Basic Lace Scarf
This is a 1-row pattern and is reversible. Just got to control your tension really well as the k2tog stitch can get a little tricky if your tension is too tight.

This is a super easy 1-row pattern that is immensely engaging as well! I've added 2 extra stitches for the selvedge edges. Pattern from: www.yarnharlot.ca/blog/archives/2006/10/12/one_row_handspun_scarf.html

Simply add 2 extra stitches to achieve neat edges along both sides of your knitted scarf!
So beautiful, I'm making a scarf now following your video.. the edges are great and I decided to use them in every scarf I make. the instructions are so clear too ❤ Thank you so much
Lovely pattern 🙌 I’ve been making these scarves for years. It’s a Stephanie Pearl-McPhee pattern.
Bonjour Madame. Quel dommage, vous ne montrez pas le début de votre ouvrage, vous ne donnez pas non plus les explications en français, par écrit.
“Not knit through the back loop,” (incorrect as this implies there is a front and back loop), but “knit through the back OF THE loop” because there is only one loop. My apologies, but the knitter/narrator is not a native speaker of English and does not understand the above use of English. I hope this helps everyone. Thank you!
Geez. Every knitting book, every video, and every pattern I’ve seen since I’ve been knitting references this stitch as “knit through the back loop” (ktbl). It’s standard knitting shorthand and has nothing to do with anyone’s English skills (Shame on you! And no, pointing this out was not helpful). She demonstrated it beautifully. Of course it’s not proper grammar, it’s shorthand and I’m pretty sure she didn’t invent it. Lighten up. It’s knitting.
How do I knit this in a round? I tried but think I'm making the mistake all the time but couldn't figure it out
How do you start it from the bottom after your cast on? Do you start working in patten as the first row?
So beautiful
Can someone tell me the name of the stitch please
Beautiful colour for a scarf🎉❤
Mam please tell me which woollen type you used for this if its available in online send me link also
(4/6/23) Thank you! This is a lovely improvement to our edges. 🧶🌻
(4/6/23) Thank you from a very beginning Knitter. I've been practicing on the C2C dishcloth, but I think I’m ready for this scarf. (I’m coming from Crochet, so I do hold my yarn Continental style.) You have a pleasant voice and clear instruction. I will look for more of your videos. 🌻🧶
Thank you so much ❣️
Can teach the 2nd row?
It says it is one row repeat, second row is the same
Thank you for this tutorial! 😻 I love this pattern and now i can do it with confidence! And I'm making a scarf for my bestie using this pattern, hope he'll like it ❤️ thank you ❤️

On my chanal
Hi I just recently did this
3:12 for continental knitters
Made this except these stitches did not come out the same S your own. I watched you many times yet not the same results as your own stitches. This is very beautiful thank you for sharing.
Beautiful
Your yarn-over in continental style is not standard way we the continental knitters usually do. When we yarn-over normally we just slip under the working yarn on the left over to the right needle and hold the yarn with a index finger before we knit two together next. It’s a seamless easy and simple motion. But your way is so complicated. That’s not how most of us do it. And I live in a country no one does English style knitting..
👍😍❤️❤️
Nice tutorial.i was thinking of using this pattern for a poncho.🧶

What size needles do I use
I've loved this pattern for years. If you use variegated yarn it frequently pools and is great for making square or rectangular motifs to join together later for an afghan.
What do you mean by saying variegated yarns pool? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?
