Thanks mate - have tried this rec709A a few times but I have found that by changing the colour space to Mac preferred it makes the footage on the TL look worse (less contrast and skewed colours) - It does export out the same as what you see in project however the colours don’t look as nice as when I’m in normal rec709/gamma 2.4 Could I be missing something?

@@vincentcolorfilm Of course, after applying on slog your lut Rec709 and second color lut, don't need to correct much, because it looks great, but sometimes a small correction is needed.

Can someone explain to me the reasoning for the slo mo kind of motion blur low shutter shots? I see this artistic technique used a fair amount in filmmaking. I am a beginner photographer so I don't know if it is one of those situations with the battle between film vs digital which in the beginning I was so perplexed as to why shoot film (now I fully understand why). But I don't understand this filmmaking technique yet like is it done in post or by using a high frame rate and low shutter? It just kind of feels janky to me especially when mixed inbetween high quality cinematographic shots
Low shutter speed + low framerate shots often used to convey something that is dreamlike, a flashback, etc. As for its use in this video, I'd personally agree with you in the fact that it breaks the flow otherwise present between the shots. Definitely preference/creative liberty.
