Garden vlog: IBC wicking beds round 2
มุมมอง 269หลายเดือนก่อน
Join my disembodied left arm as it thinks out loud on the topic of IBC wicking beds while I do all the hard work in order to grow more food in the coming spring season.
Garden vlog: Wicking bed new beginnings
มุมมอง 463 หลายเดือนก่อน
Turning the old IBC into a new wicking bed. A good bit of extra growing space here which will be put to good use come spring time. Also I referred to the two bags of poultry manure mix as cow manure...whoops 😣
EJ20 swap part 9: The final finale
มุมมอง 1184 หลายเดือนก่อน
Tuned and drivable at long last! It's done!....except for the A/C and too fast idle 😵 The PCV is sticky and the IACV is inconsistent but easy enough to fix. The second round of dyno tuning was mostly un-eventful except for the brand new ignition coil completely dying half way through. Thanks for coming along on this long winded trouble-prone adventure. It was a big learning experience for me bu...
Page up for power!

An eye watering 60kw at the front wheels! Let it be known 27" tyres on an old Subie will sap 40kw from the engine! Still, it torque steers and does burnouts everywhere even with this.
EJ swap part 8: Troublesome tribulations
มุมมอง 1056 หลายเดือนก่อน
Bit of a wordy episode this one, explaining what has happened since the last video and showing a fix for at least one of the problems.
EJ20 swap part 7: Fuel tank fun
มุมมอง 657 หลายเดือนก่อน
Penultimate video in this series. The biggest headache of the conversion, this video spans months of work hence the length. But it is all worth it, I think. For a sizeable capacity increase and a modern fuel pump setup. Next video will have the first start!
EJ20 Swap part 6 - An exhausting process
มุมมอง 778 หลายเดือนก่อน
This one is not in chronological order so the intro makes no sense. One more part to go after this (a long one) and then we're into running in and tuning. Exciting times ahead!
EJ20 swap part 5: Power to the steering
มุมมอง 718 หลายเดือนก่อน
This part details everything I did in order to make the old power steering rack work with the new, remote reservoir EJ pump. Worked out pretty well in the end.

Aftermarket central locking, how to repair
Buster Keaton would have loved this.
Ah...I look so young. And was terrified, I can tell you that, atop that moving train. No stunt men.
This is a very useful video, thank you very much, you are cool explaining your work, only one question remains is whether balancing should be done ?
Great idea cheers !
That moment when Comedy was Comedy.
In the thumbnail he looks like the Fourth Doctor
Did you find out what was the cause in the end?
_"I've come out without an owl about me"_ almost Shakespearian.
Saw this first time round as a teenager and yes, I did fall off my chair laughing!
I think one was Tim Brooke-Taylor.....I think.......Feldman has no peer. Les Griffiths
Very creative. Remember me Louis de Funes...
comic genius with timing, physical and the waiting for the baiting, good form!
First time I ever saw him. Hysterical. Dean Martin summer show I believe.
Genius.
A mate was in the basket throwing feathers and exchanging umberellas but sometimes had to mumble "Go easy Marty" when he started slapping him."
Hello. Schema please

Awesome project. 60KW is more than plenty. Great watch. Well done and enjoy!
page up ! page up ! page up !
Very interesting! From memory, the tip should be spherical with a radius of .005" for 78 RPM. As for damage, in the old days you were supposed to change the steel needles each time you played a record but who did that? Shellac records comprise graphite and slate powder in addition so don't think bamboo will wear that out. Keep up the good work!
These cars would have been mint if they all had constant 4wd with a center locking diff and an engine with 4x the power. Saddens me to think of the time, effort and money dumped into this just for it to make 60kw.
There is an AWD gearbox with center locking diff same vintage as my current box, super rare in Aus though. Power increase wasn't even in my top 3 goals for this project so I'm happy either way.
@@theSam91 yeah the awd box should have been standard across the range instead of just being on the gl-10s/ xt's and as long as your truly happy that's all that matters, clean build as always mate
hope this is an old video of the ea, if this is the new ej then something must be wrong
Nope, new EJ20. Nothing wrong, just the tyres are too big for it.
@@theSam91 so you did all that work just for it to only make 60kw? im sorry for your loss
Wish i had your skills mate, doing legendary cant wait to see her up n going
Hey sam, just found your channel, youre inspiring me a lot with me and my brumby, curious to how a twin carb goes?
Build out my truck right now. Will be able to carry 10 gallons with 2 units y together. Will have a pump for faucet and shower. Thinking about carrying a extra 10 for really long off grid traveling in groups.
Noddy Holder
Thanks for the detailed video. I’m restoring a Brumby in the UK. Have done many mechanical jobs myself, but this is one for the professionals!
Bird is not amused by your forcefield, human
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH EMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! WHAT a trip!!
why does this video feel like it will just randomly blow up in the future
Legal 😎
Marty had a tv show in the erly 70s i think. It was ,of course, titled The Marty Feldman show. It was fantastic!! Many memorable routines.
Aww how cute
Unusual lack of potato quality on this one.
Впустите птичу, ведь она прекрасна
No such thing as a finish line for cars. But this will be on the road soon enough 👍
Am using the Subaru harness off 2000 Subaru 2.5 in 1986 vw westy that was modified. I get a check engine code p0122 tps low voltage.which is causing high ide 1600 never gos down I replace everything in the engine sensor throttle body went through the harness I’ve been trying to figure this out now for a year .I did buy a haltech 1500 when I started this project but I ended up using Subaru stock harness thinking that it would be nice and smooth but no. I see you are using 750 haltech how difficult was it to wire and the programming. Appreciate any advice you have thanks again Martin from the states.
Not difficult to wire into the stock Subaru engine harness if you know how to crimp and have a factory wiring diagram. Although I did end up re-making the engine harness from scratch but simplified (see part 9) Connectors for everything on the engine are available from iWire in the USA. In regards to programming, I'm a total noob with ECU tuning. I only managed to get it to run, just with the base map. I got it to a dyno session as soon as I could.
Ive had nothing but problems with my power steering lines keeps popping my lines off engine is off a 2000 Subaru Outback in my 1986 vw westy van . It’s not that bad turning the wheels. I was thinking of using my westy power steering but need to modify brackets.
I can't decide whether I want to drink a bottle or wine or dump it down the drain, after seeing how it was made?
cute? quite joking around, its chicken, food have been delivered home
With John Junkin and Tim Brooke Taylor......😁
Yes! Thank you for confirming it for me.
he was so great
Crested pigeons are so cute. So friendly.
