These are my personal experiences with firearms. Here you will view premium, quality, sustainable gun (and sometimes gear) reviews that are a bit different than others and, hopefully, somewhat entertaining. I prefer to tell a story, a documentary of sorts, and I hope that you enjoy what I am doing and keep coming back.

While they might not be ideal for everyday carry, they work great when you need a belt-free solution. While it’s a good and valuable information, the AI voiceovers are pretty terrible. Absolutely soulless and disengaging. I liked the video for the subject nonetheless.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I totally agree with you regarding the AI voice-over. This was one of my very early attempts and producing a review video; I was not comfortable with using my own voice until later video reviews. I will be producing another video with my voice in the future - after I am able to take the 1849 to the range. Now, I only use Ai voices for quotes and such to distinguish what a manufacturer states, and my own voice for the remainder of stuff. I was trying to get Sam Elliot to narrate, but he was busy and didn't answer my e-mails. Such is life (heavy sigh!)😁
Beautiful pistol. I’m currently considering this vs a Sig Nitron 1911. Both around the same price at my local gun shop. Going back and forth. Do you have any preference between the two manufacturers?
Thanks for watching and for your question. I believe that one or both would serve you well. The Sig Nitron, of course, has an accessory rail on all their models. This "E" series pistol does not, but the SW1911TA E-SERIES TACTICAL ACCESSORY RAIL is available should you prefer a rail. The "E" series is not optic ready; whereas, the Nitron (with the exception of the 1911 STAINLESS CALIFORNIA model) is optic ready with an optics plate. As far as finish and aesthetics, I am a stainless-steel guy. The Nitron finish is nice, and seems to hold up well (at least on my other SIG pistols), but if a 1911 is stainless-steel, hiding that beautiful steel finish doesn't appeal to me. You might think differently - and that's alright. Both have external extractors. I have not experienced any issues with external extractors and I have no issue with them. The slide sculpturing on the "E" series is unique to the 1911, works for manipulating the slide, but other than those things has little to do with performance - but does look great aesthetically. Offhand, if you are leaning toward utility over appearance, the Sig Nitron might be your preference. The "E" series, since it is not optic or accessory ready, may be a put-off, but don't put it off for lack of performance; it has plenty of performance to offer. I do not own, but have shot the Sig EMPEROR SCORPION. It is an excellent shooting 1911 (at least the one that I shot was). Good luck in deciding! Let me know of which of the two you decide.😁
Beautiful revolvers Range Ronin, I like the burnt look on the Uberti. Excellent presentation!
Thank you very much. I appreciate you being here!😁
@RangeRoninChronicles me too 🤣
Excellent presentation of these fine revolvers.😊😊😊
I appreciate your coming aboard to watch and comment.
👍👍🇺🇸
I appreciate you, I really do! 😁
All shots, seven rounds?🤔
Thanks for taking the time to watch and and for your question. The RP63 is a 6-shot revolver.
I thought they came with the Elliason rear sight? Looks like your son had the firing pin replaced at some point.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I believe you are correct about the rear sight. The gun was purchased from an estate sale; my Son-in-Law has not made any changes.
Nice shooter,,,,You shoot it very well,,,,nice way to start the year, I just got home from getting a new knee, it was needed very badly, glad it’s done..
Good that you got through the knee surgery. You will soon be playing pickle-ball with the best of them😁. Now, you will be able to get to the range. I am heading there myself today to check out another handgun. Take care and we will see each other later.
That one image with the bad flag always bugs me, ha. But it's an oldie.
Happy New Year, Great clip, be well
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate that. May 2025 be a great year for you and yours!
Thanks for the useful ideas.
You are welcome. And thank for watching a commenting.
A shoulder holster is another option. Simple Doc Holiday style can be thrown on very quickly.
Thanks for watching and commenting. You are correct, a shoulder holster system is an excellent option for short term or long-term carry. The purpose of this video was to introduce an option that most folks don't think about - at least I don't think they do. Massad Ayoob has produced a good video on shoulder holster carry, which I highly recommend the viewing of (th-cam.com/video/nD9tNKG2AY0/w-d-xo.html). This video is just my take on belly bands and to introduce food for thought regarding them.
have you looked at the bbr 3.10?
Thanks for stopping by and for your question. No, I have not - in either .45 ACP or 9mm. If I can get my hands on a BBR 3.10 45ACP, 10rd, I will surely provide a review of it.
great review.
Thank you. I appreciate your being here and commenting.
that was my first handgun i bought in 1984. it has since has been joined by the other 2 sixes.
Thanks for stopping in and commenting. I appreciate both. I am glad that you have hung on to it all of these years and added to the collection. It's hard to beat these old Ruger revolvers.
From the video it looks very snappy in your hands?
Thanks for watching and commenting. It was a little snappy. The grip was a little bit small in my hands and that does not help me with control. It did shoot pretty good though. Note also that I did not have my hand fully at the top of the grip, and that does make a difference. If this were mine, I would have the largest grip adapter installed to force my hand higher on the grip.
A J-Frame revolver is a great little weapon. Gotta hand it to you for putting those 357s where they needed to go! Happy 2025!
Thanks for watching and commenting. It is a challenge firing these J-frames. If it wasn't for the wrist brace that I wear when shooting them, the shooting .357 magnum portion of the range days would be five or six rounds shorter. I guess that my T-level has dropped off some with age.😁 And a Happy 2025 to you and yours!
I’ve enjoyed your reviews. Can’t wait to see what’s coming in 2025.🎉🎉
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Hopefully, I can bring some "knock-your-socks-off" reviews. They will be different from other reviewers products, and I can only hope that I won't scare anyone away.😁
Awesome! The brother to the model 60... A good way to start the new year. 🙂
Happy to have you here again! While I do enjoy some Taurus "wanna makes" of revolvers, nothing beats a good Smith & Wesson.😁
Nice to see you jumped right into the new year with a video,,,,,,,I feel your pain,,,,I shot a J frame once with 357,,,,have no desire to do it again….38’s are just fine…
I hope you did not imbibe too much for the New Year celebration. Fireworks from the neighbors (and others) kept me awake when I wanted sleep. So I just go up and worked on another video until things settle down. Family pets did not like the commotion either, not do they like Independence Day celebration around here. Something to be said about country living, which I am not doing. Ayup! These little j-frame revolvers can take their toll on the hand with felt recoil. Good old 158-grain LSWCHP in standard velocity flavoring would be my carry load for most small revolvers (and some larger one's as well).😁
@ no quiet night here, only a few fireworks , too bad you had to deal with it,,,
Stuck between the 30s or the gen 5 30
Thanks for watching and commenting. It's a hard decision, for sure. The GEN5 does have updated features. If you don't like a finger-grooved grip, go with the GEN5. I can live with them or without them. The G30S is lighter in weight but has a heavier trigger pull (not that it is that noticeable). The GEN5 has an ambidextrous slide release, whereas, the G30S does not. The GEN5 has the GMB (Glock Marksman Barrel), but when it comes down to it, accuracy is in the hands of the beholder. It really depends on what features you want. Either one would serve you well.
@ thanks Ronin!
@@gregorygingras6134 You are very welcome. Hoped that I helped and not add more confusion.
@@RangeRoninChronicles sure did, think I just needs to get hands on both to make a decision
Happy Pew Year!
Happy New Year 🎊
I have a S&W Model 66-2 with a 6" barrel, beautiful gun, carried it on duty back in the 80's, before everyone went to the semi-automatics. It sure got everyone's attention when you pulled it out. Glory days!
Thanks for being here and commenting. They were, and still are, excellent revolvers.
Thanks for all the videos, I have learned a great deal. Looking for to the new year, I need to get to the range more. Better effort ahead. Happy New Year to you. God bless
Thanks for tuning in and supporting the channel. I go to the range at least once a week, but having this channel kinda dictates that I do. Group therapy is always good for the soul. Happy New Year and may your new year be a blessed one.
Met you today at the range, thanks for the business card and cool channel. Hopefully I'll run into you again.
It was good to meet you as well. I hope you can take part in this madness of mine. Hopefully, we see each other at the range again!😁
Thanks for a great year of informative and educational videos, please continue into 2025! Happy New Year!

You have a Happy PEW PEW Year yourself and yours. Thanks for your support and contributions. See ya' next year!
Thanks to you! God Bless.
No sir, thank you for taking part in this madness of mine.
Wow, you’ve been very busy producing videos, all are great! I’m in a State where we can only use 10 round magazines, but I don’t find it an issue , Thanks for you great work! Happy New Year!
Thanks for being with me once again. It's been an "end of the year" push to post some of the videos I had in the can but hadn't made public. After the first of the year, the pace slackens a bit. Check back later for an "end of the year" message to everyone. In most cases, ten rounds (+1) will take care of business for us common folks. I read somewhere that for the M1911, military troopers carried 4 spare magazines as the basic load-out. At least with the Beretta M9 there was more capacity. It was once said that since 5-rounds of 9mm equaled one round of .45 ACP; the increased capacity was needed, given the ballistics of both rounds. Somehow, I think that there was some credence in that, at least at that time.🤔
👍👍🇺🇸
Thank you. Stay tuned, as there will be a final 2024 message coming out later today. To end the year, I am heading to the range today to film a range segment for an upcoming review. Range time - the best way that I know of to end a year.😁
This is my favorite revolver, I had a blast watching this video. 😁
I appreciate you stopping in and commenting. Of the Vaqueros that I have handled and fired, this one was my favorite.
Very nice looking 1911, I like the slide cuts and grips.
Thanks. Happy to hear from you again. The slide sculpturing was the only reason I bought this 1911...Just kidding. I will say, though, it's almost too pretty a 1911 to carry, although a bad guy might be more impressed with that large hole in the barrel.
@ true, very nice , my Son bought one a few years ago, barrel bushing was so tight, we sent it back to S&W twice but they never really make it easier to work on so he traded it off,,,

Good morning, my friend. Happy to see you here again!😁
I’ve considered buying this exact model as an EDC several times, but have never followed through. I may have to re-visit it. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching and commenting. You would probably like this one.
Have you thought about replacing the hammer with the old vaquero or super bh version?
Thanks for watching and for your question. I'll pass on your question to my Son-in-Law, as this is his revolver. For myself, I have a tendency, with firearms at least, to leave things the way they are and work with them. If this were mine, I would not mind a "Bisley" style hammer - low for easier thumbing into the full-cock position.
Hello to you Sir Ronin, Very nice pistol, I like the CZ Model, thank you again for your reviews they are very informative. Be well
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate both. Early CZ pistols are among my favorites. I do like some of the newer ones, but I am still an old school person.
Great gun, very solid shooter! Happy New Year!
Thanks for watching once again. It is a good shooter. Too bad it did not stay around for long. Interesting story - the XDe was introduced at the S.H.O.T show the same year that Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms voiced agreement with the Gun Dealer Licensing Act in Illinois and Illinois Firearms Manufacturers Association. They paid for lobbying on this whole thing to try to keep any other manufacturers from legally being able to operate in the state. When they were caught doing this, they claimed not to know anything about it, and they have not recanted that story. Neither the CEO who funneled money to the initiative or the lawyer/lobbyist who made the payments for this favor were ever held to account and fired for the scheme. That is why many boycott Springfield Armory.
@ that too bad, I really like their guns
@@Bill-jv5eg I have not boycotted SA. The way I feel about it is that I am supporting a company that sells their products (like small businesses, especially), and not supporting the company directly. But, I do realize that I am indirectly supporting the manufacturer. I have never had an issue with a SA product. If I did have an issue, I expect them to rectify that issue. That's all I can ask out of any business, regardless of the product. Buy a firearm manufactured in Turkey (Tisas, Grisan)? I don't have a problem with that. The problem is not with the people trying to make a living, it's with the oppressive government. We used to be owned by the British, but we took care of that, and many times with their own firearms. Now, we are owned by China, Germany, and Mexico. Free Trade is different from Fair Trade. Don't get me started!😁
@ I think you are already started😂😂😂😂😂. The last few handgun I’ve have had some issues , but after being return from the manufacture they seem better or I use my gunsmith, my issue is why are these picked up during quality checks be for being shipped to distributor’s . S&W seems to have more issues. My SA gun had no issues! Elven my Colt Python required being shipped back for service….not a cheap revolver. Oh well sometimes we need to vent! Stay healthy , my knee is being replaced next week, can’t wait, sick of being home bound.
@@Bill-jv5eg I think that we, as consumers, are actually "beta" testers. Firearm manufactures are nor different from many others - get the product to the market as quickly as possible. The customer will tell us of any problems. The issue with firearms, and with some other products, is that issues can sometimes be life or limb threatening. The SIg P320 issues for example, or the Remington 700 bolt-action rifle safety issue. Consumer Reports at least was a middleman (of sorts) between the manufacturer and the customer. They were very useful at times for viewing reports regarding automobile-related products, home related products, etc. There is also Gunsumer Reports for firearm-related products. But, and for the most part, we the consumer take the chance regardless of what we watch, read, or hear about a firearm to purchase a firearm, thus resulting in our being a guinea pig for the industry. Sometimes things work out in our favor, sometime things don't work out in our favor. Such is the game we play. Anyway, best wishes on getting that knee replacement. I agree with you, immobility sucks!
👍👍🇺🇸
