Whether it's in Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland California, to the roaring engines of an F-35 at California's Captial Airshow, a nice stroll through Maui Ocean Center or a roaring Amtrak train. All outdoor and live entertainment is published on this channel.

The UP 4014 "Big Boy" was making its Western Tour into Roseville. This video was captured on W Elverta Road in Northern Sacramento! Behind the locomotive and its tenders is UP 1983 "Western Pacific" Heritage SD70. Enjoy!

This was a trip back in March, I finally was able to post after months of delay. I took CalTrans Capitol Corridor train to San Jose, while switching trains to the Coast Starlight which in turn headed for Los Angeles. CC will give more facts and details on each train. Enjoy!

Amtrak #147 with an Oddly Tuned K5LA on the California Zephyr #5

Amtrak Train 11, the California Zephyr rolled through Truckee on April 27th with an unusual horn from unit 147. P42DC 147 in years past has had a normal K5LA, but from what I originally thought had been changed to a Canadian tuned K5L. The bells on the K5LA resemble similar tuning to the K5L which create a haunting echo through the Sierra Nevada Mountain scape!

Three captures of rail stock traveling up the Sierra Nevada! There is a possibility that Amtrak Unit 147 has a Canadian tuned K5L, due to its distinct sound. Dang amazing scenery, camera work and nice catch! The horn 147 sports is a early-mid 2000’s Narrow Font K5LA or some like to call it the Narrow Font 2, the tunings on these particular models do indeed play a different tune compared to the original standard Narrow Font K5LA we are used to hearing.

Yeah I wasn’t totally sure. I thought maybe it could be an oddball K5LA but it also has similar tuning to the K5L so that’s was I thought it was.

Dumb questions, when was this, and did you catch the number of the cab car?
Not a dumb question at all! This was recorded back in October of '23 and the cab car number appears to be 2308! Great question actually!
Furthermore, this was spotted very close to the Siemens Mobility Manufacturing Plant in Sacramento (at Sacramento State and it was ready to head up on its way to Canada!
