This is fantastic watch. It’s a hell of an adventure and set to great music. I watched from the safety of a camper van in the snowy Japanese Alps feeling much less adventurous than when we parked up.

O come on man ,I actually free soloed that back in 1978 with a home made flying squirrel suit and BASE jumped off the top in the squirrel suit and landed on a wave in the Pacific Ocean and body surfed or squirrel suit surfed back to Patagonia! Then hitch hiked back to the US! But I didn’t tell anyone. True story.🤙

@colinhaley131 first off, like many others I love the video. I read the blog that went along with it, and had a question about your rope solo technique that I haven’t been able to answer. It looks like you are clove hitching your anchors then dropping cached loops. I am a novice, but it seems to me like you would be risking a factor 2 fall. I’m sure I’m missing something, and am really curious what it is. Would you be willing to elaborate?

Met him, Colin is one of those pretty good athletes who thinks he needs to punch down at people. There are better athletes who are also incredible people, and for that reason Colin will mostly be forgotten once he can't keep up with the next generation.
