OMG i feel old

This was when i took up this game. I heard about vanguard in august 2015.. i ordered a chronojet trial deck on amazon and i went to a few tournaments and chronojet became a comfort character and my avatar. Its my favorite and prefered vanguard series. And striding is my favorite gimmick

I really miss the Vanguard zero, its sad that they deleate the game 😢 but my favorite is the limit break season, it was so fun! G was like its ok but I like the old school style, but the legion was also fun tho 😁 But the story of all cardfight Vanguard story is really awesome and I like that old character that come back in a little bit older and I was like no way kai is back and when Aichi come back I was the legend as arrived 😎 But when its comes to G era when the shadow Paladin lurad was show I was like lurad is so strong and awesome skills etc my favorite deck 😁

I think the main problem with people not being too fond of G Anime is that they really liked to skip over certain parts of the fight or effects. That really made my interest plummet. If they did fights more like 2011 anime, I would have genuinely been more interested in G Era. Fundamentally, more cards, names and what they do are burned into my mind from the original series, but I could not tell you what Chrono Dran does with a gun pointed to my head

So while the gameplay of this format was indeed a ton of fun and very intuitive with what a players individual actions would do to affect the game, there was the major flaw that many gloss over due to nostalgia: Money. I do not believe by any stretch of the imagination that it was a good idea to start strides out with persona strides as effects. I think inherently needing two of the same card to only ensure 1 can feasibly go off is one of the worst things you can do to a person in our space. On top of that, the majority of them were beyond comprehension in terms of buying them. Glad to know nowadays that they have mostly learned their lesson and are now mostly providing stride options as cheap additions to peoples decks, alongside the fact they are able to flip freely so it can add to options for individual stride decks.

i honestly wish i could say only positive things bout G it was a bit rough for me personally, mainly cause of the players rather than the game itself. at the time i was halfway trough middle high school and didnt have a a job so i was priced out from most decks, was literally using the Seeker promo legion and threw in Altmile for some extra power until Kai legend deck came out. it didnt help that my locals was filled with ruling sharks and almost exclusively competitive players, which made it impossible to really win with my Seeker/Altmile deck, did manage to get a job later and bought Kai legend deck and BB exceed deck later . on my first and only regional i was using DDD/The Legend and got judge called almost every round cause people just couldnt wrap their head around The Legend/DDD 1 rear 2 vg swings. the last straw was when i entered locals just before V BB and DO trial decks came out, at that time i had BB Exceed deck and i went 3-1, however the 3 players i beat reported me for stacking eventho i had fresh sleeves and they shuffled my deck after every search. with all that said i pre much quit vanguard until Zero came out. the G anime i did watch way later after G Z has finished airing, the show is good tho would recommend. (sorry for a small vent but thats just how it was)

As someone who played Vanguard since Day 1, G was fun. Killed my Wallet, but fun. As for the Anime, I liked it. Alot of Waifus for Laifus and what made me fell in Love with Gears. But... I also hated it for one reason alone... They really gave Kagero the BIGGEST Middle Finger from the start! It took so long for new support to come out and as a Kagero main, it was PAINFUL!!! It took then 2 ish seasons for them to have a character important enough to use it for new cards to come out and the guy who plays Kagero from the start BARELY Cardfight!!! But over all, G was alright. It kinda also killed Vanguard in away, but alright.

What an awesome era ngl...I have never been around G, game wise. Anime wise, I was around the time G Next was on its 2nd half. I never really understood the game, and Area was kinda not motivating. I did have a Chouchou deck and yeah I had fun but I had to play remotely (kinda, text fight was not great...). It wasn't until Zero that I was able to get a greta grasp of a game.

I watched alot of youtube videos and played the demo i feel like they could have aleast updated the game Each week with new card for free and new dlc and also more character and some dub and better story lines and also more starter decks and more cards and also updating the game for sleeves and others things and also it had to be rushed or thry was to lazy and scammed people

And the issue’s not only the fact that this game’s already expensive but you have to pay almost the same amount for the DLC Booster Packs or Card Sets. And that’s not to mention paying more for other DLC stuff. Tho even with all this. It’s more cheap in comparison to simulators with micro transactions. After you spend all the money and get all the cards for example. You don’t have to spend anything more.

At this point, People might prefer CF Area/VPro than DD2 😂

Not gonna lie when you said v premium tier list i was expecting the actual decks 😢

i just don't see the point in ever playing crest nightrose when the reg deck is strong as hell and since you don't have to play 4 potential bricks you can play all the tool box stuff you want to play... for shiranui it made sense because of the rgs and vg abitlies that allow for a bunch of attacks (just like it makes sense for jet)

I know its 2 weeks after this video was published, but I would like to add that yeah, as a primarily Yugioh streamer who's never played Vanguard before, I totally would have streamed a Vanguard Master Duel equivalent. Another comparison point is that Yugioh's Dear Days Switch game equivalent, Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, which released in 2019, was only $40 at launch. A Yugioh Rush Duel format Switch exclusive game that released around the same time and also featured 3D graphics and a 3D overworld was also $40 I believe as well. What Bushiroad's asking for with the base game is essentially a quadruple A Ubisoft game.

unfortunately for me, my interests in Premium are strictly Gear Chronicle focused because it was my favorite clan aesthetically (i played them when they were bad, good, and everything in between). Even though I've been playing since 2012, if they axed Premium, I wouldn't be affected too much because as it stands my deck isn't doing as well as it once did, I'd say I could retire that version of the game having had my time in the sun with it and not regret a thing. I do also play Standard, so I would still enjoy the game in another way.

I love how people are crying about this but will then drop money for this game and buy it day one anyway. PLEASE stop enabling this nonsense.

Well at this point guess I'm gonna spend the next few years seeing if i can copy DuelingNexus for Vanguard huzzah for spite being a wonderful motivator.

Vanguard becoming the number 1 TCG is a very weird wish from Bushiroad, considering they're always looking to make new TCGs, instead of further investing in their successes with Weiss and Vanguard. Them again, Bushiroad is a weird TCG company, Cardfight Vanguard is the only game that they fully own at this point. Weiss can just die if they can't afford to pay for all those anime/game/movie licenses - Rebirth also - and Shadowverse is a collab with Cygames, which also means that it can die, if the other company loses interest in the market. In regards to DD and its sequel, they'd be amazing entry products for the franchise, if Bushiroad could just see how absurd is charging U$70,00 for a visual novel with a card game.

Honestly I think one easy solution ford dear days 2 problem with pricing is to Simply make it so that the first five sets of overdress are free to play. This basically makes it so that the initial base release of the first game becomes free for the sequel then if you want to play with all the new cards you see online or against your opponents in the story mode. Then you need to drop the $70 and keep paying for the expansions. This way we have a way of getting new people into the game with an easy essential trial run but then incentivizes them to actually pay the full price to unlock everything from set 6 onwards which with be 11 main sets and all of the side sets and decks. Which I think at that point you can much more easily sell the 70 dollar price tag, and then the 30 dollar season passes for divenz set 4 and onwards

I’ve been testing Harri a BUNCH since the new cards got revealed. In my honest opinion, while the Harri stride is definitely something we can consider playing at least 1 of for those certain scenarios. Jacqueline is actually VERY good for the strategy in terms of consistency and I’ve found to be in GREAT shape if I can get her for the G2 ride. As busted as the crest will be if you get it off, dedicating 8 spots to what’s already a pretty tight deck with already consistency issues like you said feels like medium-high risk but high reward. Instead, I’ve looked for cards that could help me with, “Trigger to guard” numbers such as Showered Applause, Cutie Paratrooper (with Harri’s stride skill) Magia Doll, Prana, & even V Masquerade Bunny as a booster that can also dig for G3’s. I know I just wrote a lot, but just sharing my knowledge in case you decide to give it a try. I’m, “Eh” about Nightrose.

Totally agree there's options for both decks with the Crest. It's been fun play testing both as well. Glad someone else is trying them out in the Premium format. Looking forward to your builds. Also thanks for the shout out! I appreciate it and glad the video was helpful!
