Secret Ending In Resident Evil 4 Remake?
If they add a sleep mechanic that allows players to skip night phases then they need to add in something that can only be collected at night. That way players are forced to at least occasionally venture out in the dark, but they can moderate how much they do so and when. If you allow players to avoid nights all together then they will do so and deny themselves the opportunity to have some great emergent gameplay moments.
A majority of players have never seen the bulb area...ARE YOU SERIOUS...you suck at this.
Its true tho
Sorry you didn't enjoy the video.
I think there should be areas where the the water fog density thickens, so there are areas that you can barely see 2 meters infront of you and areas where you have better visibility. Would bring a whole lot of terror and would make the map more interesting
That could be cool
The developers DEFENITELY know that Subnautica 2 has to bring terror, just look at the trailer
Here is HOPING, but remember the initial trailer for the first game showed the sea emperor and she ended up being friendly.
All i want is cooler robots and atlis and scary fish
We need more scary fish and variety!
I hope they make the map twice as big, below zero’s map was very small, and the first game’s map is pretty big but you get to the death zone pretty quickly
Very true I hope the map is massive!
I don’t get the whole not scary thing, considering subnatica is a open-world action survival and not a horror game.
I mean fair enough, lots of people find the world very scary and the music and sound design is definitely scary even if not intentional. I am hoping for more of that
You do realize you can take the clyclops into the active lava zone right? And the sea truck into the twisty bridges and the jelly caves or whatever they're called
That is true, many ways of playing the game which what makes the game so good!
I think the biggest thing Subnautica 2 needs is some kind of map, I was thinking something like The far cry 3 map where you have to visit areas that have special areas of interest to unlock sections of the map
MMM idk about this one chief, I really want the game to stay away from gaming norms but it depends how they implement it into the game. I'm also thinking worse case scenario for what your saying so I'm sure the devs could do something like that and it be just fine.
What do you mean grab attack? Thats a death animation
You are getting grabbed?? Yeah it kills you?? But if you are in a prawn suit or a seamoth the grab attack doesn't kill you? I feel like you are arguing for the sake of arguing over the fact I just called it a grab attack when it doesn't matter what I name the attack?
I highly disagree with forcing you to visit every biome. It makes the game feel tiny. Im still finding new biomes in the first game today. I found all the biomes in BZ in the beta. Nothing has been added since release. Its boring.
Yeah complaining about something that supposed to happen in the game basically🤷♂️ there’s some parts that you don’t know about The or something like that but if you know how in the ocean works and how the creature works underwater, maybe you should do more history lesson on the bottom of the ocean🤷♂️
The Dunes can have many useful resources like the prawn suit drill arm, that’s where I got mine.
True, but you can also get that exact item from 5+ other biomes I believe. Not to say the biomes are useless I just want more from them.
@ True. I would like Subnautica 2 to have a dangerous biome have a good resource in a lot of places, and have a safer biome have that resource be very rare.
I like the islands, the icy land in below zero not so much
Agreed.
Nothing wrong with having land, the problem is making all the main story stuff land based
True
I see this a lot about the dialogue in Below Zero and I want to know where this idea of constant yapping comes from, because it simply isn't true
Recently played the games back to back, lots of dialogue in the bz apposed to the first, that's all it is?
I hope they give it VR support 🙏🙏🙏
VR in the first goes crazy
For me, the clipping of creatures through the ground and stiff/rigid animations need to be made way cleaner. It can really hurt the immersion.
Very true
Bowser😩
Bro wants Cole from Ninjago, that’s crazy
Dark souls remastered is an S
I think the stalker argument is a little weak. I don't think the fauna is something intentionally used as an interactable opportunity. None of it is very intuitive. The way to get teeth is downright explained to you by Bart's voice log. While some of the animals are useful I don't think the intention of the game is to 'use' the animals.
nah point 5 is just wrong, imo you need that little bit of forgiveness, even if it's random or at least a difficulty slider/selecter, I'm already scared by the leviatans like this, if I can't even use my only weapon, the defence sistem, against them i'm cooked. and the reinforced suits shuld let you take less damage from the leviatans because when you gained them you should be able to not get damaged by anthing else than a leviatan, i'm on my third playtrough of subnautica 1 and I remember that in my first when I obtained the reinforced suit it was only usefull against cave crabs and fall damage because I was already dodging every other creature, whilist not getting even close to a leviathan and that extra free hit and forgiving ai problably made so I still play, because if I lost everything in my first playtrough because a leviathan ate me alive without any real chance to react I'd be pissed, the firsts time I encounter a new leviatan yes I want to be scared of them but I also want to discover how to evade them. it's no fun searching the internet and finding "if a reaper charge at you you should dodge left or right wile charging at them" but if you find it out on your own then it's the most rewarding thing ever
0:11 …..YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS MASSIVE LOOOOWWWW TAAAAAPERRR FADEEEEE
I like the perimeter defense system, but I think it should use like 30% of your battery to use it so you really don't want to use it that often.
“Naahhhyuuu mouww land”
I fundamentally disagree with making leviathans killable and that they should kill you honestly at all, the AI needs improving yeah but for 90% of gameplay it’s way scarier if you get attacked by the reaper and then make a narrow escape. In any horror game, once something kills you properly it immediately looses a good amount of its terror. Leviathans should attack, damage you or your ship significantly, swim directly away for a couple seconds and then double back giving you the potential of escape while still feeling chased. And if it destroys your ship it should leave carrying a piece of it away, that way it leaves you in suspense and fear. Perimeter defence system is still whack though and the stasis Rifle should one or two shots per battery. Both should have far larger cooldown cause that way you trivialise the leviathan and remove the terror another way.
Fair enough
Perimeter defense systems are too over powered. they cost 1% power to use, you can spam them every two seconds even though they deter effected creatures for about 6-7 seconds, and it effects everything within a sphere around the vehicle at just the push of a button. No aiming or choosing a single target to lock onto, just spam PDS around hostile creatures and you'll never have to interact with them. I feel like it would be more balanced and make a lot more sense if it had a very long cooldown and took like 15% power to use, more like an "oh %@$#" button than a first response. After all, it doesn't make sense that discharging a massive electricity field into the water THAT YOU CAN VISIBLY SEE only uses 1% power and is ready again in 2 seconds.
Someone's gonna skin me alive but S: Elden, Blood, DS1:R A: Sekiro, DS3, DS1 B: DeS, DS2/DS2:Sofs C: DeS:R
Bro...
I know that you have a point with needing every biome to be explored but I think that it’s actually more important to leave a few areas that you have no reason to explore. It was awesome whenever I was on another play through and found a unique niche area.
True, it makes the world feel more alive when you find those "hidden gems."
Good summary. Regarding sleep though, I would've made it just that sleeping saves the game (I would also add a single-use craftable item that can save the game - say data log - but it must be very expensive to craft). Would get extra meaning to both bases and large submersible as it will act as mobile checkpoint. Also to expand your point about game being too easy, in the game you can solve problems too easily: e.g. oxygen mechanic becomes irrelevant once you get Seamoth. I would've made it just carry a lot of oxygen, but expend it over time (and expend a lot of it during entry\exit since it don't have an airlock). Make base and Cyclops don't produce oxygen until you install power-hungry oxygen machine or have a lot of plants (in base), thus you would have to use pipe mechanics to bring oxygen to base (yes Subnautica have pretty cool oxygen pipe construction mechanic that practically nobody uses) or surface in case of a submarine. Same with food. A single tree will end all hunger concerns. Same with power. Biomass reactor just trivalizes this aspect of a game (who ever build power lines?) Etc., etc. Finally I believe they need to add more gadgets that you can make.
I agree with all of this pretty much. I wouldn't mind seeing a minor debuff for sleep deprivation though. Maybe below 50% sleep you have 80% oxygen, and at 25% and below you have 50% oxygen. In vehicles you can only get to 50% sleep max. That way vehicles can keep you from being completely crippled, but without a good night's (or day's) sleep you can never feel 100%, and you have to take more breaks due to being chronically exhausted.
ironically I'm literally preparing to kill all three sea dragons in my current playthrough simply because I can't kill the warpers lmfao the game does a good job at making you use the prawn suit in the final area though - the seamoth is great, it's fast, small, evasive, and can go anywhere it can fit since it's not stuck relying on legs or a grapple, which could easily mitigate the warper threat and allow you to escape the sea dragon more easily. it would be my vehicle of choice for the lava zone if not for the max crush depth being only 900 meters - the cyclops would also mitigate the warper threat, but you still can't park it anywhere in the lava zone unless you want lava larvae (which I don't want to deal with even if I do have the thermal reactor and shield generator) - the prawn suit remains the only option. the thing I don't like about the prawn suit specifically is the movement. it's slow, gets stuck on small objects and small bumps in the terrain, and the grapple for some reason is programmed to have input delay. the movement of the prawn suit tells me it is built for fight, not flight, so fight I shall.
i might be wrong, but i'm pretty sure you need the prawn suit in below zero? no actual evidence to back it up, i just know i had THE WORST time finding all of its fragments and got frustrated bcs i couldnt go on without it lol. Some of these arent that much of an issue for me, but they would be welcome improvements! :) also dont come for my guy alan, i loved his yapping! he reminds me of Connor from DBH
I honestly love alan as well haha I just wish he added more to the game. He was more intrigued by the human species so we learn nothing about his species because of it. I've always built the prawn suit but to my knowledge its not needed.
Yeah they need to make it to where the leviathans are harder, honestly screw it, give us a leviathan egg that we can use to make a mini version of said leviathan. Otherwise than that I agree with your points
Immediate hard disagree on the land thing, like in its absolute entirety lmao
Subnautica land is fine. BZ land is not. IDK if that helps haha
I want more depth in the research part more goals .mabey some terraforming adding fish to dead zones maybe managing temp oxygen levels in water acid levels i wana feel like a underwater scientist with a goal i loved researching fish in the first game especially keep specimens in the fish tanks
BZ tones down scanning a lot lets hope they fix that.
Love to see someone not hating on ds2
The reaper will always instant-kill you with his grab attack if you're below 80 health (or lower in the Reinforced suit) The instances where he seems to monch you from 100% are cases where he hit you, then hit you _again_ right after and the first hit put you in the death zone.
In my testing there is more to it then that but in the grand scheme if you go off that info you'd survive the world just fine.
Nice stream
now i disagree with having leviathan class creatures such as the reaper simply being able to one shot you. in my opinion that just makes the game unnecessarily more difficult than it needs to be while only making it more interesting for the more hardcore players. the fact that they attack you once and back off a bit to give u time is excellent especially for early game when you might not have something like the stasis rifle. another thing having sleep as some kind of progression bar isn’t gonna make the game better it just adds one additional heinous task to watch for on top of eating and drinking already. being able to skip the night seems like a cool idea but at the same time that takes away from some of the terror the game could bring as only playing at day would it make it harder for creatures to sneak up on you as often if you can see them coming too early. one thing i would like for them to change is for larger vehicles like the cyclops to not run out of power too fast. my first experience with the cyclops was horrible as i turned off the engine but left the lights on not knowing that drained the power cells especially as fast as it did. after spending about an hour getting the power cells especially charger and recharging all the cells i had i ran into the same issue again cause i left the outside flood lights on by accident for a few minutes and it killed my power cells. more or less i also, as a new player, didn’t know how to recharge my cyclops without going back to base to use the power cell charger until i later found out there was a thermal charging upgrade i could find which wasn’t obvious or directed to in any way. enough yapping though overall it would be nice to have a little more direction in terms of what we actually need in the game and preferably the leviathans don’t need to one shot the players 2-3 hits is just fine but of the damage is increased it would be nice to be able to pinpoint their locations slightly better
no no no, please do not require sleeping.
I cant live without cyclops. Bring him BACK
No to the sleeping idea. Food, water, power, structural integrity is enough. If you want to include sleep just have timed events like certain mats/life forms only come out at night/day and so you sleep to speed up time to collect those mats at those times. Bring back the terror is a massive thing that below zero lost mainly because of the focus of the land sections. The deep oceans need to be a bit darker, more risks that are actual threats, huge shapes/silhouettes in the darkness. Visibility in the deep is much less than what the game allows. Absolutely agree the threats from levitation class threats should do more damage. If a Great White got you, you're dead. So should it be in this game.
2:03 I do think that if you *have to* go to *every* biome, then it makes the world building less effective as it feels like everything revolves around you, and in a game like Subnautica you are supposed to feel small and insignificant. However, having the Bulbzone basically be useless was a big mistake.
Its more like every biome has necessary items needed to survive the world, Instead of just being there. No tick box or marker.. none of that. Simply you explore this biome thoroughly you get key items for survival or a reason for this biomes existents on the planet. E.G and ecosystem like the Jellyshroom caves.
I do get that everyone wants that fear factor back in SN 1 and hate that Below Zero didn't lean into it as much, but I think there's a big reason why it didnt really try to. Subnautica is a non-recreatable game. There's nothing now that can scare me in the same way that Subnautica originally did. That said, when you beat the game (or even before you do), the fear is truly diminished. You got through it. The main thing for Below Zero was that it decided that itd be best to slide away from the terror that Subnautica brought you, and lean more into storytelling, because ultimately, it was never going to recreate that feeling that Subnautica OG brought us anyway. This is why I think Unknown Worlds changed the direction; they wanted to do something new when their old shtick just wouldn't be the same. If Subnautica 2 wants to lean back into that fear of the ocean again, great! But ultimately, people are going to complain that it's not as scary whether or not the devs try to lean into the horror, because we have Subnautica OG to help us understand this ocean
@@3ggPankak3s 100% agree
Make the prawn suit less overpowered. In Subnautica, it can tank hits easily from any leviathan, and also deal damage back to get them off of you. You can literally ignore the ghost juveniles in the lost river with the prawn, since they do like 9 damage per hit. The prawn also completely trivializes the land sections in bz, since it is faster than the snowfox with the grapple arm and completely bypasses the cold mechanic while giving longer battery and storage. It is completely immune to damage from snow stalkers and you can't get knocked out of it by ice worms.
One of the MAIN reasons Subnautica managed to illicit such feelings of horror, awe, etc., that you forgot to mention: Simon Chylinski's sound design and music. As you drop into into the Blood Kelp forest, the music that starts there, after many play throughs, still gives me heart palpitations. Unfortunately, they lost Simon, and I don't think he'll be back.
You are correct, his music is amazing
I want maps...a rotable mini map in the hud and a full size map in a menu
