First time at Donnington national managed a 1.17.7 Car was struggling with gear selection so braking zones where compromised abit and suffered what I believe to be tps issues (yet to be confirmed) as you can make out in the video it was cutting out briefly. honda s2000 ar1 Apr wing ap racing bbk k24 303hp struggling abit with gears being stiff and a faulty slave not helping. would love to get back at Castle combe with some direzza or crs tyres. pretty confident there is low 1.12 in the car possibly even 1.11!

K24 314hp Ar1 Aero BBK Managed sub 8 after 8 laps but curcit got abit busy so didn't improve other than the optimal. 7:30 is in the car... Maybe not the driver. Can't wait to get back out there!

Here's my k24 Honda s2000 at the nurburgring only managed 1 full lap before it went horribly wrong from having a engine failure! Steering kept going hard from catching the chassis leg I'm assuming yet to look into it! Would have been nice to get upto speed with a clear lap to see what it can do but unfortunately it retired early. Will be back again but not for a good while! Enjoy 😁

How come you’ve stopped Rev matching the down changes? 😢
@adam_s2k due to gear engagement issues, it was making it worse as the synchro'sare shot. Was easier to brake and wait for a lower rpm to engage the gear... you can see going up the gears it's very slow and forceful

@adam_s2k my mate built mine but is swamped with work atm but I'm sure area motorsport or one day motor sport could build it for you.

Great video, I have a high mileage S2000 F20c and am thinking about switching to K24. Would you recommend it? It’s a weekend car with occasional track days.
What is your goal with the car just more power? Personaly if your not going for lap times f22c is the way to go

K24a3 bottom end wisco 12.5.1. 5 oversize pistons , manley rods, K20 pump baffled sump K20z4 head port and polished, drag cartel 3.2 cams Ferrea valve guides 3" exhaust, 1320 manifold, pracworks intake manifold, 74mm tb, mugen style airbox. Around 300hp 8300 redline
out of all the shift knobs you have tried, which one is your favorite?
Depends on position but generally I prefer a shaft... But in the S2000 the tgr forged carbon one I have has been my favourite
Ain't it funny when much more expensive cars won't get out of the way because their ego is too big and even though you are showing far more pace except the straight.

@@matty5133 so what you gonna run the. 9j front 245 8j rear 215/225? I think it will be a good improvement. As for the ring just do it as its the best experience you will do in terms of car trips!

Thank you! I did have oil starvation on my last motor in very tight left hand corners problem is now solved. BWE k2f adapter, hasport mounts, 2nrs flywheel and harness

@@likwong7786 custom pan enlarged to 6 litres.... Speed academy in TH-cam did a video of there's it's abit different to mine but that was how I increased the volume... Also run a track tuff oil pump baffle

Hi mate nice to meet you! Yeah be good to know what you think the problem is? I have changed the sensor with a used item so I asmuned it was the heat from the flat floor!
@@daniellawrence8876 I've had this happen to me once where the steering would go heavy in certain corners / conditions. It was electrical, more specifically a bad ground. Had other S2K owners have similar problems with small batteries or alternator issues. Try throwing a traditional battery one in and test and make sure to replace the ground cable from the battery to the chassis. Pretty low $$ fix / something to try really quick.
@@darekkoman7697 yeah I will give that ago won't hurt adding more earth's for the battery and steering RACK! The battery is actually more powerful than the oem battery.
@@daniellawrence8876 Yup, I rock a lithium iron unit myself with no issues. Some less quality units with poor or no management systems have caused some electrical gremlins in the past due to not meshing will with alternators / vehicle load. Also make sure you have bare metal under the grounds and what not. Elimination based troubleshooting at its finest. Good luck hunting down the issue!

Yes mate I actually run 2 clockwise motion and a track tuff and still wasn't up to it.. Going to make a custom pan and run a S2000 oil pump instead of the k20 one. Hopefully that solves it

Is the gauge on left your Oil pressure?
Yeah was the cause of it blowing up next lap. Unsure why it was so bad seemned fine on the previous track day I did, unsure why it was so bad here!. Need to move the gauges to a place where I can monitor them better especially for when I go to the ring as the track requires alot more concentration.
@@daniellawrence8876 Holy Shit :D , especially in left turns the pressure drops very low. Blow my engine last year too. I never manage to keep an eye on the gauge when im driving. Nice Driving! Keep up!
@@AMIRE360 on UK tracks it's abit easier but looking back I'm abit annoyed at my self for checking. Also need to get some better gauges so they have some sort of alarm to warn me!

@@pvm3593 yeah for reliability it's spot on tbf I only rev it to 8300rpm with stock bottom end to make as much power as I can whilst keeping the reliability. But if your building one I highly recommend the skunk 2 dic cams over the others as they make the most drivable power!

Decent! I was at Anglesey the day before on the GP layout. First time there too, such a good track. I'll be doing the costal next time though, as the corkscrew looks mega. What power does this push out? Also what's the weight of the car?
Yeah gp is good costal is definitely better! Can't wait to get back there once the car is back to where its supposed to be 😂. Is about 270hp and 1180kg in this video! 😁

Yeah mate was running the 4.1 fd sold the 4.7 due to putting a k24 frank

Nice driving. Have you tried the older AD08R tyres before the AD08RS? I'm considering getting the RS also for an S2000 as the R have been discontinued. I'd appreciate your opinion on how they compare. I found the AD08R great on track and on the road.
Hi mate the ad08r are slightly better than the rs I think it's just a case of people hating on them as people don't like change! I was on the rs up front and ad08 rear was getting slight understeer compared to normal but managble. I think think they are still good for money as you will get 5/6 track days to a tyre and still do decent times.
