finally got my hands on the fuji system, this was a quick test of the xt3 using the Eterna profile with no other color grading, all straight out of the camera. im in love with xt3, there is something magical about this camera.

For anyone considering these lenses now: The DJI version does not work in AFC with PDAF cameras. It appears like the lens disconnects and reconnects when you try to take a picture in AFC. So I would not consider buying the DJI version with any of the newer PDAF autofocus MFT cameras.
This camera better than a lot of new cameras!!

The front elements of both lenses are so filthy dirty that it's hard to tell if any differences are due to the coatings, or just what kind of unique dirt is on each one. You really should have cleaned them first.

I dont know what other people see but the leica has the 3D pop. Clear as day! The video looks more alive while the DJI has a flat-ish low quality feel about it.
For some reason I preferred the Leica
I cannot see any difference in a 4k 32 inch wide gamut display, what you see is maybe an "out of focus" placebo, difference might exist but should be subtle and seen in special conditions.
I read somewhere (can't remember sorry) that the Leica coating is focused on improving contrast (rather than counteract flare like DJI) which probably helps with a look of greater depth.

I've found that slog2 works ok at 24p but in higher framerates it starts to get too noisy.

The color science of Panasonic is awesome. I have the same camera paired wit a video assist monitor recording BRAW. So nice to edit the footage.

Great videos! Thanks! It would be interesting to see a comparison of the Ricoh GR (2 or 3) with a Leica (DJI) 15mm 1.7 lens. I wonder how the colors and sharpness of photos differ) And of course a positive film.

Great review and answered a lot of the questions I had about the DJI lens. Did you ever get to test it in low light? The Panasonic version has nice bokeh balls of light and I wondered if the the DJI also had the same pleasing bokeh in low light, or not so much due to the different lens coating?

Please add that the DJI version is not compatible with Olympus bodies when using continuous autofocus in photo mode. It works fine in single autofocus. I think C-AF works in video mode but i haven’t tried it yet with my EM1II. I found out the hard way.
did you end up testing if it works in video? also, did updating firmware change anything?
The glass elements and body is the same....but not the coating...Leica nano coating is a patent Leica formula...country of manufacture ??resell dictates DJI is diffecult to move and prices too high

Thanks Juan. Is the G9 an upgrade over the old A6000 as far as the CAF and IQ is concerned?? I have zeroed in on the Panny G9 along with an Olly 12 to 40mm f2.8. Provided the IQ and AF is any better than the A6000. I have the A6000 with two primes sigma 16 and 56 f1.4. It is not weatherproof though and struggles to nail focus on my toddler running around. Plus Sony zooms are heavy and expensive.
The g9 is a way superior camera specially for video. It’s a 10 bit 4K camera also great for photos, the af it’s not great and I think the a6000 might be same or a lot better than the g9, again for me with the lenses you are mentioning you are going to be great! Just don’t expect great slow mo or log 10bit footage, the a6000 it’s still a good camera.

Good point about the coating difference. I have the dji version and I do sometimes see small little blue blobs of flare from point sources of light, like candles. Maybe the panasonic would behave better there. Thanks for the video!

I just go by the zebras! I don’t really over expose the footage like other people say, just try to get the scope well balance!

What I love the most is the size, electronically everything works fine, manual focus can be a pain, I use it handheld with a strap.

Yes you still need a gimbal! I recommend for the Sony apsc the feiyutech g6 max
