Is the cast process supported by vacuum? What material is used to seal hot plaster please?
The hot plaster is contained within flask [stainless steel] and the flask interfaces with high temperature gasket [silicone] between the flask and the vacuum trap [mild steel] . The vacuum trap is a separate air chamber that allows vacuum to flow, but prevents molten metal (in case of leak or blow out) from being pulled into the vacuum pump itself.
Do you use any centrifugation process to make the aluminium fill al the mold?
i know by now you probably dont care, but you can patch those holes up with an aluminum brazing rod from a hardware store quite easily.
Looks like too much cooling of the filament or not enough heat.
