Thank you for the comment and support!!! Getting back to the firstborn thing. I have more or less 150+ models in different states ready for painting or in sprue for my firtborn Crimson Fists army. Resin, metal, plastic… you name it, I have it. Also I have 70-80 plastic models for my Night Lord army. Same story here. I am not a big fan of Primaris. Love the fact that they are much easier to paint but they lack the individuality and coolness for me. This video was a test because in 2025 I want to make a bulk paint job for 50 tactical marines and there will be a video on it.

True and that is what I intentionally thought about. GW changed the definition unfortunately

What I heard was that as you mentioned they were the poster boys at the very beginning but GW thought that they need (and this is a paraphrase) something that would be more visible on any landscape (ultramrines are in their opinion looking good on all types of terrain in photos) and customer friendly to paint. Ultramarine blue is supposedly one of the easiest paints to use. I love my Crimson boys. It is a shame they didn’t get more love.

@@FixusMiniatures Hmmm. That makes sense, but still, its not like Imperial Fists are a "poster boy", but they became the founding legion for the crimson fists, and not the other way around. Ultramarines, especially the older vibrant ones before "grimdark" because a thing, certainly do stand out.

@xyonblade I would love for CF to be a founding chapter separate from Rogal Dorn and Imperial Fists. Even more fun would be having an active Primarchs with them.

@ yes I just got to get him in to the painting bit and we have him for life ! He did say his favorite army/faction was the death korps and they are getting plastic next year so there is a good chance for it. Really good actually I have gotten a new place to work at instead of cleaning a school I basically just make coffee and clean a small kitchen and work like 6 hours a half because there nothing left to do after 14:30 and my boss said I can go home then and I still get paid for 8 hours so life is good 😊

@fredrikjonsson-bj5ru sounds great brother. Really happy you have a light job which is not stressful. It is really important to not wake up and hate the fact that you will have to work that day.

@ yes I actually love my job but I do hate waking up tho I love sleeping lol but my coworker dose make it really fun he is a great guy

No problem. Even now I am painting for a small competition and my Bold Pyrrole Red from PRO ACRYL exploded. Do I have it on video. No. Does it happen? More often than anybody would think. I spoiled more models than I painted correctly before I even started doing it more or less correct. It’s a normal stage of learning.

I am going to be honest. Normally I respond to a comment on the spot but your thoughts added to me sleeping 3 hours yesterday and a boring corporate clerk job had me muster all my cognitive abilities to understand what you meant and I got it. This is a wonderful tip. I really really appreciate it. Those types of feedback are one of the reasons I opened and run this channel. Having such a discussion and sharing your experience and knowledge is wonderful and I encourage to do it more often. You will see me fail and learn at the same time. Probably not. A lot of sources speculate that the next big thing is Noise Marines. Therefore everything Slaanesh related will be updated. But on the other hand when Angron and World Eaters were fresh we also didn’t get any bloodletters. Shame…

@@FixusMiniatures they should definitely do a second pass on the world eaters after slaanesh because they do kinda feel like half an army right now

@kingodin8243 I know but their release schedule makes no sense to me. I understand they have a plan in the whole storyline. Papa Smurf back - primaris marines. Arks of Omen - Vashtorr, Angron, Lion. I want my blue boys to get some GW love. Crimson Fists of course not Ultramarines 😅 but getting back on the Khorne units you are right. As with many other factions. Nothing is complete.

@@FixusMiniatures crimson fists was an OG space marine chapter. I cant believe they havent done anything with them since. What they should do with the new EC release is to split the chaos deamons faction into the 4 different major chaos space marine factions

Thanks a lot for this comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. I am afraid a bit of trying what you mentioned to take the still wet mistake off to not damage any paint under. On the other thing you wrote I really don’t understand why people don’t show their mistakes. I don’t believe they don’t do them from time to time. It would be really cool to see a few videos on what to do if I did this or that. Kind of a “covering mistakes” videos series. Probably a lot of people could benefit from them. Decals… no comment there 🤣🤣🤣 That is why I bought a lot of Crimson Fists firstborn shoulder pads and backpacks with the chapter emblem on them. I will not have to use decals. Thank you. Well… the camera lies a bit. I always take the model and look very closely at it. It doesn’t look the same with close inspections. With such a quick paint job there are a lot of mistakes and hard cut lines. My current goal is line precision. To paint clean. I am really sorry this wasn’t the first thing I learned. For me if you know and can do this you instantly jump from zero to tabletop plus model if you add nice edge highlights.

@@FixusMiniatures 4 hours is to much for me, if I don't finish a mini in a single session (more or less a couple hours usually, unless it's a really big model), it will probably remain unfinished forever 😁

@OddTinyArTV fully understand that friend. I have a little bit more patience for my models but lately the painting sessions stretch for a view days because I have to do a lot unpaid overtime at work just to close some projects. Therefore the videos not being so often for the past few months.

The model is great for some practice. Very open and large areas. He was supposed to get a copper armour. Got a salmony tint instead.

There is always time my friend. If I would t do this YT thing I would probably paint faster and play some games with my Crimson Fists firstborn army that is still waiting to be painted.

@@FixusMiniatures hopefully when I move out and get my own place I plan on getting a dedicated painting room and have like a weekly painting with my friend who has salamanders and to be fair the painting is the most important part it kinda boring playing with unpainted minis

A small kitbash. I explain it a bit more in the longer video I am working on at the moment. This is the sergeant with the metal arm from the Assault Intercessor set. I removed the chainsword left arm and replaced it with a power first from the Imperial Fists Primaris Upgrade sprue. Had to scrape and sand down the Imperial Fists logo. This took a moment but it was worth it. I had in my bits a Salamander shoulder pad. The last thing was a small hammer necklace from the Warhammer Fantasy Flagellants set. Sanded it down a bit to make it flatter and glued on this thing (don’t know the name of it) that he has between his shoulder and right arm. Those were all the changes here. The rest is from the Intercessor set.

@@FixusMiniatures amazing, dude. Reason I ask is bc I’m actually painting up assault intercessors right now. A sergeant actually. Saw the similarities but loved the differences. Keeping your method in the memory bank for the future!

Thank you. The model looked rather simple so I wanted to add an eye distracter. Therefore the plasma glow and the power fist effect.

I finished the model a few hours ago and wanted to do a proper short but hd videos upload to iCloud sooooo long…. Especially when they are 4K. Their size is crazy. I was thinking on changing the format of the videos but hadn’t decided yet. It takes me 2-3 afternoons to make one like the last one. Getting back to your question the full video and a proper short should be out next week.

Thanks RD. just remember to use spray can primers. It really cost me a lot of stress to see the paint fall off. How are you brother by the way?

True. The old metal Mephiston is the first or second model I have ever painted. Got so many good memories related to him and reading about BA.

@@FixusMiniatures old BA were actually cool to read and has good model, nowadays, its just getting bland for the books and especially the new blood anglees model review, that was DISASTROUS

@theguywhogotdonuted1136 I don’t disagree. I just think we can change their mind but not buying the models that we don’t like. A lot of people were saying that the new BA range is awful. They are flying of the shelves in Poland. Dante is impossible to find. For me that means that people like although I think they are a step back. A big one.

@@FixusMiniatures a tip i would give is to prime your mini and put it under a light source, see where the light reflects and try to replicate that

Perfect. Love that people have different points of view on those topics but still get united under the Warhammer or maybe it will better said modeling banner. I quite enjoy those old Dawn of War games cause they were my first encounter to the 40k universe and bring back a lot of memories. Cheers to you friend!

Thank you. In my case it was a trick to take the viewers eyes off all of the other things that were rushed and in many cases not finished. OSL is fun but I have no idea how light would work in reality and I try to wing it in one shot. Very often it doesn’t work for me.
