I like that you collect stuff that means something to you rather than collecting stuff that everyone else collects. Like your Niagara. Falls stuff. That means something to you, not necessarily anyone else.
I agree! And thanks! 👍
creeeepy, really creepy
Awesome room! Great collection. Thanks for sharing
@@otakutourguide thank you for watching! 👍
I feel the same way about facsimile issues, hulk 181, asm 129, too expensive, and I'd rather buy a whole bunch of other issues with the money.
Loved the tour of you comic room. Very impressive collection I have to say. 😎
@@TGMForum thanks! 🙌
Amazing collection, wish I had the same haha ! Really enjoyed the video !
@@La-Comics-Cave thank you! 👍
I like that you are a well-rounded collector. You don't hate on things like modern comics, omnibus, store exclusives, or variants. Or grading books. Collect what you love.
Loved this tour- that joker piece is amazing! Thank you for sharing this tour with us!! I don't collect comics; I collect signed rock n' roll memorabilia- so I can appreciate the art of collection, display and preservation! 😊
@hernameispiperconnolly thanks Piper! I'd love to see what's in your collection if you'd like to share! ✌️
Wow! All that stuff looks really expensive 😮
Yeah, it's not a cheap hobby for sure! But I'm trying to take my own advice and budget a little better... 🫤
Just found your channel and subscribed! I really like videos about comic books; reviews, pick-ups, hauls, and any discussing about comic book collecting. I didn't realize DSTLRY had hardcovers; I need to check those out and would be easier for me to store and display on a bookshelf. Thanks for the video!
@MoneyballComics thank you!! I appreciate the kind words and sub! 👍 and yes, the DSTLRY hardcovers are amazing! I'll definitely be adding more to my collection! 🙌
That reminds me of Faust
Willhelm scream love it
Hey, just found you're channel. Watched this vid and your comic book room tour vid. Would be great to see a Death In the Family deep dive. Love the comics my man! Not 100% sure, but I assume you may or may not be Canadian so either way Love from Canada!
@thedllrded1851 thank you! I am from Canada 🇨🇦 😊 Thanks for the kind words, and for sharing your interest in the Death In The Family deep dive. It's on my to-do list! 🙌
👍👍
Nicely laid out 1:46 room and a Great collection! The wife gave me some space in the basement so I could display a few grails and other items! My room is smaller than yours from the looks of things but I think it’s laid out well! Every time I enter the room i think of all those glorious stories adorned by some of the greatest cover art that has transcended the ages and I smile! Continued success in your collecting endeavours!
Thanks! Your room sounds awesome! It's nice to have some space for these things, even if it's a small room... enjoy! 👍
Thanks for taking the time to showing us your beauties of collections. Have a great holiday season coming up.
@@ricard0elias399 my pleasure! Thanks for watching! Happy holidays to you also 🙌
Amazing collection. Thanks for sharing
Very awesome and collection 👍👍
Thank you!
@@comicbookrevival You welcome 🙂
Wonderful room and collection Mark! I bet it was a labour of love putting everything together!
It definitely was, and thank you! 👍
Excellent walls
Very tidy! Nicely laid out. Is that Batman 1 behind you from Folio Society?
@getslostincomics thank you! No, the Batman #1 is a replica comic from the Batman Masterpiece Edition collector's set, which came out in 1999 or 2000.
Facimile rule
That Frankie's Bride drawing is beautiful. Thank you for the tour.
Thanks!! 👍
Love that room and how neat and organized you keep it. You and me have the same likes in regards to comics, movies, figures, etc. I have a comic book room at my household and sometimes I just go down there and let my childhood memories take over. Love it! Thanks for posting this video!
I can relate to your situation as I've experienced something similar due to family and financial constraints. I stopped collecting in the 1990s but resumed in 2010. I have a lot of catching up to do now. I did occasionally visit the comic store over years just to look what's up.
Really well laid out room. Nice!
@@JamesJones-bt1ms thank you! 🙌
Very Nice Collection
Great ideas! But the reasons I say that would take many paragraphs and the reasons I've used them over the years! Despite that, I always end up wanting something else, lol!
Great space with your treasures. Hope you continue to enjoy this hobby. Watching from the UK
Last month I won some Captain Canuck's trades from the comics curing cancer auction, looking forward to reading them! I've been reading, buying and collecting for best part of 60 years, with a two year break, when I sold my first collection in 1984, but by early '87 I started again. The only reason I sold them was to get a deposit on a flat and buy a car! Girls came and went anyway, couldn't use that as an excuse to quit. Love me love my comics. Lol!
@Deadman1957TEB sounds like you have an awesome collection! I kinda regret missing out on collecting during the 90's and early 2000's, but I'm making up for lost time now! 👍
@@comicbookrevival Blatant plug, since July I've been showing some them, whether I live long enough to show them all, is doubtful, lol! @Deadman1957TEB
That's a nice and tidy and well thought out room, with all the replica covers, is that Batman #1 one of them? Loved that Bride of Frankenstein😍 My room tour consisted more of original covers but only a few worth a few bob, lol! Just subbed! Look forward to more!
@@Deadman1957TEB thanks! Yes, the graded Batman is a replica copy from the Masterpiece Collectors Set that came out in 1999. I appreciate your kind words and the sub! 🙌
The design of the room is awesome! From the paint color of the walls, the orderly wall displays, how you grouped everything, the artwork (Frankie’s Girl is kick-ass!), the bookshelf … it all comes together like you are stepping into a small museum. Well done!
@georgestreng thanks! I appreciate the kind words! 🙌
Awesome I like the display shelves nice presentation
@JamesDean-q3w thank you! 🙌
NEEEERRRRDDDDD!! 😂 haha jks great story!! Thanks for sharing! Like n subbed!! Keep up the good work n honesty!!
@@alienboytoys lol... nerd and proud! 👍 thanks for the kind words & sub! 🙌
Awesome collection!
Great tour and collection 😊
@t4mmyt4z51 thanks Tammy! 😊
Amazing collection you have.😀
@@BradleyOh_Art thank you!
I’m looking forward to your future videos. Thanks for starting this channel.
@georgestreng thanks! I appreciate your support! 👍
This is my strategy for buying books. I find an expensive ($100) PC book then I combo that with 20 cheaper books and offer them $90 for the lot. In my eyes I just got paid $10 for 20 books.
Recently, visiting those comic and collectible shops has been my weekly routine. Because I don't care about other people see me anymore, I will read comics and buy some action figures, those are something I've missed in my childhood filled with homework and exams. But now, I don't care anymore as an adult.
Good stuff. Stay positive and have fun collecting.
Great video 👍🏻
@t4mmyt4z51 thank you Tammy! 😊
Hi. The algorithim bought me here (thank you YT gods). Great video and a new sub from me. I'm 45 and been buying and reading for over 35 years. One thing I might add is for people to buy things that they think they will actually read and enjoy. There seems to be a lot of people that purchase purely for investment, I get it, that's not for me, but I do get it. The thing is, if something you buy is purely for investment your appreciation of it is bound up in that one thing. If you want to invest, buy things that have that potential but also an appeal to you as a reader, it really doesn't feel as frustrating if the investment side doesn't pan out.
@eberp9270 Great point - thanks for sharing! Glad you found me! Thank you for subscribing! ✌️
Sorry for the vertical filming... I tried to post this as a short, but apparently TH-cam had other plans... 🤔
Really interesting breakdown 👽👍
@ValET1903 thank you Vala! 😊
Your passion is contagious, Mark! My Kallax shelves are filled to the brim with my collection of videogames and records, I might need another 4x4 if this gets serious😅 Loved your video! -Vala from Skool 🧡
@ValET1903 thank you Vala! I appreciate the kind words 😊
Such a great video! Watched right to the end and loved how you even incorporated community! 🫶🖤✨

Great video 👍🏻
@t4mmyt4z51 thank you! 🙌
Glad you're doing this, I had pondered it. I have your first video bookmarked and just throw it at people on Reddit when they ask "how do I get started reading comics?".
Thank you so much! I appreciate that! 👍
