Scylla is one of my favorite more obscure greek monsters, it's great to see the serpentine necks and the wolf heads shown the proper terror they deserve.

Love love LOVE the idea of the dog smelling the blood at the end being Cerberus. He alerts his master Hades, who mentions it to his brother Zeus in passing. Zeus decides to look into it. He wtches what happens at Scylla's lair and what came next. Decided to test Odysseus to see if there was any good left in him, already expecting the answer.

I absolutely love everything about the way you portray a monstrous Odysseus and I would love to see your take on the killing of the suitors. You made the sirens look so pitiable. Sure, Ody has changed. Alot. But I don't think anyone can blame him. He lost his best friend. He's been away from his wife and son for so long. He's made enemies with Gods. I wouldn't feel bad for the sirens because now they understand how their prey feel dying. "Take from you like you took from me" - Polyphemus.

Why do I think this was a form of punishment from the Fates for Ody, by abandoning his heroic qualities and kindness with what he had done with the Sirens he was to see his surviving crew betray him and then see what was left of his friends get killed by Zeus

I was, initially, unimpressed. The line work is amazing and the character design and animation is top-tier but, for suffering, Odysseus felt somewhat flat. Wooden, almost. However, when the song switches into different beast, this becomes more relevant. The way the lighting changes, the violent shift into red, is a prime example of simplicity at its finest. Relying more on the stellar line-work and design rather than overly saturated colours to drive home each point of the song. This is also, I think, the first example I've seen where the animation so beautifully painted the sirens as victims rather than murderers. They are, of course, murderous. But the sirens needed to eat to survive. There was never anything personal in it and this feels raw and personal here with Odysseus - you can see it reflected in the wary, uncertain glances of his crew as they carry out his orders. In the horrified screaming visages of the sirens as they try, desperately, to reach for each other. For their friends and family...as we see that shadowed echo of Odysseus in their eyes, in the same jet black as the sirens with red eyes and a spiked, thorny countenance. Odysseus isn't just wooden. He's cold, calculating and violent as he acts upon the tumultuous, bestial wrath festering in himself. This isn't a battle, this isn't the war that Athena trained him for, no mud-drenched glory born of the charnel house of Ares' own chaos. This is a bloodbath. A slaughter. This is RUTHLESSNESS...with no mercy for anyone, especially not himself.

She likes dogs, so... that's a green flag I guess.
