A very basic test with a 5000 ltr (1320 gallon) test tank filled with salt ice and fresh water. Tank temperature 5 to 6 degree Celsius (42 F). Water pump flowing 4 lpm (1 gpm) at 1.17 bar (17 psi) into a heat exchanger device and out through a nozzle then a shower head. Power consumption the equivalent of 80 to 100lpm (21 to 26 gpm) at 200 bar (3000 psi) hydraulic input from ROV tooling supply....

Plasma 12 strand rope being cut with Vortex Multi Cutter and custom made blade. Rope is 4 1/2 inch diameter with 100 T minimum tensile strength. Tool available for rental or purchase through Ashtead Technolgy world wide.

Vortex Multi Cutter test cut with 5.7 inch OD, 3 inch ID flex line operating at 200bar and 80lpm. Minimum hydraulic input needed is 172 bar, (2500psi) and 50lpm.

Vortex Multi Cutter trials with 40 mPa Grout / concrete filled 4 inch PVC hose and 4 core hydraulic hose using 400mm diamond blade.

Very basic testing of new funnel design on VORTEX Marine Guardian oil absorption tool. The new (shiny) funnel is steeper and works better at pulling in the oil as the old design was sand blasted and had too much surface tension and the oil would stick to it. Oil is EP90 going into single Marine Guardian filter.
