel - kle kle kle kle kle kle kle..... :D
PUMP is the problem
@kukubi55 Je l'ai pas mis en ligne parce qu'elle était bien faite. Juste pour avoir de l'aide. D'ailleurs t'aurais pu te passer au lieu de commenter sur une video que tu trouve pourri!!!
the farrari just cruzin tho?!?!
It's completely stock 2010 Renault Master.
@ash4200 Thanks mate... Will try my best. :)
@Zemjang Check the following link: vwcity.fr/redaction/article-aide-mecanique-8.html It contains a comprehensive list of instructions about how to take it off, clean it and then put it back. There are enough photos for you to recognize the idler. It's the top part of the diesel injection pump, the head.
@ash4200: Hi mate, can you just make a pic of the idler you taken off please? So I can recognise what to open. Many thanks bud. My email is hardzemi@centrum.cz ... Cheers
@zamouri1961 attention! Before opening the head of the pump, make sure you note the position of the head on the pump. The position of the head on the pump determines engine idling and it's quite sensitive. On reinstallation you will have to put it back right where it was before.
@zamouri1961 It's a simple manipulation. You have to first order the gasket from either bmw or other dieselists. It usually comes with the rest of the gaskets necessary for injection pump repair. As soon as you got the gasket, open the top head of the pump. For this you will probably need an special tool, because one of the four bolts has got a three sided head. I have the tool if you want it, you can just get in touch.
its about to die soon...let it go man
NOOOO!
y aircon on and blower on full heat on
lol it should be like 600-650 rpm
thanks for the input, mate. I have fixed it. It was the diesel pump. I went to the BMW garage who wanted to charge me around 2000E for installation of another Diesel pump. But, I couldn't afford it so just opened the idler which is located at the top part of the diesel pump, cleaned it and reinstalled it. Now it has been almost one year since it runs great.
also your idle is to high for a 6 pot engine it should be around 650 rpm
Mine is 800rpm with the M51 engine.. how do you change the rpm in a Diesel engine?
(ups... A 10 years old comment..)
hi there im a bmw technition this could be a number of things causing this you need the really check your your return pipes from your injectors under the engine cover if they are split then you will be leaking fuel and sucking in air 9 times out of 10 this is the case but also check your fuel pump
haha besho is best sh4200 is best :D
Too high idle RPMs?
You guys are adorable...lol...that is how you comment an afghan star or at least a fellow who tries to do his best. Embarrassement for afghans!
Oiy roots! 100 years ago there was no official afghanistan, so where would you have rooted yourself back then? Anyway, what are you on about? Do you think tabla wa armunia with sitar is your roots? or Jazz and other stuff Ahmad Zahir used to play are your roots? You need to think abit deeper and wider before opening your afghani mouth!
I know what is happening. I had also an e36 like this one, but it had manual gearbox. The whole thing is from injection pomp. You must check the pomp.
They're still rougher then the M-sport struts it had but noticeably softer then new. Guess they are ok then. I have a 2001 bmw 740iA sport. For a 4200Ib pound vehicle it turns extremely well :P. I find it turns better then my moms 03 suzuki aerio now.
There is a break in period, up to a point. You very well could have blown the struts, depending on how hard you drove it. An easy way to tell is if you go out and press on your hood, press it down, then let go. If it returns to normal height, then they're good, if it "bounces" then they need to be looked at. The springs should be fine, unless you've noticed the ride height sagging. Performance springs/struts are suppose to ride a little rougher.
:o I got a question for you then xD. I installed 4 bilstein struts and eibach springs on my car in august. It rode really hard for like 1 1/2 months but suddenly got super smooth. Is that normal? I'm just asking cuz I'm scared I might have messed it up some how xP. I just hope that there was just a breaking in point and not me somehow blowing the new struts.
Diesels are compression ignition (or DI) engines. meaning the pressure created during the compression stroke, raises the temp of the air in the cylinder past flash point of the diesel fuel that it's mixed with. Rather than using a spark plug to ignite it (they don't have one at all). But the same basic principals apply. I am a mechanic by the way lol.
lol I have to agree with you on that one. All kidding aside.. might be a little late but have you tried to get a vacuum check on it. I'm no mechanic but how I understand it. Diesels depend on very high pressure to ignite the fuel instead of spark. If the pressure is too low they run like crap because it isn't able to ignite the fuel effectively. idk why but I like the sound of diesels :P. My dad used to own a peugeot turbo diesel. It was a nice car but it became impossible to maintain in the US
