Great review. I have one of the little ones and hubby put a cast iron grate in the bottom. Works so much better now. I really appreciate you showing the size weight comparison. 👍
Put a jack stove in the protector...a hole
Seen several rain flys that now include the stove vent
Awesome video, mate! Useful and entertaining at the same time. Bought this oven a few days ago and had some niggles with smoke everywhere. Will try to adjust the flute like someone else mentioned in the comments. Also never considered using legs without the extension, but I think I will actually love that as it'll take up less space and lets you put chairs closer to it. Subscribed, hope you're getting the 1000 full soon, well deserved!
Hi , I love it ! Use it in an out side kitchen , use it mostly open top door ajar and grate off old bbq over the fire box cook in cast fry pans grill baskets and pots , can burn awkward shape wood in the open fire box , if closed up leave the door ajar and good hardwood is better it does smoke a bit can’t use it in a tent but maybe the fire door seal rope you can buy might help , good off set in the chimney , got the side plates too handy for moving items around while cooking , love it !! Thanks for your review ! Chris ❤
Why would you need to hold your phone or have it on selfie stick if you are watching tv?
Less tellers at the banks, less bank branches and charging to withdraw cash, not the country we grew up in Sam
Just bought this after researching it. I think it would be good to have at home too. Our grandsons and I put it together, but found the legs a bit difficult to screw in so we rubbed soap on the connection ends. It worked. The store has a sale on them now for $129 also discounts on other bundles with it. $69 for the smaller ones.
I am wondering what the difference would be to cook with char coal?
This is the best most comprehensive video I have seen so far.
Pretty❤
Been looking at these recently, again haha, was undecided, your vid just decided for me 😅 impulse purchase online completed 😄
Haha! I've done a few impulse buys of late as well haha. 🙃
@TheDadventures just subscribed too. We're just starting to get out and about a bit again now up around the Hunter Valley, gotta say I really enjoy watching your videos, wish I'd stumbled upon them a lot earlier cheers 👍
Add oil on your egg carton. Use old tea bags dried out with oil too. Many saffas do it this way.
is your stove too big

I love your video ...planning to do this walk with my toddler and dog this Saturday..so excited
Beautiful hike and video !
One of the few videos showing hot tent camping in Australia; little bit lucky with low winds there, being in a bell tent.
We live in Ireland... the reason we always use a footprint under our groundsheet is simply that it is easier to clean the footprint (a plastic tarp). Even after a long stay the underside of the sewn in groundsheet is clean and dry.
Well organised campers peg out the base of their tent over a large plastic tarp a,d mark the footprint of the tent on the tarp. They then cut the tarp to the shape of the footprint. We are less well organised, we just fold the uncut tarp back under the tent, making sure that no part of the tarp is visible (so as not to collect water). Irsh camping conditions are rather different - managing hot weather is not an issue! Heavy rain and gale force winds are part of the fun. We are just back from a 3 week stay in the wettest summer recorded, and we survived! Largely due to the large, heavy and amazingly robust Dutch pyramid tent we invested in a few years ago. In these conditions the inner tent is essential. Now looking for a bell tent for shorter stays
I now have the kings premium and the ozpig traveller, both work really well, but pound for pound I do believe the kings is better value for money. I am not saying the O P traveller isn't a good camp oven /heater, it is, but the kings is better value for the dollar. Great presentation and thankyou.
These are the 2 I'm tossing up between
Which one puts put more heat for using as a fire pit when cooking is done
TBH I think the Kings, But it is thinner than the Ozpig, so the life of the unit would be shorter! It won't handle a hotter fire than the Ozpig. @@tristanpearce78
Do you have a footage of the ski place during summer?
Just a tip when cooking on any wood stove including ones in the home if you are lucky to still have one. The little round plates you have on your stove top are actually meant to be removed so that you have direct heat straight to the bottom of the pan. You'll notice the heat increase drastically. Also you will notice water will come to boil at a faster rate than a gas stove. That is because there is little to no heat loss and it's concentrated to the bottom of the pan. My grandfather taught me how to master the art of cooking on an in house wood stove and the above is what he taught me. This works with camp ovens as well which have the round holes covered with a plate on top. Hope this helps 👌

We have the same tent, White Duck, and are taking it out for the first time soon. Great video. Peace and Blessings
Can you share the details of the bell tent - model , specs etc link? Thanks
Since I last seen this video post and responded to it I finally got a bell tent which is only a 3 season tent and for the price I couldn't pass it up and since it is normally hot in the summer here this tent has 7 windows and the nice thing about it is if it starts to rain you don't have to go outside to close the the flaps on the 3 upper windows you can zip open the screen and unhook the flaps and zip them close and just zip the screens back close all from the inside and same way with the 4 side windows and like said the price is what got at 180 dollars with tax and shipping and I got the tent the day after I ordered it by regular shipping cost and out in the sunshine with just the 3 top windows open and the door flaps open so air can blow thru the tent it kept it nice in it with a breeze and I can imagine if I opened the other 4 windows how much cooler it would have been, and on a cold night without any type of heat to keep it warm just everything closed and zipped up and just from my body heat when I woke up in the middle of the night it was quite nice not cold and not hot it was comfortable inside with no condensation on the ceiling or walls, but I do plan on getting a ground sheet for it and a fan to use when I'm sleeping, but I do have plans to get a 4 season bell tent and it will be at least a 5 or 6 mm one because I like not having to duck down to get into the tent and I'm going to build a platform to put the tent on off the ground and have it where I don't have to take it down and get one with an extra door, because when I build the platform it's going to be big enough it will have a fully functional lavatory and shower house with running water and close in the backdoor area to have storage space and the lavatory will be heated and cooled kinda like a place to get away when I want and make foray with a solid door that can be locked and I saw that on a video and thought it was a good idea for safety reasons. As for now I'm enjoying the tent I have and learning as I go with it on what is possible and what's not possible with one and the tent I have is by Timber Ridge and I couldn't believe the price of it all I thought it would have a lot of defects and I haven't found one loose threading on it and I really looked it over and if doesn't leak when I get a chance to test it then I'll really be glad I made the decision to purchase this tent for now.
That's awesome Dwayne!!! They are amazing tents!
Thankyou for such a lovely video. So positive. Even now in 2023 this makes so much sense more then ever. And something myself and my partner were meant to hear today. Thankyou
Lovely video
Enjoying your videos mate, your showing peeps you dont need massive Landcruisers and crazy mods to enjoy time out there. Great footage!!
Can you use this over a decking area?
So I've had one of these kings second gen stoves for just under a year now and i struggle big time with keeping the fire alive. You can't have the lid and door closed to slow burn, it just puts it out and pumps smoke. Leaving the door open/lid on causes similar effect. Open top seems to be the best but then cooking is a nightmare. I'm using 2 year seasoned wood so there should be no excuse there. Any tips on how to get a decent hot, long lasting burn?
This camp oven has two tear modes, one is when you sit around it and the second is when you realize you've wasted your money
Good video mate, do you reckon you could put some sort of seal under the top plate to prevent that smoke escaping? I would like one of these to use in the shed with doors closed. Cheers!

Ha, there it is all packed up at 1:30! This is rarer than that pokemon that guy in the blacked out van told me about. 😀 That thing looks like it's 4 ft long and 2ft tall/wide. Slightly larger than a synthetic tent. ok... back to watching the review!
Now this comment makes more sense now hahah. Yeah it's about 4ft long and about only 1 ft tall and about 1.5ft wide.
Planning a 5000km trip with my ex-wife and our daughter. I've been eyeing a 4m WhiteDuck Regatta for the trip and for work instead of staying in hotels. Haven't camped in 20 years so this video answered a few questions I had. It was also nice to get an inside view of a 4m. I'll have to keep looking for a shot of the tent packed up so I can see how much room it takes up in the vehicle. Thumbs up!
Thanks mate!! Hope your trip will be amazing :)
If it's your ex wife I would get a 5m one... or bigger
Great info. Thanks! I😊
Thanks Angela :)
Hey mate, would really love even a small update on how the stove has done after a year? I'm weighing up between this and a oz pig. don't have much hope for these to last long compared to the Oz pigs, when u knocked on it I actually giggled and though "shit, I have baking pans thicker than that😂" My pocket would love for u to probe me wrong... but sadly I think Oz pig will be the winner, especially with the new 2.0
Hi Jared! Thanks for dropping by. No problems that I've noticed. I do want to give the Oz Pig a go though! I've heard some great stuff about it too! You gotta let me know how you go. And yes, the scientific "knock" test hahahahha.
@@TheDadventures definatly will let you know. Thank you for that. Glad u got a product that works from them.

Great review - thanks mate. I've been considering the OZPig and looking around for comparisons. Re: smoke/burn rate/control - a video review of one of the OZPig stoves identified the "spark arrester" as a choke on the draw affect of the flue/chimney, reducing airflow and causing smoke and flame out the front/top and hindering the operation of that product (legal and safety clowns getting involved where they shouldn't). Removing said spark arrester solved the problem there. Also the length of the flue matters - more length = more draw. I want to semi-permanently place mine at home and will experiment with this to clear pergola etc. Liked and subed.
Hey mate! that's really good to know. I'm going to adjust mine and see how it fairs. Appreciate you stopping by!
Thanks mate👍❤👍
Just ordered one for me after watching your video. You've answered to all my questions 1 year ahead. What a magic! Thanks heaps mate!
Great video guys well done, this is our video from Guthega to Mount Tate check it out th-cam.com/video/IUdHPKiSMCg/w-d-xo.html
Hey, thanks for the awesome video. I'm will buy a Canvas Camp Sibley 500 Protech next year and I have a lot of questions haha :D Many of them were answered just by your video! Thanks! But one is still there and I don't find a answer on it in the video or on the website from Canvas Camp, maybe you can answer it :) I also want to run a wood stove inside the tent and I was thinking about the exit for the chimney, do I have to cut a hole in the tent by myself or is the hole with the exit pre installed? And when I have to cut it by myself, how did I do it? :O Would love to here your experience with it! Thanks again! Kind greetings from Germany Cheers Chris
