Memorizing Worship Music Made Easy: Discover the 3 Essential Keys
Can the infinite sustain be used just by holding the silver button or is there an additional switch that needs to be added?
Additional switch. You need a tap tempo. Cheapest easiest extra button ever.
Great overview, Ty! 2:15 How are you holding? Is it another foot pedal?
Yes! You can plug any tap tempo pedal into the cloudburst and use it as a hold. Depending on the wiring, you can toggle hold off and on with a single click, or you can set it to hold as long as you hold.
@JonnyHale Thank you!
It never comes off and your room in fact most have to much Verb before you turn Any Verb on. You think it's great but in the back it's mud. You won't accept this but it's true. Forget boost use a volume pedal. Your end tone sounds terrible. Bad. Sounds like your in a cave not a good room. You guys are so used to mud you think it's normal. Your one big rhythm sound with no fills usually. Lead guitar in praise and worship is terrible. Your covering so much vocal. All in all what's it matter. The PA has so much bass you can't hear anything anyway. I went to hear the eagles in nashville a few years ago. Great room. Everything in is space. Here every single thing is overdone. The records don't sound like that. Live it's awful. Your like the blind leading the blind and your all falling in the ditch. Praising bad sounds. If this guitar was an example of what praise guitar should sound the whole industry needs help
Hi Jonny. Whats the expression pedal you're using to sustain that decay? Sounds immense!
Just a tap tempo plugged into the cloudburst. Any tap tempo works. 💯🔥
Appreciate the review!
@@gerryjohnson7357 thanks for checking it out. It’s an incredibly fun pedal.
You have the best video explaining this song and got me to be able to play this and sound accurate. THANK YOU. I had viewed a handful of other videos and while they weren't bad, they didn't have the authenticity of the sound I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
I’m so glad it helped you. 💯 it’s a beautiful song.
Nice emotional and voice❤🎉
Thank you!
Tabs please? 😢
Beautiful guitar!
@@jasonconnors8644 thank you! I love a penguin! Nothing else like it.
What expression pedal does he have?
@@guitarplayer1114 no expression pedal just a tap tempo. The cloudburst handles all the swelling. I've used several tap tempos on this pedal. They all work. 👍🏼💯
Was looking for melody found it
Jonny, I watched a couple of you videos. Not only are they really really good and informative. I like your spirit. I can tell you're a good man. ☺
Thank you. I really appreciate that. 💯❤️

Cool.
Thanks man
@@JonnyHale your welcome
Thanks!
Sooo good
@@auburnengineer glad it helped! You’re the best.
What about the 7th chord?
@@Trucker-Belly The 7th is diminished and gets used very little in popular music… personally, I love it, but it doesn't show up much in modern music. 💯❤️
I love that your attitude!!!
Thank you! 💯❤️
Can I get the Tab Please
I wish I had it!
This was so helpful
@@silverpop113 ❤️💯 im glad.
Been playing for a little over a year and I've never heard of natural notes... but I'm stuck on the Ab/C .
@@aaronnajera784 Natural is the normal note. Let’s say the 3rd fret E string is G natural. If I say G flat, I would move down to the second fret, which is G flat (Gb). If I say G sharp, I would move up to the 4th fret, which is G sharp (G#). Natural is a fancy way to say, “Play that regular old note exactly where it belongs.” Sharp means move up one fret. Flat means move down one fret. Moving up or down 1 fret/note is called a “half step.” You'll hear some European people call it a “semitone”
Cool breakdown. Though I prefer to read a “B” instead of “Cb” chord. 😂
understandable. I don’t write the theory I just follow it. 😂🤣😂
Oh, that was re your chord sheet - you have written part of the chord pattern as … Db - Cb - Gb.. and so fort, when it should be Db - B (not Cb) - Gb… 👍
@@bismarckimages Cb is correct in that key. Like I said: I don’t make up music theory I just follow it.
Hi Jonny. Dif you ever make parts 4 and 5?
😳 I haven’t. I need to add chords and probably dynamics. Are there any other fundamentals you can think of that would be helpful? I’ll make those videos next.
Excellent analogy about the main voice. This helps to inform what we play, and how we should mix.
Thank you! Great point with that also informing mix. It’s so true top to bottom in a worship set.
This is very helpful, thank you!!
I’m glad it helped! Such a fun tune!
SO helpful!!
Thanks! I'm glad it helped.
Thanks for this!
Anytime! 💯❤️
😯
Theory in a Praise Band? Their idea of a cool chord is C#m.
🤣😂🤣 You're not wrong. But I will do everything in my power for it to start changing. lol!!
Hey I’m here for the music stand burning..
2nd Saturday of every month is deliverance from mediocrity service. Hope to see you there.
Cool
In some ways yes, but everyone I know that came up through theory plays a very similar way. Learning theory after years and years is helpful, but theory is a style killer
I think theory is a style substitute for many. It doesn’t kill style. It just gets learned by people who never had or wanted to develop any. I definitely know where you’re coming from. We’ve all met that guy.
Simple and clear
Thanks for this info ... I had same question in mind when to use sharp or flat
It’s a confusing concept. It’s even more confusing when you throw in double sharps. 😂😂
beef lat
The juiciest of all the music keys.
I've never tuned my guitar to Eb, but I have tuned it to D# 😉
this is my pastor
Note though that you can call the chord A#, just not the key, for example, if ure playing in the key of F#, the chord would be A#m and not Bbm.
That's true. You can also call the key A# if you want to deal with double sharps and 10 sharps in one key… but who wants that!?!? 🤣😂
Verdi just left the chat 😂 he wrote some pieces in Db minor. Great excercise! I believe keys depend on what type of music and instrument you play on.
Why does ur guitar look so dry? Or is it a design?
It's a 1962 LG 0 that for sure spent time in an attic/garage/some other abusive location.
It doesn't matter what you call it, it matters if you play and know what your playing
True. But what you call it isn’t for you to know. It’s to tell other people so they know; being efficient with language lets you get to being creative faster.
- Ab - Bb - C# - Eb - F#
You're missing a D and the music readers would hate you for this. 🤣😂
It would be Gx, which is more of a pain than going and doing it in Bb also theres other instruments that this would be ridiculous for for instance clarinet or tenor sax
Nice video
Thanks
You could call it A#, but then you would have to use double sharps for notes like A, which would become G##, so it’s also just less of a hassle to use Bb
You could play in 10 sharp A#. You could check to see if the iron is hot with your forehead. Both of them are possible and painful.
Mind blown🤯🤯🤯
OMG IS THIS DOCTOR STRANGE?!
Great Value Doctor Strange. Mom: “We already have Dr. Strange at home” 😂🤣
Are you going to play this song on one of the worship sets?
Yep.
@@JonnyHale let me guess you’re going to play it in the key of A or lower instead of Bb?
Well keep it in Bb.
5:30 ms Sorry wait I thought the phrase was always Even numbers alternate Odd numbers sweep? 'Like the video! New subscriber 👍
Yes! I said it backwards. 😳 Odd sweeps. Even alternates. In the words of the great American scholar Willy Wonka: “Strike that… reverse it.”
@@JonnyHale Perfect - thanks for the clarification! And thanks again for video!
That’s good advice.
Thank you.
@@JonnyHale you’re welcome
