Nestled on a hundred acres in the mountains of San Diego County, Red Cloud Ranch is a dream that has become a reality. When we bought the land there was nothing on it but an old green barn. From there, step by step, it has grown into a unique property that offers a little something for everyone.
Red Cloud Ranch is a beautiful place on many levels. My wife Marilyn and I have worked together to make RCR a place where our family can gather and friends are always welcome. But, more than that, the ranch has enabled us to create a dynamic new way of life that I’m excited to share with you.
Red Cloud Ranch has given me the opportunity to take a new lease on life, to step away from the rat race and live life to the fullest. It is more than a place, it’s a mindset for a purpose-driven life filled with learning and adventure.

Life is Better With a Project
Projects keep me engaged with life and give me something to look forward to. On the ranch, I've completed numerous projects: horse stalls, paddocks, a gun range, big benches, stone curbing, stone walls, stump coffee tables, and a huge dining room table. The list goes on.
In my travels around the backcountry, I've partnered with various people for projects. We harvest wood from dead oak trees on the ranch and from a local guy who does the same. We've bought beautiful oak logs, cut, and dried the planks.
We also met a local seller of goat milk products and partnered with her to create our own goat milk soap with custom designs and scents. I love partnering with passionate and skilled people, and we're always looking for new collaborations.
The RCR store is dedicated to the products we love and use, with a commitment to give back to the community. A portion of our sales continually supports local projects. It's rewarding to see the direct impact on individuals and the community. As we grow the RCR store, we aim to fund more projects.
Red Cloud Ranch believes in the power of a project to create a life you love. We champion makers, artisans, and craftspeople by curating local products made with passion. If we don't use it, we don't sell it.
