Thank you for this lesson! How often do you use Thai style numbers in your daily life? They look pretty different from Indian-Arabian style.
You're welcome. 😀 We (Thai people) don't often use Thai style numbers in our daily life. At school Thai children are taught Thai style numbers and we often use them in Thai subject when we write the date. Nowadays some restaurants in Thailand where have 2 prices of food or drink for Thai people and foreigners, they would show prices of food or drink on the menu by Thai numbers for Thai people and Arabic numerals for foreigners.

Hello from Thailand ! You're welcome. Thank you for your compliment. I hope you enjoy learning Thai. 😀
Hello Mr. Chin! I was hoping you could number your videos, so for beginners like myself could follow your videos and learn how to have a conversation.
Hello Lakewood Montessori ! I didn't number my videos because some of my videos would be for people who have the foundation of Thai and some of my videos for beginners. I might not post my videos from the easy contents to the hard contents. Sorry about that. 🙂 I can suggest you to watch my videos from basic sentence structure in Thai, personal pronouns in Thai, Thai verbs and other videos. Hope my videos can help you to learn Thai easily. 😀

Hi Chin, I'm just starting to learn Thai, I know the consonants and vowels already 🎉, so I don't understand why a vowel is moved before the "Ro Rooa" (Taorai) when the sound is like after the consonant. Sorry I don't have the Thai keyboard. Thanks so much. In advance. I really like your videos. 🙏
Hi Politanene, hope you enjoy learning Thai. Congratulations that you know all Thai consonants and vowels. 👍 In Thai, some vowels are placed before the initial consonant for instance, เ-, ไ- Some vowels are placed after the initial consonant for instance, -า, -อ Some vowels are placed over the initial consonant for instance, อี, อิ Some vowels are placed under the initial consonant for instance, อู, อุ And some vowels are placed between the initial consonant for instance, เ-อ, เ-า You're welcome. I'm glad to hear that you really like my videos. Thank you for your support. 😀 🙏 Have fun in learning Thai !

Thank you so much! I wish I could speak Thai to be able to visit your country. I heard you are wonderful people. Kind, helpful and friendly. ❤
You're welcome ! I believe I could speak Thai with Thai people when you visit my country. 😀 Thank you for your compliment about Thai people. In my country (Thailand), there are kind people and unkind people as other countries. 😀 I hope you have a great experience with good Thai people, Thai food and Thai culture, etc. You are always welcome when you visit my country. 😀 ❤️
Why is it I've heard man is "chai" and here you say "puu-chaay?" What is the difference with or without "puu" in front? Thank you.
Because you might hear only chaay (ชาย) before. Actually, pûu chaay (ผู้ชาย) also means man, male. 🙂 chaay (ชาย) is often used as an adjective. Ex. nákrian chaay (นักเรียนชาย) = Male student. pûu chaay (ผู้ชาย) is often used as a noun. Ex. pǒm bpen pûu chaay kráp. ผมเป็นผู้ชายครับ I am a man. *pûu (ผู้) is a prefix that is used for person or some occupation. You're welcome. 😀

Is อยู่ always optional in front of ที่ไหน or are there situations where you have to use อยู่ or not use it?
We always use อยู่ in front of ที่ไหน when อยู่ means to be located and we want to the location of that place. Ex. ห้องน้ำอยู่ที่ไหนครับ/คะ? ✅️ ห้องน้ำที่ไหนครับ/คะ ❌️ ปากกาอยู่ที่ไหนครับ/คะ? ✅️ ปากกาที่ไหนครับ/คะ? ❌️ But some situation we don't use อยู่ in front of ที่ไหน like the questions in English : Where is here?, Where is this place. We will say Ex. ที่นี่ที่ไหนครับ/คะ? ✅️ Or if we want to use verb to be in this question, we will use คือ not เป็น. คือ also means to be (In this question คือ is optional.) Ex. ที่นี่คือที่ไหนครับ/คะ? ✅️ Because we want to know where this place is, not the location of this place.
Hello! I'm myanmar. I'm working now in thailand. Let me know How to study to improve my thailand speaking skill in 6 months?
Hello ! As I have taught Thai to foreigners and Burmese people as well. I would like to share my advice to study Thai and improve speaking Thai. 1. Learn grammar and vocabulary You have to learn sentence structures and then you will be able to form sentences in Thai. You also have to learn vocabulary because if you know a lot of vocabularies, you can speak with Thai people in many topics. 2. Learn and practice every day If you learn Thai by yourself, you can learn from youtube or other sources. You may plan what you want to learn today and keep practicing what you have learnt. Your Thai skills will improve every day. 3. Try to talk to Thai people if you have a chance After you learnt Thai, it's time to talk to Thai people. Example you might say sawatdii ka or other phrases and you might talk to some Thai people in interesting topics. This activity will help you to improve your Thai and make you feel confident when you speak Thai.
มีประโยชน์มาก
ขอบคุณครับ 😀
