Thank you for the insight! Nursing school is going to be challenging, you will require more critical thinking and the questions are about concepts, memorization is not as helpful a technique there. It does give you a foundation passing those classes because you build on the knowledge , but it does not make it any easier. I was in nursing school but did not complete the program due to failing pharmacology. I am reentering and they are letting me take pharmacology as standalone before continuing the core nursing classes. When I was at that school in 2020, they put 5 classes together at once and they have since updated their curriculum format. With how you’re speaking now and I’m still looking at your next videos - I believe you will be able to do very well in nursing school! Making friends to help and study with, and listening to the professor are stellar things to do.

I love your videos I currently work as a certified medical assistant and I work part time in the pharmacy and I’m falling in love with pharmacy so I’m studying to get certified so that I can move around. I thought about nursing school but it’s not for me, I’m planning to return to school for radiology or medical sonography.

I'm 28 and in the beginning of my Pre-Nursing journey. I'm in Introduction to Biology and Psychology. Psychology is a breeze, but Biology 😢 has been a Rollercoaster. So, far I'm passing with a B+. It's a pre-req for a pre-req so it doesn't count toward the requirement for Nursing school, which is Anatomy & Physiology I & II. Next semester I'll be taking Developmental Psychology, General Chemistry/Health Science, Introduction to Physiology (pre-req for AP), and Elementary Statistics. One fully online and 2 are hybrid. On top of that I'm doing Phlebotomy as well. I decided to switch to a workforce program for Phlebotomy instead of paying double tuition through the college. 😒 if only I thought of it before. I could have saved myself $600.

The memories of pharmacy staff gossip about everything, and everyone... and they tell everyone they know (even ex co workers). So, be careful if you are thinking about going into the line of pharmacy. People will only judge you by what they hear of you and make you feel that to hear your side of the story is irrelevant, which sucks. You change employment, and somehow, the staff knows your history before the pharmacist even introduces you to the team. It's a small world, which makes it toxic.

Everywhere I look pharmacy tech is a decent income. I'm older and taking the course in California there are jobs up to 100,000. In my home state of Louisiana it's 30-45 starting but for comparison I was looking at a home there for $75,000.

Is it hard to become one? I want to go to school for pharmacy tech but people are telling me it is a waste of time I can become one without any schooling. But I want to work In a hospital not retail.
