After a little bit of advice my Gearbox is starting to give up it’s a F 17 gearbox I have a F 18 that was recon for a different car will it fit mk2 vauxhall Zaferia 1.8 2007 if you can get back to me I would really appreciate it thank you

I arrived here in 2020 looking for info on Zafira gearboxes. My son's 1.6 Zafira B (A05) 2006 year, was vibrating like mad and a noisey gearbox. The wear on the end of that layshaft, looks identical to mine. Further inspection found that there were chips out of the diff pinions. Oil sparkly as anything. Funny that the roller bearing surfaces don't look too bad, but the box is basically scrap. Got a second hand box that looks new, from a 2007 Zaf. Problem is that the gear change bonnet is a rod change and mine is a cable. Swapped bonnets, but can't get reverse. Now I notice that the reverse selector rod in the boxes are different. The old one has a long finger on the selector and the new one a short finger, with an extension piece on the rod in the box. Have to now find a bonnet that fits, or change the gear cluster to match. Vauxhalls are crazy. Each car seems to be unique, with different parts.

Isopon zinc 182 is another great primer.

Wow this actually worked guys. My dog didn’t want me to touch her ears at first and now she lays down for me to do it. She couldn’t shake her head for months and when she would scratch her ears she would screech. It was terrible. She stopped running and playing w her sister and was less active. She’s made a full recovery . I’m so happy. Thanks so much. I keep that bottle on hand. Also you can use witch hazel. When you take out the alcohol ppl say they use this on yeast/candida ailments on humans also. I’m not sure but this seems like there’s something to this

Coul you tell me which oil os the best for f17 gearbox? In some threads I've read that GM was use some kind of atf oil for this transmission.

I have been using this for 4 days. At first she wouldn't let me touch her and we had to hold her down because her ears were hurting. Now she lays down and lets me to it and seems to enjoy it so much now my other dogs forces me to clean hers lol. She's still scratching her ear and still whines a little but before she would scream for a couple minutes untile we came in and made her stop scratching it. So something is definitely happening.

Borax is toxic. Boric acid is soothing. When I was a kid we kept it on hand to mix as an eye wash. Gentian violet was about the only thing one could use for clearing infections in deep tissue for years. Ladies used it when nothing else worked for their female troubles etc. The only contraindication is if there are open wounds or a punctured ear drum. This formula isnt intended to be in the blood stream or otherwise ingested. However for deep cleaning of ears that have no breakage of the skin membrane, I would consider this safe. My Cocker was diahnosed & awaiting oblation when I first found this. It completely cured him & he required no surgery. Since them Ive used it to cure milder infections on his successors to the throne as king of the household. Always with success.

Thought it was primed after the blasting. Very odd. I think they put a thin coat down to stop is flash rusting.

why not just blast it ,,,, think you need a few more amps on your welder too . but your patience is to be commended

Why not have it blasted and powder coated after you power wash it?

Your best off after cleaning and rinsing to soak your part in your boric acid (or similar, our electroplating company uses sulphuric) for around 1 minute just to etch your job, this helps plating stick better, then around 2 hours at 3volt, should give around 50 microns of plate, polish after and done :) hope this helps

just to add a comment , you fill the box with oil via the breather tube on top the gearbox , 13 mins 10 secs , the shinney silver bolt on top the selector housing ,

I de-grease in the diswasher! (When the wife is out)

Awesome video mate! Im doing a steel motorcycle tank which I am using it as a shell to cover a custom fuel tank underneath...changing the style of the tank. I cant afford price of an aluminium tank in the style I am wanting. I do not want to paint as I have stripped the original paint off. Going with bare metal but I cannot clearcoat bare steel. Hopefully you will confirm my answer. Can I get the same result using your system. Im after the look of the KR500 Kawasaki GP500 Grand Prix roadracer from the early 1980s which had a bare aluminium fuel tank.. Thankyou for saving me many $$$ (Pounds)
