Four Wheel Camper Snow Camping and Day 2 of Riding Summit 850

Temps got down into the low teens. Winds were upward of 40mph. The camper did awesome and we stayed warm and comfortable. Snow conditions were not great with about 8" of fresh over 2 inches of ice. #fourwheelcamper #skidoo #camperlife #camperlife #ram2500cummins #ram2500
SKI-DOO Summit 850 Turbo vs Non Turbo v2
มุมมอง 50K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Comparing a 2019 Summit 850 with a 165x3 inch track to a new 2022 Summit 850 Turbo 165x3. Yes, I'm poaching tracks. It was just me riding between the two and I was doing laps trying to break out the top. This is not intended to be a fresh tracks run-off comparison. Music by Epidemic Sound

SUPER AIR NAUTIQUE G23 - Lake Billy Chinook
I put 2 x 91lb Rad bikes with accessories on a rear Kuat rack with no issues. Could put a bit more if the roads are not too bumpy. Pricey but super well built.
100lb per tray? My e ride weighs 140lbs. Are you not way over capacity especially with 2?
All he needs to do is weld on some gussets in the corners
lucky this guy is not in deep powder.
Is this divorce beach?
Honeymoon....
Oops forgot to mention, CO to FL
How about some details. Distances, fuel stops, time/days. I’m planning a trip to Florida in September in my 505. This information would be helpful.
I love that color. I have visions doing something like that with Lambo Blue and the lambo green with a light gunmetal gray accent lines.
What was the route that was taken? That is some awesome scenery and what was that fly in resort?
Gateway Canyons in Colorado
Great vid man i love Powder ive been riding the summit-800
best sled ever??
Epic vid!! What month was this?
вот в таких случаях преимущество снегохода с одной лыжой
Lol great video!
Come on with the editing man..
He definitely makes it look easy, but it happens to the best of us. Long as you're out there learning how to get unstuck, you will learn how to not get stuck. It is the way of the snowmobile. 8:51 🤣
Ahaha
How stupid twice on that same content.
Wish you did a side by side fresh line with each sled
Im thinking to pick up this sled, riding 2011 Summit 800r e-tec at the moment, big difference compared to old ones?
Excellent video!
Thank you! Cheers!
Круто!
Its because they have it in their heads that a turbo sled is way better when all it is, is a keep up with the next guy and who can say they have the next greatest sled when in reality years back we were riding and doing the same things with older sleds and shorter tracks
Yeah that’s why there’s all those old videos out there of people doing bow ties, hop overs, and technical boondocking. “bEcAusE wE diD tHe saMe tHinGS.”
@@downbytheriver501 no kidding lol. Most of modern riding is physically impossible on these “older sleds with shorter tracks”
@@kjmahanna5138 yep. Just got my turbo sled last week and got to try it out this weekend for the first time. Coming from 2 gen 4 summit which were awesome, along with the gen 3 I had before that. I didn’t think I was good enough at the time to warrant more power, so I progressed my skills to the point where I hit a plateau and now, finally, after about a decade of riding modern sleds in the back country, found myself craving more power because the altitude inhibited my abilities. The new turbo sled is worlds better than the old sled; I can perform techniques that were very difficult before at high altitude, and with the shorter tunnel it aids in maneuvering as well. People like Kevin are delusional if they think they can access the same terrain I do with even an NA sled.
I dont know about doing the same things but I was having just as much fun. Maybe more. Loved my 151. Might be time to go back to a 154.
Music sucks
Great scenery! Looks like you had a lot of fun flying the Bell 505 following the river through the canyon.
😂
Thats not a pull I'd poaching most all way up and goin out of the poach track to continue, that naturally give 2nd 3rd etc run more momentum. Not a legit test..
Dude is this Bachelor/Moon Mountain area!??? Extremely entertaining video haha!
I usually can't stand the music people use in these videos but you nailed it.
Them doo’s sure look like they love trees😂🤣
Every doo ive had ive hit a tree with it lol
the "right" way is to turn the back end down hill. very easy becayse you werent dug in. then your out.
If u track poached the non turbo as much as u did w the turbo I think it would have made it to the top too
100%
I know the feeling bro.... just sell it n get the turbo
I think that is utter nonsense. The NA had seven pulls and each time right in its same track for 90% of the pull. The turbo didn’t get into the track until at least half way up and made it in less than half the pulls. Granted the track gets set up better each time but if you think the difference between an NA and a turbo is track poaching, I have to strongly disagree. I just went turbo this year and there is no comparison. 2023 turbo Carries 180 hp to 8,000 feet. At that altitude I believe the NA has 125 hp. No comparison.
Too awesome, now I want a helicopter too.
The best cardio EVER is digging out a sled
lol you aint muskoka either
This is dumb. Had a perfect chance for a comparison instead you rob tracks from the past 7 pulls
woah
Yeah!
those climbs are sketchy due to the open area, possibilities of avalanches are pretty good there take the precautions
Eh, open area doesn't help with avalanches but just because its open doesn't mean its avalanche-prone... if you know an area well enough you know whats avalanche prone and what isn't... I wouldn't call this a sketchy spot compared to some of the shit I've ridden
What is the best sled setup for Cascade Concrete?
Any of the new mountain sleds are good. We prefer Ski-Doo and Polaris in our groups. Reliable performance.
How did the FWC work all winter? Thinking of buying one to use for snowmobiling.
We've used ours way more than we thought. The downside is no good shower or bathroom options. However, it's always on the truck, ready to go. That's worth a lot.
Needs all motor no music.
Sorry about the music. There is hardly anything out there. New turbo sounds coming soon.
You got to cut a new track everytime
Yeah, I was not filming for a comparison, just trying to get to the top. Then my buddy said..."Wanna ride my turbo?" What would you do?
exactly, I could ride my old 90's RMK up those tracks lol
Where was this?
Oregon
"nice hit?"
Did you ever find some "snow" Girl and let the sled give you a ride????
Pir Corococor
Where was the Snow landings?
Is that last hole from when the Lady was stuck??
Were you two married "Fir" awhile??
In the old days we used to lift the skidoo front over and then lift the back end over just to get out of a hole. Are the new machines that heavy?
no they are lighter if anything
is about 500lbs heavier?
Poaching tracks don't count
